Umbrië op z'n best.

Na een kleine zoektocht uitgekomen op deze prachtige locatie. Een heerlijk huis wat van alle gemakken voorzien is op een mooi landgoed tussen de olijf- en fruitbomen. Je komt hier heerlijk tot rust en kan verkoeling zoeken in het (kleine) zwembad. Gezellige stadjes en diverse buitenactiviteiten in de omgeving op een klein uurtje rijden. Einer der schönsten Urlaube den wir hatten. / one of the best vacations we have ever had

Ein wunderabares uriges Ferienhaus in traumhafter Lage. Wer Italien fernab vom Massentourismus erleben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Das Grundstück ist sehr weitläufig und einfach nur traumhaft schön angelegt und gepflegt. Der Pool bietet eine schöne abkühlung an heißen Nachmittagen. Die Gastfamilie ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Verständigung war absolut kein Problem obwohl wir kein Italienisch sprechen. Auch Tiere sind hier absolut willkommen, unser Hund hatte auch eine sehr schöne Zeit hier. Wir werden auf jeden Fall sobald wie möglich wieder kommen um unseren nächsten Urlaub hier zu verbringen. A wonderful rustic holiday home in a fantastic location. If you want to experience Italy far away from mass tourism, this is the right place for you. The property is very spacious and just beautifully laid out and maintained. The pool offers a nice cooling off on hot afternoons. The host family is very nice and accommodating. Also animals are absolutely welcome here, our dog also had a very good time here. We will definitely come back as soon as possible to spend our next vacation here.

Geweldig mooie plek voor wie van rust, ruimte en natuur houdt.

Wat een schitterende omgeving! Wie van rust en natuur houdt zit hier goed. Heerlijk uitzicht, schitterende zonsondergang elke dag weer, de zwaluwtjes vliegen de hele dag over de boerderij en ‘s avonds worden deze vervangen door vleermuisjes. De krekels doen de hele dag hun ding en de wandele takken lopen door het gras. De honden van de boerderij zijn erg lief en rustig. Dochterlief heeft de zorg van 2 katten op zich genomen welke dagelijks voor ons huisje stonden. Houdt wel rekening met reistijd als je ergens naartoe wilt. Voor ons geen straf met de geweldige omgeving die Umbrië biedt. De eigenaren Paola en Laura hebben er alles aan gedaan om het zo comfortabel mogelijk te maken voor ons. Zo mocht onze dochter mee op de trekker om een tafel voor pingpong en een tafelvoetbal op te halen. Ze werd er ook bijgeroepen om baby zwaluwtjes te bekijken in een van de zwaluwnestjes in de boerderij. Zij hebben ons verrast met een heerlijk flesje wijn van de boerderij en een bord voor tomaatjes, aardbeien en courgette welke Laura net had geplukt. Ze hebben veel tips voor de omgeving, van toeristische trekpleisters tot de lokale feestjes. Genoeg ruimte voor jezelf en het zwembad was prima voor ons. Al met al een geweldige ervaring In een schitterende omgeving met lieve en behulpzame mensen. Paola end Laura, thank you very much for the great experience at your property. Urlaub zum Genießen

Das Objekt, war wie beschrieben sehr gut. Aber der absolute Hammer waren die Vermieter, freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar. Auch für unsere Kinder, die wirklich kaum Englisch sprechen und schon gar kein Italienisch. Wir waren bereits am ersten Abend mit dem Vermieter im benachbarten Dorf zum sehr familiären Pizzaessen - einfach Perfekt. Auf jeden Fall werden wir wieder kommen und möchten uns auch auf diesem Wege nochmals bei Laura und Paolo bedanken Mille Grazie

