Cervinia, New Year 2020

Our first trip to Cervinia, chosen for the promise of early season snow and sure enough we were blessed with perfect skiing conditions and 6 days of bright sunshine. Cervinia is a fantastic resort for beginners and intermediates who want long, wide pistes which were ridiculously empty given the time of year. In reality it is a network of blue pistes, even the reds are not at all difficult and we didn't find a black all week. Plenty for snowboarders too with lovely soft powder just beside the main pistes. The appartment owner, Roberto is a great guy. He lives next door and he will answer any queries and sort any problems straight away. The appartment has everything you need but don't expect luxury or modern refinement. We had 10 adults in our party and it was a squeeze but we were expecting that and coped accordingly. Unfortunately the only negative is the location of the appartment. It is at the lift station Cielo Alto which is between Cervinia and Valtournenche. There are 2 restaurants there which are both good and friendly and not over pricey. They also sell basic provisions and pastries etc for breakfast but when you need to do a big shop you will need to go down to Cervinia which is where the problems start. Cervinia is a 20 minute walk down narrow, twisty, icy roads. You can get the bus but unlike French resorts where you can jump on buses free of charge and they run regularly, the buses in Cervinia are maybe 1 an hour and you will pay €1 for the pleasure. That is clearly not expensive but on top of a £250 lift pass it seems a bit unneccessary. Also you have to pay the driver as you get on so you can imagine 50 people with shopping or skis pushing and shoving to get on a bus takes a fair bit of time!! The other issue is that although you can ski door to door, the lift at Cielo Alto doesn't link to the main lift system in Cervinia. So in the morning you can ski down to Cervinia but you will have to stop, take skis off and walk a fair distance to get to a lift. It's all fine from there but not the perfect start to your day. All in all I would thoroughly recommend Cervinia. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants in the main town but I would encourage staying in accomodation in the main town to avoid annoying trips up and down in the morning and the evening.

Sober en goed gelegen

Sober doch goed verblijf voor 8 personen. Ruim voldoende inventaris. 10 personen was wat krap, maar te doen. Volledig inpandig appartement met alleen ramen aan de voorgevel gevel waar 2 slaapkamers gesitueerd zijn. Waardoor ventilatie met name 's nachts wat beperkt in de rest van het appartement buiten deze twee slaapkamers.. Gastheer prettig in de omgang. Spreekt goed Engels. Bakker direct buiten de deur. Prima week vakantie gehad.

Ottimo soggiorno, Roberto è disponibile e presente quando serve. L’appartamento si trova in una posizione ottima per chi scia, sci ai piedi si giunge a un centinaio di metri dalla salita per Plain Mason. Per il ritorno invece ancora meglio, sci ai piedi si giunge davanti al portone dell’appartamento scendendo dalle piste. L’alloggio è ben fornito. Ottimo per 8 persone, sufficiente per 10 persone ma se si è in 12 ci si sta un po’ a fatica secondo me. Consigliato anche per la presenza a pochi metri di noleggio attrezzature, acquisto skipass, una bar/pub e anche una lavanderia. Noi eravamo in 8 e ne siamo rimasti soddisfatti. Altro punto a favore di Roberto, è anche maestro di sci.

Roberto was very helpful and great to work with, he answers very quick and gives relevant information. The standard of the apartment was as expected except for lack of dishwasher. The beds are not the newest ones and the cleaning had missed some spots. Except for that we where very pleased. The apartment is really close to the ski lift and you have your own home slope. The area was very quiet when we were there during Easter. The apparent works well for two families that can live together in a smaller space. The apartment is three stars and Roberto five.

