Great find in Trapani

8 of us stayed in 2 of Lucia's apartments. One had a very large rooftop where we were all able to hang out together. It was a very convenient location to walk anywhere we needed to go. Lucia was an excellent and charming host!

"This is a small flat cen...

"This is a small flat centrally located in the beautiful old town of Trapani. The port, bus and ferry transport, and shops and restaurants are all very close although the neighbourhood is very quiet. The flat is well equipped, and the lovely large terrace that opens off the kitchen and is not overlooked acts as an extra room. The owners live in the building and are vivacious, friendly and very helpful."

Great apartment in downtown Trapini

Lovely apartment in perfect position to old town with beautful baroque architecture and churches. lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Near to port for ferries to the islands. Couple of supermarkets very near with all you need. Lovely terrace so sitting room not needed as this was commented on in other review. Basic kitchen but enough for simple needs and as spoilt for places to eat, it was more than adequate. Lift was a godsend for us as many stairs. Comy beds. All in all a great apartment and very good value for money. Trapini is a great place to stay, our second visit. Very friendly. Above all Lucia was a very kind hostess and couldn't have been more helpful, many, many thanks Lucia Teresa and Chris

Helt igennem meget hjÊlpsom og service minded vÊrtinde, hjÊlp til alverdens praktiske ting, sÄsom at fÄ lejligheden kl. 10, forslag til gode restauranter, bookning af bord, bestilling af Taxa til hjemturen. Fin lejlighed og tagterrasse, lige som vi havde forestillet os!

Appartement idéalement situé

Appartement trÚs propre au dernier étage d'une maison avec ascenseur, avec deux chambres confortables (un lit d'appoint pour le 5Úme lit qui convient pour un enfant). Pour l'une des chambres, l'entrée donne sur la terrasse, on doit donc sortir (un pas) pour y accéder ; cette chambre a sa propre salle d'eau attenante. Deux salles d 'eau récentes (eau chaude capricieuse). Dans le couloir d'entrée sont disposés deux gros fauteuils et une petite table. La kitchenette est équipée, bien lumineuse car donne sur la terrasse. En revanche, et c'est le gros point négatif, il n'y a pas de salle à manger ni de vrai salon. La surface annoncée 70 m2 comprend probablement la terrasse. Les repas doivent se faire obligatoirement sur la grande terrasse, agréable mais avec vue sur les immeubles à proximité. En cas de pluie, on se réfugie sous le store aménagé sur cette terrasse, qui peut abriter table et chaises. La wifi fonctionne sans aucun problÚme. Les propriétaires sont charmants, habitent sur place ; Lucia nous a donné de nombreux renseignements sur le site, et elle se débrouille bien en français. Le linge de maison est fourni. L'appartement est idéalement situé dans le vieux Trapani, à proximité immédiate des commerces et restaurants, entre port et plage.

The Pesco with Large Terrace

We were 2 couples staying in this apartment. It's in a fantastic part of Trapani where we could see part of the Easter procession and the towns people out recovering after the procession, a great slice of Sicilian life. The two bars in the street were great fun and we got to know a few of the locals who were very friendly. Lucia and Sem were excellent hosts , friendly and helpful. There is an even more spacious apartment they rent out downstairs which would be great for 2 couples or a family but ours, though smaller had 2 bathroooms and the huge terrace/rooftop which was good to hangout on when it was sunny.

Very central, the terrace...

Very central, the terrace is wonderful, there is air conditioned in the bedroom and everything you need to enjoy your stay. It misses a good sized living room (but Trapani is so beautiful that there is no need to spend time in a living room). The ferry to the islands and the bus stop to the airport are very close (just behind the corner)and the owners are very nice

The spotless and very qui...

The spotless and very quiet apartment is perfectly situated within the old town just a few minutes walk to the restaurants, bars bus's and even the boats which will take you to the amazing Egadi Islands. The food is so good in Trapani, really I would recommend you eat out constantly even though there is a wonderfully large roof terrace directly off the kitchen. The apartment is compact with barely a sitting room not that we felt that was important as you spend most of your day out. However the bed is very much on the firm side, depends on your taste.. and the shower a little small and slightly temperamental, but overall, value for money its good. Lucia and Sem are both charming and very helpful.

Tout petit appartement si...

