House / Villa - Mattinata

Between the green of olive trees and a few steps from the sea is the ideal accommodation for enjoying a holiday a the sea. You can get by staying in the Villetta (autonomous and masonry) "La Coccinella". The villa has two bedrooms, bathroom with shower, living room/kitchen equipped with oven. It’s equipped with TV, air conditioning and a wide veranda with deck-chairs, table and chairs.There is a terrazza from which you can see a beautiful panorama, you can sunbath and in the evening you can lay on deckchairs and look at the stars and moon.
You can use the washing machine and the barbecue in masonry.
La Coccinella may accommodate in each period of the year and is only 5 minutes from the centre of Mattinata and from the port, where you can see stones with footsteps of dinosaurs,and rent a boat or make a boattrip to visit the seacaves and the beautiful coast of the Gargano. With only 20 minutes by car you can visit.San Giovanni Rotondo (Church of San Pio da Pietrelcina); Monte Sant' Angelo with the Sanctuary of San Michele (national monument); Monte Sacro with a grat variet of spontaneous orchids and the ruins of the Benedictine Abbey; Monte Saraceno, that falls to overhanging the sea, with the tombs of the Saracens dug into the rock. In an hour by car you can visit Alberobello with its Trulli and the nearby caves of Castellana. If you do not want to use the car, with a short walk you can go to shopping to buy everything you need (from freshly caught fish to freshly baked bread); or reach a good restaurant where you can taste typical dishes, cakes and ice cream recognized for their kindness and honesty.
PS When your stay is two or three nights ,you do not have to pay on line , but on the check in day and the cost is between €60 according the season per person a night.
The wifi is free, but it is not often avaliable.
The cost for airconditioner is 80€ per week or € 20 per night
The cost for bed linen is 30€ and the cost for the towels is 30€, too.

Schönen Urlaub bei netten Menschen

Ein relaxter Urlaub ein paar Schritte zum Meer und in der Nebensaison wenig Menschen. Drei Tipps Mückenschutz, Liegen sind von Vorteil am öffentlichen Strand und Badeschuhe sind auch nicht verkehrt, kann man aber alles in Manfredonia kaufen. Gargano Centro Comerciale. Wir kommen wieder! Grüße an Pina und Luigi PS: Flatrate schadet auch nicht.

A wonderfull place

La plage est un peu loin, à 5m ;-)! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour! Nous remercions les propriétaires très sympathiques, pour leurs attentions et leurs conseils très pratiques. Les alentours et les plages à proximité sont magnifiques!

Casa fronte spiaggia, proprietari gentilissimi

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa villetta per una settimana. Villetta perfetta per 2 adulti e 2 bambini, pulita, accessoriata, non mancava nulla. Avendo un bel giardino grande si sono diverte anche le nostre 2 cagnoline. Al nostro arrivo ci attendeva signor Luigi con la moglie Pina e ci hanno accolto con un bel piatto di fioroni del suo giardino , il frutto simile ai fichi. 2 persone gentilissime e pronte ad aiutare e dare tanti consigli sui posti da visitare. Il signor Luigi che ci raccontava le storie interessanti del passato dei paesi intorno. Il mare e la spiaggia si trovano praticamente dietro il cancello, scendendo pocchi scalini. Paesi vicini bellissimi da visitare. Consiglio di non farsi perdere la gita nelle grotte marine, santuaruo di San Michele e tante altre cose.

Das Haus liegt in einem gepflegten Olivengarten 150m vom Kieselstrand entfernt. Es ist ganz ruhig, keine störenden Strassen, man hört das Rauschen des Meeres und abends die Zikaden.. Mattinata liegt etwa 10 Minuten entfernt, ein lebendiges Städtchen. Es war für uns der ideale Ferienort. Luigi und Pina waren außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie waren immer ansprechbar. Oftmals stand morgens eine leckere Überraschung für uns auf dem Terrassentisch, meist Typisches aus der Gegend. Diese Gastfreundschaft werden wir immer mit Apulien verbinden.

We had a very enjoyable stay in the apartment owned by Luigi and Pinar. The location is a few minutes walk from the beach and there is a very pretty patio for relaxing. Luigi and Pinar were very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

Petite maison très proche de la plage

Petite location trop juste pour 4adultes la deuxième chambre minuscule.Equipement très juste pas de cafetière , micro ondes , toaster , mais très agréable par sa situation et par l'accueil sympa. Attention climatisation a payer en plus ainsi que le linge (cher) Malgré tout un Super souvenir de cette région.