We were 9 adult friends living in the apartment. The best part about the apartment is that it is located right beside the piste. In the morning you have to ski down to the central lift (the easiest way is in the middle of the way down to ski through the wood (there is the pass)) - if you ski all the way down, than you have to walk upwards ~100m. Right beside the apartment/piste is a very nice bar (and restaurant) with colorful owners, ski rental (can also buy ski pases) and a little market (cheaper/bigger option is in the centre of the city). There isn't much to do in the centre of the Cervinia, but if you want to go down it takes about 10-15 minutes. Coming back is a little bit harder because the road is quite steep but if you are in Ok condition it's pretty easy. The last ski bus from town comes back at 20:30. The apartment is well suited for 8 people (2 rooms with double beds and 1 room with 4 bunkbeds). There are 2 sofa beds in the living room but if you sleep there then it's quite noisy if someone goes to the bathroom at night. The kitchen is very well equiped minus the dishwasher (maybe a little bit outdated). There are 2 bathrooms (one with the shower, one with the bathtub) and a big room for your ski equipment. If your main focus is on the skiing then this apartment (price/performance) is just for you because all the little things outside the mountain isn't important. We had a good time and the pistes were excelent.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene da Roberto. La casa è spaziosa e dal vivo è addirittura meglio che nelle foto di presentazione. I letti sono tutti abbastanza comodi e ci sono coperte in abbondanza. Per i più freddolosi il riscaldamento funziona molto bene, e ogni termo è dotato di valvola per regolare la temperatura. Il padrone di casa è molto gentile e disponibile, sia per quanto riguarda l'appartamento sia in quanto maestro di sci. La posizione della casa è comodissima. Nei 50 metri oltre la porta di ingresso si trovano un alimentari, il noleggio sci, un bar ristorante e la seggiovia che conduce sulle piste. Consigliatissimo.

A great apartment for a big group

Roberto was a great host and the apartment had everything a group of 8 needed. The kitchen was well equiped and the dining table was big and inviting. The two master bedrooms where a little cold, but nothing a extra blanket couldnt handle. A good apartment that had everything you needed and ski in ski out. Walking down to the village took 10 minutes while up took 15. Busses ran if you had stuff to carry

Perfect "Ski In / Ski Out" location

We fitted really nicely to the apartment with 7 adults and there was all the needed things available (extra plus for the numerous power outlets!). From slopes, the location is perfect, you can actually get couple meters with skis from the front door. The nearby market is quite expensive and I would prefer town's Crai. Then the couple bars/restaurants were okay and especially white base camp was nice. Owner was awesome, got all the help and responds really quickly. If going for some dinner / night life to town, it's not totally impossible thing to hike Back to the apartment. But after a long ski day, it's definitely tough (verticals something like 100m). Last bus leaves from town 20.30 which was the easiest or other thing was own car. Somehow we didn't find easily taxis.

Great Location for Ski and Friendly Owner

Roberto was great at communicating with us before and during our stay. The apartment was comfortable and had plenty of room for the 7 of us (family with grown up children/boyfriends). It was right next door to ski hire shop/lift purchase and chairlift with great runs nearby (they are marked black, but not too challenging so ok for first thing in the morning). We could also ski back at the end of the day. It was a little walk down to the supermarket in the village, but you can get a bus back and there is a small shop for essentials just outside the apartment door too, a bit expensive but very convenient). Roberto was great at helping us, friends staying nearby had some lessons with him which they found good and he was also a great help on our last evening helping us find a way back home when Ryanair cancelled our flights back with less than 24 hours notice! I would definitely recommend.

Ottima soluzione soprattutto per gruppi di amici

Eravamo un gruppo di amici in vacanza a Cervinia per una settimana ad Agosto. L'appartamento è molto grande, comodo, con due belle stanza matrimoniali più un'ulteriore stanza con 3 letti a castello. Pratica e funzionale la cucina nonché i due bagni. La posizione non è vicinissima al centro del paese, noi ci siamo sempre arrivati in macchina ma comunque è fattibile anche a piedi. Comodissimo il fatto di avere a pochi passi un mini-market e un bar-ristorante. In particolare vorrei sottolineare la gentilezza e la grande disponibilità del proprietario, Sig. Roberto, il quale è sempre stato premuroso per qualsiasi nostra richiesta. Lo consiglio sicuramente, per gruppi di amici e famiglie, specie di inverno per chi vuole sciare in quanto il proprietario è anche un ottimo maestro di sci.

Great ski place

The flat is comfortable, quite, with all the necessary amenities and it is as show on the web site. It is a quite building, with a food market, ski-rental and free car parking. Cervinia village is at 1km, we use the car to go there after a day of ski. The house proprietary is also a ski instructor, we have took some skiing lessons. He is a professional teacher!