Tout petit appartement situĂ© sur les toits, Ă  deux pas du centre historique et du port. La surface habitable annoncĂ©e sur le site (70m2) comprend donc Ă©galement la terrasse (le logement doit faire tout au plus 30-35m2). Y penser en cas de pluie ou de mauvais temps ! Le corridor sert de salon. S’y dĂ©gageait lors de notre sĂ©jour une odeur d’humiditĂ© ou de canalisations qui nous a incommodĂ©s. Il dispose d’un cĂąble avec une connexion internet (le wifi, en revanche, ne marche quasi pas, Ă  moins d’aller dans les escaliers qui mĂšnent Ă  l’appartement des propriĂ©taires). Dans la chambre Ă  coucher, le lit est plutĂŽt confortable et les nuits ont Ă©tĂ© trĂšs calmes. La cuisine est petite. Pas d’eau chaude Ă  moins de faire couler l’eau dans la salle de bain !!! La salle de bain ne dispose pas de porte mais d’un rideau. L’eau chaude y fonctionne par contre parfaitement. La terrasse est grande et donne sur les bĂątiments modernes environnants. Il n’y a donc pas de vue. Par contre, elle est trĂšs bien dĂ©corĂ©e de plantes. Dommage qu’il n’y ait plus ni parasol, ni chaises-longues alors qu’elles sont annoncĂ©es sur le site.

"Excellent central locati...

"Excellent central location, enjoyed walking out of the apartment in the mornings and joining the locals in their early morning shopping. Very well placed for our nearby language school, for downtown restaurants and the port. It was very hot when we were there (36 degrees C or so) and too hot to make much use of the terrace - although perhaps we might have sat out more in the evening had there been some comfortable chairs outside. We used the air conditioning in the bedroom almost all the time. We had to park on the street, which was ok as we rented a Smart car. If we''d had a large family car it might have been more difficult! But all in all, a very handy place to stay and Lucia and Sem were totally helpful when required."

"Wir haben im Juni 2 wund...

"Wir haben im Juni 2 wunderbare Wochen in Trapani verbracht. Die Lage des Appartements im Zentrum der Altstadt ist fĂŒr die abendlichen SpaziergĂ€nge in der schönen und lebendigen FussgĂ€ngerzone ganz optimal. Vor dem Haus findet man fast immer einen Parkplatz. Der Lift ist wirklich sehr langsam, sodass man den Weg in den 4. Stock lieber zu Fuss geht. Das Appartement ist einfach ausgestattet aber sauber, das Bett ist spitze, das Wohnzimmer ist sehr klein. Die KĂŒche ist gut ausgestattet und die Terrasse ist wunderbar. Da stört es auch nicht, wenn man keinen direkten Blick zum Meer hat. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sollten wir wieder nach Trapani kommen wĂŒrden wir gerne wieder in diesem Appartement wohnen."

"This accommodation was p...

"This accommodation was perfect for our requirements - we wanted an apartment that was in the historical part of the town and close to everything we wanted to see, had outside space, was clean, quiet with all amenities. And this apartment certainly delivered on all aspects! We enjoyed it so much that we went back within the month and chose the very same place to stay! Sem and Lucia, the owners, couldn't do enough to help. They pick you up from the airport which is important - at least the first time as always difficult to orientate yourself on arrival. Our favourite bit was the terrace and even though we went in November and December - we spent most of our time out there as the weather was excellent and we loved it so much. The kitchen opens out on to it and cooked and then ate on the terrace every chance we had. It is quiet, high and not overlooked. Lucia collects cactus plants and there are numerous pots and varieties not to mention herbs which came in handy when cooking! Whatever questions we had they were always on hand to help (they live in the same building) and were completely friendly and welcoming. Our second trip was even better and they had lent us a DVD player so we didn't have to carry extra stuff! The point is if you want something that is corporate and slick - then this isn't the place for you. If you want something that is home from home and charming - then look no further. I would say the only issue we could see for potential visitors is that it is on the top (4th) floor (hence the terrace) but a bit of a climb – maybe a bit challenging for those who find stairs difficult. Although it is worth mentioning that there is a lift but it is very slow one. Other than that - we are going back again and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. We would and have recommended to our friends to visit both Trapani and the apartment - plus for us it would be great to see Sem and Lucia again - they were very generous hosts rather than landlords. Enjoy!".

"Logement situé en plein centre historique de Trapani, à proximité du port, des restaurants etc.. Logement trÚs propre, cuisine toute neuve et bien équipée, lit confortable, salon trÚs petit comme annoncé mais compensé par une belle et grande terrasse! Seul petit bémol: la douche! (peu d''eau chaude et peu pratique à utiliser..quelques travaux d''amélioration seraient les bienvenus). Propriétaires sympatiques habitant dans l''immeuble."

"Location and terasse bot...

"Location and terasse both gets 'five plus'. Situated in the old Arab-like part of the city you can easily reach all historical, cultural and touristique places of interest. The big roof terasse is a great living room surrounded by more than 50 plants. A nice bedroom, a fine bathroom and a charming kitchen integrated in the terasse all deserves 'high five' - so we don't need to mention the very small living room. In Via Mercé we rented bikes (good price) for beautiful trips to Saline and Bonigfana and with breathtaking views downhill from Eriche (Cable-car up). Not to forget our very nice hosts Lucia and Sem."
