Perfect way to visit the region. Franco and his family are great hosts and offer a great accommodation along with fantastic restaurant. He can also help you set up tours while there
We had a nice stay! The hosts were friendly and available to answer our questions. The view is incredible! We loved eating at their restaurant below us. It is a very tight winding road to get there. It is best to use a small car.
Unfortunately it rained but the view relaxed us - we had everything we needed - two restaurants, one had some groceries and was so accommodating - the people in the area drove us to the bus stop when it was discovered that the fall schedule had changed. Ver lovely experience.

Thank a lot to coming in our house i hope you appreciate our assistance to bring you to the aiport at 3.00 in morning thank you
Franco and Marzia
Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely 3rd floor view. Very quiet and clean. The pizza restaurant downstairs is wonderful and the service helpful. I would like to come back again.
The apartment was perfect, the view giving onto the sea & the sunsets were breathtaking.Franco/wife & family took care of us & made us feel welcomed, at ease & safe .. from their recommendations/suggestions for boat tours to the Amalfi coast, Capri & Positano. (5min ride away to the boats) … to their little restaurant with excellent homemade food and coffee shop.We were very thankful for the pool during this heat wave!! I would suggest to put fans in the bedrooms (we did not ask). I would definitely return. Thank you
Franco and his family are both friendly and hard-working and truly have a great family run restaurant and a holiday rental business in a location on the Sorrento coast with simply stunning views of the Bay of Naples. We were there only for 3 nights but enjoyed ourselves immensely with a pizza making lesson and a tour of Capri which Franco helped us book. There was even a local festival which we enjoyed with music and fireworks. Everything was clean and comfortable. Water pressure for the shower could be improved but that was just a minor issue. A unique experience in a lovely setting! Thanks for having us!
This rental is a hidden gem. If you want a little bit of quiet but also be close to excursions in Sorrento this place is for you. The people in this town (Schiazzano) are very helpful and friendly. We stayed 6 nights and by the time we left we felt like family. Not only does the owner have his rental property but also has a restaurant and little store right next to the rental property. It has everything you need. The owner also helped us book some wonderful tours. Highly recommend the cheese, wine and limoncello tour. We are definitely going to stay there again. Grazie to Franco, Elsa, Salvatore, Dario and the rest of the extended family for making our stay an unforgettable one.
We absolutely loved this apartment with its stunning sea view and spacious layout. The balcony was a perfect spot to relax and take it all in. Although the pool is shared, we had it entirely to ourselves during our stay—it felt like a private oasis. The location is super convenient, with a restaurant, café, and grocery store right on site. The local bus stops in the town square for trips into Sorrento, though it runs on a limited schedule, so plan ahead.Definitely wait to book any boat trips or excursions until you arrive—Francesco will get you a better price, and pickup is available right in Schiazzano. (Just a heads up: Sorrento taxi drivers aren’t thrilled about the drive into the mountains. They’ll do it, but expect to pay around 100—and maybe get an eye roll. )We also highly recommend the Il Turuziello food and farm tour, which meets right at the café in front of the apartment. You can book that with Francesco too.Overall, a fantastic stay—we’d absolutely recommend it!
The views from the property were amazing! Although the property is not located in the main town, the hosts arranged easy transportation to wherever needed and being a bit out of town was relaxing and peaceful. It immersed you in the culture of daily life in Italy. The weather was not the best to be at the beach, so having the pool was nice. The property was roomy and clean.
The owners restaurant downstairs was amazing! So good that food tours from Sorento stop there. Some of the best food from the entire trip, spanning 3 countries!
Franco, the owner, was AMAZING!!!! His hospitality and friendliness went above and beyond. This was the last stop on a college graduation trip for my son and his friend. It was nice for them to have a father figure take care of them. He made sure they were occupied and well fed at all times. He taught them to make pizza. He treated them like family. He even got them to Naples for their early flight back home. THANK YOU, Franco!!!!
The property was great and was exactly as listed! Marzia and her daughter Elsa were a big help in getting transportation for us and helping us navigate/plan things to do in the area. Not to mention, the food from their restaurant was fantastic!

The guest Was amazing very warm they test our food in our restaurant ,they enjoy the pool we arrangi exursion to visit Capri by boat ..
at L'Antico Scantinato there is a special life in the real italien way. It's a kind of la dolce vite of south Italy. With a beautiful view of the gulf of naples from dusk till dawn. It's a dream to see the sun drowning in the sea with smell of traditional itlien food in the nose. Francesco and his familiy are very nice and it is a adventure to see the action of how is making a pizza from the wood to the fire and the final pizza.
Thank you very much Francesco and his family.