Bellissima vacanza

La casa si trova davvero a due passi dalla spiaggia libera e poco affollata. L'appartamento, pulitissimo, dispone di tutto il necessario ed i proprietari sono stati sempre disponibili per ogni esigenza o consiglio su luoghi da visitare nei dintorni. Sono stati graditissimi anche i prodotti del loro giardino con cui molto spesso ci hanno deliziato durante il nostro soggiorno. Luigi e Pina sono davvero delle persone splendide e ospitali; ci siamo sentiti come a casa...

Wir würden von unseren Gastgebern sehr freundlich empfangen und betreut und haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Das Haus liegt direkt am Strand, die Lage ist einzigartig. Die Einrichtung ist sehr einfach gehalten, alles hat funktioniert. Wir können nicht einschätzen, wie es in dieser Gegend zur Zeit der Hauptsaison ist, wir jedenfalls haben die Ruhe und die „Einsamkeit“ der Nebensaison sehr genossen und waren jeden Tag im Meer. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr präsent und aufmerksam!

Dieses Ferienhaus ist wärmstens weiter zu empfehlen. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Lage ist wunderbar ruhig und direkt an einem schönen Kiesstrand. Die Vermieter sind äußerst bemüht und hilfsbereit.

THE place to stay in Gargano

Un MUST pour découvrir l'incroyable région du Gargano! La maison est directement située en bord de plage (accès direct à environ 100m du jardin!). Les montagnes environnantes plongent dans l'eau bleu clair: l'ensemble offre un paysage de toute beauté. Le panorama est d'autant plus spectaculaire vu de la terrasse du toit (vue saisissante également la nuit avec les lumières de Mattinata + les étoiles, le tout accompagné du son de vagues...!). L'endroit est propre et particulièrement calme, idéal pour un séjour en toute sérénité. La maison est également très bien située pour explorer les alentours: la "Foresta Umbra" est proche; Monte Sant' Angelo et Vieste ne sont respectivement qu'à environ 20 et 40km. De plus, Luigi et Pina ont été d'une gentillesse et d'une disponibilité rare: ils m'ont même offert des pâtisseries typiques locales, des oranges/citrons de leur jardin, une authentique pizza italienne, et des croissants pour le petit déjeuner!! Je recommande hautement cette location et j'espère revenir ici pour un prochain séjour dans le Gargano! Encore merci et au plaisir de se revoir, Denis -------------------------------------------------------- If you want to explore and enjoy the Gargano region, this is THE place to stay. The house is amazingly located: you have a direct access to the beach (approx 100m). The combination: clear blue of the sea + surrounding mountains makes an amazing view; which can be fully enjoyed from the terrace at the top of the roof (a position also very enjoyable during clear nights with the lights of Mattinata, sounds of the waves and the bright stars!). The place (very clean) is very quiet and you can easily access loads of hiking trails. It is also an ideal base-camp to explore the surroundings: the "Foresta Umbra" is not far away, Monte Sant'Angelo is at approx. 20 km and Vieste at approx. 40km. Last but not least: Luigi and Pina have been amazingly welcoming and friendly: they even offered me delicious typical biscuits/cakes from a local bakery, oranges/lemons from their garden, a true Italian pizza for the evening and croissants for (another!) breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to be back very soon! Thanks again, Denis

Adorable séjour

Merci à Luigi et à Pina qui ont mis à notre disposition cette petite maison en bord de plage. Merci pour les attentions qu'ils ont eu pour nous ( olives, gâteaux, pain ...) Nous avons pu profiter de la mer en toute tranquillité, et de toutes les commodités offertes par la proximité du village. Je conseille vivement cette location .

VACANZA INDIMENTICABILE

Abbiamo trascorso 2 settimane tra Agosto e Settembre. La villetta che abbiamo affittato corrisponde alla descrizione dei proprietari, è molto comoda e dotata del necessario, si trova a pochi metri dallo splendido mare di Mattinata immersa negli ulivi. Luigi e Pina ci hanno accolto in modo meraviglioso. Sono persone gentilissime e molto disponibili che ci hanno consigliato al meglio per scoprire le meraviglie del Gargano e le sue prelibatezze. Non dimenticheremo l'accoglienza al nostro arrivo, i fichi del giardino divorati dai nostri bimbi, l'olio di Luigi accompagnato al pane giallo di Mattinata talmente buoni da mangiarli a colazione, pranzo, merenda e cena ! Consigliamo a tutti di trascorrere la vacanza da Luigi e Pina, una vacanza che rimarrà nel cuore.