Great solution for family and group

We spent a beautifull vacation in this place the flat is very confortable, with all features, also it's very close to sky slopes . I suggest to everybody to rent it. Plus, the owner is very nice and he helped us to find a resturant and he is available for any request.

I stayed with friends at Roberto's and I can witness the apartment is very confortable and close to the main facilities (sky fields, Cervinia center,...). The house is well equipped of all furnitures needed. I reccomend this apartment to group of friend as well as to a family!

excellent choice for a group of friends

This flat gave us the opportunity to stay together and spend our free time in a comfortable and wide living room. We love skiing and we didn’t use our cars at all for one week, so for us it was a great location! From this apartment we could take ski run just in front of the door! There is a minimarket, a ski rent where you can also buy a day pass, a restaurant and a self-service restaurant very close by, just 100 meters. There is also a flat field in front of us where we could get some sunshine while our children played together. No noise issue, very quiet at night. Cervinia’s center is about a 15 minutes walk from this apartment, so when we went there we had some good walks, after all we went to the mountains! The furniture was simple but we found all the things that we needed. Roberto’s apartment was next to this one, so he was very helpful and always available. He was very polite and a warm-hearted host. He was also a Ski Instructor and in a few afternoons our children reached a good level and enjoyed his ski lessons very much. We have reserved his lesson before arriving, so we didn’t have any trouble and it was good value. We had a wonderful vacation in Cervinia! We hope to see and stay in Roberto’s apartment again soon. Truly recommend to everyone!!

semplice ma pulita e comoda

Ottima per un weekend tra amici: ha 8-12 posti letto ed è proprio ai piedi delle piste. Sicuramente non elegante o panoramica, ma molto pulita e comoda, con tutti i letti e i due bagni ben attrezzati e minimarket e noleggio sci a pochi passi di distanza. Giusto rapporto qualità prezzo, proprietario disponibile.

Well planned apartment, great skiing!

Though the apartment is located approx. 1 km (uphill) from the village center it is easy accessed either by foot or by local bus. The bus is stops 25 m from the apartment. Slope nr 16 runs just beside the apartment iow - ski in ski out! In the same building there´s a bar/restaurant, food market and a sportshop with skirental. The apartment on groundfloor is perfect for just about anyone, but great for families with children. Lots of space/beds, skiroom, two toilets and foremost a great landlord with a magnificent feel regarding perfect service. When you add the fantastic ski area this can´t go wrong. In all; I can only strongly recommend this apartment and Breuil Cervinia!

Appartamento spazioso e comodissimo per sciare

Con un gruppo di amici abbiamo scelto Cervinia per una settimana di sci. Il comprensorio è fantastico. Tanta neve e un sacco di piste. L'appartamento è luminoso e comodissimo per gli sciatori come noi. Si parte e si torna a casa con gli sci, che si calzano davanti a casa, senza usare l'auto. In 8 persone gli spazi sono ottimali. Quando ci ha raggiunto una coppia di amici, abbiamo utilizzato anche il divano letto del soggiorno, che pur non comodissimo, ha fatto il suo dovere. Il proprietario è molto disponibile.

Appartamento semplice al giusto prezzo

L'appartamento è abbastanza spazioso e comodo per un massimo di 9 persone come mi aveva già detto preventivamente il padrone di casa via mail, anche se si può stare anche in 11. Noi siamo stati max 9 persone per 3 giorni e non ci sono stati problemi, il tavolo da pranzo è grande. I primi 4 giorni eravamo 7 persone e si stava molto comodi. Per il resto l'appartamento è semplice e va benissimo per chi non ha particolari pretese di lusso, il bagno è spazioso e c'è un ripostiglio che fa da dispenza e rimessa sci. L'appartamento rimane un pò fuori da cervinia (circa 1km di salita) ma sulla strada che porta anche alla cabinovia principale (quella che porta a Plain Maison e poi Plateau Rosa), c'è anche una piccola seggiovia che parte a due passi dall'appartamento. Il padrone di casa abita nell'appartamento accanto è una persona simpatica e molte disponibile, ci ha consigliato più volte delle passeggiate da fare inoltre è un maestro di sci quindi vi saprà dire anche di più sulle piste! Per quanto mi riguarda il soggiorno è andato molto bene!