landschaftlich schön, hatten aber höhere Erwartungen

Die Anlage ist schön gestaltet, das von uns gemietete Häuschen hat eine überschaubare Größe. Leider waren für uns die Sitzgelegenheiten nicht ausreichend bequem, auf dem Sofa war es für drei Personen doch sehr eng. Es war alles sehr sauber und ordentlich, Geschirr und Besteck in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Schüsseln und mehr Stauraum in der Küche wären schön. Die Kleiderschränke konnten wir nicht nutzen, es gab kaum Kleiderbügel und nur wenig Ablagefächer. Die alten, schönen Türbeschläge sind furchtbar laut, auf Hundegebell muss man sich einstellen. Der Pool ist zum Abkühlen hervorragend geeignet, die Liegen und Stühle in der Gartenanlage sind allerdings ohne Auflagen auf Dauer unbequem. Wenn man weit ab von viel Tourismus Urlaub machen möchte, ist man hier richtig. Der Hauswein ist sehr zu empfehlen. Als Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge gut gelegen, man kommt schnell nach Rom, Orvieto, Terni oder dem Bolsenasee. Auf ein Auto ist man angewiesen, was uns völlig klar war und keinen Mangel darstellt.

Fantastic peaceful place

We enjoyed two weeks at Podoro dell’ Olmo and it suited our needs for a relaxing vacation. You need a car to get to this place but on the other hand it makes it alot easier to explore the surroundings and shop for food or go to restaurants. We visit Rome one day (about one hour away) and we also went to Orvieto and Lake Trasimeno some of the other days. This place is perfect if you want to relax and enjoy nature/countryside and the nearby small villages. We loved it! /Monica & Niklas Sweden

Nous avons été reçu par un Monsieur qui est parti dès le mardi et nous nous sommes retrouvés seuls pendant 12 jours ????????? A la fin de notre séjour nous avons vu un autre Monsieur très sympathique nous a remis la caution. Autrement en ce qui concerne l'hébergement tout est OK le cadre est magnifique malheureusement nous nous sommes retrouvés seuls au milieu de la campagne.

Un angolo di Paradiso

Abbiamo passato un mese stupendo ospiti di questa bellissima struttura. Laura e Paolo sono ospiti cortesi, disponibili e molto simpatici! Il Podere è circondato da una bella campagna e da un bosco. Nella tenuta si trova un orto con dei pomodori deliziosi (!), una vigna (chiedete ai proprietari di farvi assaggiare il loro vino!) e un simpatico stagno con le anatre. Amache, una piccola piscina, un calcetto, un canestro da basket e ben due barbecue completano il quadro. I miei suoceri hanno occupato la Porcilaia: attrezzata, comoda e arredata con gusto. Noi siamo stati nella Casa di Ida, più grande ma ugualmente confortevole, grazie soprattutto alla veranda spaziosa con il dondolo. Consiglio vivamente questo posto. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Torneremo!

Posizione panoramica, molto tranquilla

Podere in posizione panoramica con vista sulla valle del Tevere. Ideale per una vacanza rilassante. Ambiente curato, piccola piscina, ampi spazi esterni. Un grazie a Laura e Paolo per la loro cordiale ospitalita'. Ci torneremo! Wir haben eine wunderschoene Woche im Ferienhaeuschen 'La Porcilaia' verbracht. Gepflegtes Anwesen in einer landschaftlich sehr reizvollen Gegend. Ideal zum Auspannen, geeignet fuer Urlaub mit Kindern; Haustiere sind herzlich willkommen. Kleines Schwimmbad, Grillplaetze. Viele Sehenswuerdigkeiten in der Naehe. Ein herzliches Dankeschoen an Laura und Paolo fuer ihre aussergewoehnliche Gastfreunschaft! Wir freuen uns auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen!

Porcilaia in Umbria :-)

Merci à Laura et Paolo, nos hôtes, pour leur disponibilité et leur accueil sympathique. La Porcilaia: un lieu de villégiature très calme et reposant, parfait avec des enfants (piscine, vélos, baby-foot). Les petites et moyennes villes à visiter en Ombrie sont très jolies. Petit bémol: les ustensiles de vaisselle sont à changer (fourchettes surtout) et il manque un égouttoir à vaisselle et des verres à vin.