Un soggiorno rilassante in riva al mare in Gargano

Situata sulla bella spiaggia di Mattinata, la villetta che abbiamo affittato presentava tutto ciò che potevamo desiderare per una vacanza rilassante in riva al mare. Siamo stati accolti con grande entusiasmo dai padroni di casa, Pina e Luigi, che ringraziamo per la loro squisita cortesia e la disponibilità dimostrate in ogni momento del nostro soggiorno. L'immobile, non grandissimo, era pulito e in buono stato, con un grande patio e un cortile che si affaccia da una parte sull'uliveto e dall'altra sulla spiaggia. Comodo, dotato di aria condizionata (apprezzatissima!), ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Ideale per una famiglia di quattro persone. Grazie Pina e Luigi!

Une très belle semaine!!!

Nous ne pouvons que nous réjouir de la semaine passée chez Pina et Luigi. La maison, d'un confort simple, mitoyenne de celle des propriétaires, entourée d'arbres, est admirablement bien située, permettant un accès direct à la grande plage de Mattinata. Pina et Luigi sont d'une gentillesse et d'un dévouement exceptionnels, très discrets mais toujours prêts à rendre service, à vous offrir des produits locaux et même à vous accompagner personnellement sur des lieux que vous n'auriez pu découvrir seuls... Great hosts and a lovely relaxing location

Luigi and Pina were wonderful hosts, making us feel very welcome and helping us to get the most out of our time in this beautiful part of southern Italy. Luigi brought us fresh fruit from his trees and gardens. He speaks English as well as Italian, and offered us good advice about other places to visit on the Gargano Peninsula (and also the best times to go to those places). Without his help, we would have missed some of the most beautiful parts of the Gargano's beautifully dramatic coastline. But this property was also a great place to just be lazy and enjoy what was close at hand: a wide courtyard and veranda offering both sun and shade, clean comfortable rooms, nice views from the rooftop terrace, nearby waterfront cafes, and the ability to walk out the front gate and step immediately onto a lovely stone beach with great views up and down the coast. You have you choice here between organized parts of the waterfront where you can rent a lounge chair and umbrella for a few euros or the unorganized stretch where you can put your towel down for free, enjoy the water, have a snack and simply go back to your own private courtyard for a shady siesta or a meal made in your own kitchenette. Another nice feature: plenty places to park a rental car under the shade of grape vines or olive trees. If you don't want to cook for yourself, there are various bar and restaurant options nearby. The small supermarket and green grocer up in town has all the basic supplies needed to make yourself comfortable. Internet service would have been nice since we were trying to use our international data plan very sparingly, but we were able to use the free wifi at the beach bar just 50 meters down the road -- and that was enough to maintain some degree of contact with the outside world. We would happily stay here again.

A house in the olive garden

Уютный белый домик с большой террасой, стоящий в центре сада. Внутри все новое, очень чисто, кухня оборудована всем необходимым, все работает. Вокруг красиво, зелено, тихо и спокойно. Артезианская вода из собственной скважины. Рядом с террасой печь для барбекю. От калитки до пляжа действительно 5 метров. Загорали на лежаках на террасе и на крыше домика, а купаться ходили прямо в купальниках. После пляжа можно ополоснуться пресной водой в саду. Пляж бесплатный, чистый, людей немного. Рядом (50 м) платный пляж с баром. Огромная и редкая удача для иностранцев в Италии: хозяин свободно говорит по-английски, очень доброжелательный, отзывчивый и гостеприимный человек, как и его жена. Парковка прямо в саду под оливами. До Маттинаты с ресторанами, магазинами, рынком и прочей инфраструктурой 2 км. Мы открыли для себя, что Маттината – наиболее удобное место с точки зрения доступности как удивительных красот Гаргано, так и основных достопримечательностей Апулии. За последние восемь лет наших ежегодных поездок в Италию это были лучшие каникулы. A cosy white house with a spacious terrace situated in the middle of the garden. Inside everything is new, working without any problems, neat. The kitchen is well equipped, and the interior has the air of being carefully thought over. The surroundings of the house are beautiful and freshly green, you can easily find quietude and silence. Water from own artesian hole to drink and shower. There is also a barbecue near the terrace. The way from the gate to the beach is really only 5 meters long. We’ve sunbathed on deck-chairs placed on the terrace and the roof of the house, and we used to go the beach directly in the swimsuits. After the sea you can use an open-air shower in the garden. The beach itself is free of charge and clean without being overcrowded. There is also a paid beach with a bar nearby. A rare and great luck for foreigners in Italy is the fact that the owner speaks fluent English. He is a benevolent, responsive and hospitable person as well as his wife. The parking is straight in the garden under the shade of olive trees. The distance to Mattinata with all its restaurants, shops, open-air market and other facilities is 2 km. We’ve discovered that Mattinata is the best decision of location which allows to visit and see both the incredible beauties of Gargano and the main points of interest of Puglia. The time we’ve spent here was the best during the last eight years of our annual trips to Italy.
