Perfect place close to Almograve beach

It’s the second time we stayed in this house and hope to be back soon. The house has all needed facilities to a comfortable stay, and we use the barbeque to prepare grilled meat and fish meals. The house is close to several mini-markets which is very convenient. There are also a couple of very good restaurants within walking distance. We hope to come back soon.

Ideal holiday home

We couldn't have found a better place for our holiday in Alentejo. Spacious, tastefully decorated, with good Wi-Fi and everything needed in the kitchen as well as inviting patio gardens in front and at the back of the house. The house is close to beautiful Almograve beach and many other beaches can be reached easily. The sundown behind the windmill opposite the house is always a pleasure to watch, too. Highly commended!

Pleasant week in Longueira

Excellent property, just as described. It's 5-10 minutes by car to the beach in Almograve and ~15 minutes to Vilanova de Milfontes. There is not much around it, although the restaurants are quite good. The property was delivered clean, and the kitchen is excellently equipped with everything you might need during a holiday week. The gardens (front and back) are very pleasant.

Es war wunderschön. Der Strand in Almograve ist wunderschön, familienfreundlich und sehr vielseitig. Man kann dort sehr viel machen. Die Beschreibungen und guten Bewertungen der anderen Personen können wir nur bestätigen. Zudem war direkt in der Nähe der Wohnung ein toller Fußball-Bolzplatz.

Nettes Ferienhaus für einen Strandaufenthalt an der Küste

Das Häuschen ist voll ausgestattet - mit allem was man für eine Selbstversorgung benötigt. Sehr nette und hilfreiche Gastgeber. Mit dem Auto 5min zum Strand zu Fuß zu weit.Kleine Terrasse ebenerdig nach Osten.

Sehr schönes Haus

Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön und gepflegt, mit interessanten Bildern und extrem gut mit allem ausgestattet, soviel Geschirr, Besteck, Töpfe etc. haben wir nicht mal zuhause. Sehr angenehm waren die zwei Badezimmer, also zwei Duschen im Haus. Hervorheben möchten wir auch den hinteren Garten, eigentlich mehr eine Terrasse. Zu unserem Besuch haben dort etliche Gewächse gerade wunderschön geblüht und unter dem riesigen Sonnenschirm konnte man dort prima frühstücken oder mal nur Kaffee trinken. Almograve ist touristisch noch nicht so vollgebaut wie Porto Covo weiter nördlich. Dort ist es uns inzwischen leider zu voll. Irgendwann wird das hier wohl leider genauso sein. Schade. Aber wenn wir nochmal hierher kommen, würden wir das Haus wieder buchen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Schönes Häuschen mit persönlicher Note

Wir wurden von der Besitzerin Francine persönlich sehr freundlich empfangen. Sie war jederzeit telefonisch und per Mail erreichbar. Das Haus ist sehr persönlich und daher sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, die Küche so umfangreich ausgestattet wie sonst kaum in Ferienunterkünften üblich. Die Lage ist im Dorfzentrum, was uns gut gefallen hat, da man so nicht das Gefühl hat, nur von Touristen umgeben zu sein. Ein Mietwagen ist ideal, da sich so die umliegenden Städtchen gut erkunden lassen und man auch schnell am schönen Strand in Almograve ist. Also: Top-Adresse!!!

Maison très agréable a vivre, confortable et soignée, personnalisée au gout de Francine qui la met à disposition des hôtes quand elle ne l'habite pas. Cela confert à la maison une identité original, bien differente des clichés des revues de déco. Un endroit chéri et partagé qui émane des sensations positives. Le village non plus n'est pas banal

A estadia correu bem, as áreas da casa são boas, tem todo o equipamento necessário, não falta nada! A rever apenas a grade que fecha as escadas na subida (importante para quem tem crianças até aos 4 anos) pois está em falta e a limpeza por baixo das camas e sofás (pó acumulado)

Habitação e estadia agradável

Foi a segunda vez que aqui ficámos alojados e uma vez mais tivemos uma agradável e tranquila semana de férias. A habitação encontrava-se higienizada e cuidada, equipada o suficiente para as necessidades diárias de uma família. A comunicação e receção foram bastante eficazes.

A estada foi boa. a casa tinha boas condições, embora tenhamos tido pequenos percalços que revolucionámos facilmente. A proprietária embora à distância, foi sempre bastante acessível e prestável, assim como os senhores que estavam responsáveis pelo acolhimento. A localização é boa, as praias são boas e calmas, contudo, são um pouco distancias. Talvez devido à pandemia encontramos poucos restaurantes abertos ou perto da zona. De uma forma geral, foi uma boa estadia. Recomendo :)

A casa tem tudo o que é necessário para descansar e relaxar, aproveitando no Verão as praias da zona. É no entanto necessário carro para ter acesso às praias e superfícies comerciais.

I am Canadian and I live in Portugal for several months each year. Semi-retired museologist and business executive, I now do translation and writing. My partner has a farm - a monte |- in Alentejo and we share our time between the farm and the coastal house. My children and grand children also enjoy the house and we all love Alentejo: natural parks, forests, hills, villages and for sure the sea and the seashore.

Why they chose this property

My house is situated in a traditional Alentejo village, only two kilometres from the ocean, with easy access to the most beautiful beaches of the Altantic Coast. I choose this location because the house is on a plaza, in front of an heritage windmill. The view is open to the fields and the dunes. Behind the house is a view of the mountains toward the interior of the country. The house is decorated with original artworks of a painter who once lived there.

Village people are sympathetic and if one wish to rest, one can find everything in the village without driving anywhere: cafes, small grocery stores, excellent restaurants, etc. For more action, in less than 15 minutes, you are in Vila Nova de Milfontes, a summer resort town featuring, boutiques, restaurants, night life and also many beautiful beaches, or Odemira, a white small city in the hills.
From the house, you can access the Rota Vicentina within minutes, a walking trail of several hundreds of kilometres along the sea.
Weather is great: warm and comfortable, never too hot thanks to the wind from the sea. NIghts are cooler and comfortable.
In short, this is our little paradise!