The best holiday ever

Es war ein ruhiger, erholsamer Urlaub in einer traumhaft schönen abgelegenen naturbelassenen Gegend. Das liebevoll angelegte Anwesen war sehr gepflegt, das Haus mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet, der Pool war klein, reichte zum Erfrischen völlig aus. Sowohl die Eigentümer als auch das Personal waren sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit, offen und familiär. Location très agréable, dans une belle campagne

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette jolie location, propre, bien entretenue et calme située dans un coin de campagne magnifique, très tranquille. Ballades à la journée pour découvrir les alentours : Bomarzo, Orvieto, Caprarola, Lago di Bolsena, Viterbo, et jusqu'à Spoleta et Tarquinia...et accès facile à Rome par le train à la gare d'Orte (à 20' en voiture). Accueil chaleureux, charmant et attentionné de Laura et Paolo.

Een aanrader!

Een mooi gerieflijk huisje in een prachtige omgeving. We werden verwelkomd door lieve mensen die veel tips aanreikten en ons de nodige privacy gunden. Lekkere tomaten en pruimpjes uit eigen tuin en nog veel meer eetbaars. Ook de huiswijn, olijfolie en aromatisch zout waren de moeite waard. We hebben echt genoten van de omgeving, van de rust, van het zwembad dat niet groot was maar wel verkoeling bood, van de lieve honden en de eigenwijze kat. Vanhieruit hebben we heel veel mooie plaatsjes in Umbria en Lazio bezocht: Bomarzo, Carsulae, Ocriculum, Orvieto, Spoleto, Todi, Terni, Narni(a!!), de watervallen van Marmore, het prachtige kerkje van Lugnano in Teverina en nog zoveel meer. Podere dell'Olmo is een aanrader!

Umbria 2012

eine sehr angenehme Gegend, ohne Hektik, relativ wenige Touristen. Die Unterkunft liegt in einem kleinen ehemaligen Bauernhof. Hier wird noch Olivenöl und Rotwein erzeugt. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll und komplett eingerichtet. Der riesige Garten ist sehr gepflegt und kann benutzt werden (z.B. gibt es 2 Grillstellen). Ein kleiner Pool ist vorhanden. Darin kann man sich gut abkühlen, zum Schwimmen ist er zu klein. Sehr freundliche und familiengerechte Atmosphäre. Sehr gut um die Akkus wieder aufzuladen. Zum nächsten Supermarkt sind es ca. 5 km. Es gibt mehrere kleine Städte in der Umgebung, auch Rom kann in ca. 90 min per Bahn erreicht werden. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber, die aber wohl nicht immer vor Ort sind. Der Rotwein ist auch zu empfehlen. Wir waren mit dem eigenen PKW da, was schon ziemlich weit ist. Ein Auto braucht man vor Ort. Der Flughafen Rom-Fiumicino ist ca. 60 - 90 min entfernt. Mit einem Leihwagen von dort erspart man sich die lange Anreise. Unsere Familie wird wieder hinfahren.

"Un posto molto tranquilo, privato, panoramico. Una bella casa, e la gente e molto simpatico. We have enjoyed our stay immensely, in the beautiful Pig House, with all its original features. Shops is Giove and Amelia nearby, beatiful views over the Tiber Valley, and easy access to Rome in Orte train station. Een prachtige plek voor een heerlijk verblijf in Bella Italia. "La casa è spaziosa, confortevole e in zona molto tranquilla. Si possono raggiungere tanti luoghi comodamente. Anche se di giorno fa caldo la sera si rinfresca. Da migliorare alcuni aspetti:la Tv c''è ma non si vede nessun programma (manca il digitale terrestre), trovata un poco di polvere (forse in aperta campagna è molto + facile l''accumulo). Sarebbero utili alcuni appendini in bagno. I proprietari sono simpatici e disponibili. Forniscono anche notizie e depliant su luoghi da visitare, acquisti da fare o dove mangiare."
