Perfect Secluded Getaway

This cabin was the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway and a chance to recharge. The air conditioning was a welcome relief after long trail walks with our dogs—they may have appreciated it even more than I did! The kitchen was well-stocked with basic essentials, which came in handy since I forgot a wine opener. The surrounding forest is incredibly serene, with birds singing in the morning—such a beautiful way to start the day. There are plenty of nearby trails that were great for the dogs, and we ended each evening relaxing by the firepit.Overall, this is a wonderful place to slow down, enjoy nature, and unwind. Highly recommend!

Serene, clean, and convenient

Simple but well-appointed cabin nestled into a beautiful pine forest only 20 minutes from town. The ladder up to the lofted space might be a bit challenging for some people, but works great! Great place.

Easter Weekend Getaway

The cabin was super cute and spotless. The problem was we found 3 which was enough that my daughter wouldn't stay in the cabin and kept me on the couch because one was upstairs in the bed.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this secluded cabin in the woods. My husband and I were getting away for our 15th Anniversary and just wanted to unwind. This cabin was the perfect spot to do it. We spent lots of time on the porch enjoying the beautiful weather and reading. There was plenty of space and the cabin was perfectly clean. We highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I stayed with our 2 dogs for 4 nights while our home was being renovated. The cabin was great and the location was just what we wanted - secluded but close enough to things if we wanted to do something. Very cozy and super clean cabin. It had everything we needed. The fire pit area is great and the huge covered porch was so nice. My only complaint (and the only reason I won’t return) is the bed in the main bedroom is entirely too small for 2 adults. Hubby ended up on the couch. Not quite the romantic getaway I’d hoped for. The bed in the loft is a bit bigger but not practical since the only access is a ladder (middle of the night bathroom trips would be dangerous). My hope is that it can be considered to flip the bed in the main room to one of the walls with the windows. Yes you’d partially block a window but with a lower bed it wouldn’t be so bad and then you’d be able to fit a queen size bed. Other than the tiny bed, the place was great. If you don’t mind a small bed, then don’t hesitate to book this place! Some outings we did - Cooperstown, Howe Cavern, Brewery Ommegang, Rail Explorers, & Robert V Riddell State Park. All worth checking out! All in all great place and great trip and I give it 5 stars!!

Perfect Little Getaway!

Stayed at the Secluded Cabin for a long weekend and had the BEST experience! We enjoyed our morning coffees on the front porch, taking in the beautiful fall foliage. The crisp weather allowed us to use both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces which was such a lovely way to spend the weekend! We will definitely be staying again!

Beautiful Cabin Hidden away in the Forest

My wife and 2 young boys loved this Cabin. Lazy afternoons on the hammock, smores over the fire pit, and cozy evenings in the Cabin itself. Clean, spacious and exactly what we needed for a week away from the city. Beautiful surrounding area as well and easy access to neighboring towns, hikes and trails. Everyone very sad to leave.

Wooded retreat.

The cabin was everything that my wife wanted to celebrate her 40th birthday. A nice cozy wooded cabin free of the hussle and bussle. Close enough to town for anything essential. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet get away. The cabin was very clean, and had all the creature comforts you could need.

My kids and I wanted to turn off from the world for a little reset. This property is so sweet and cozy and Incredibly well maintained. We loved walking in the woods behind the house, hanging out in the hammock and enjoying the fire pit. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. It was exactly what we needed.

Away from it all

We found exactly what we were looking for at the cabin... peace and quiet, surrounded by nature! We walked the property, as well as bundling up in blankets and sat on the porch to watch it snow. The owner was quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your place with us Michael!!

Quiet and charming

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is it. We were in the area to visit Cooperstown and found this cabin.Cabin was immaculate and very comfortable, although we basically slept/showered and left each day (so I cannot comment on the kitchen functionality - although everything in there was in great shape).Upstairs loft is awesome, but it does require using a ladder to access.Owner contact (Michael) was responsive and everything was exactly as described. WiFi was capable of supporting four adults as we checked our phones at night.Fire pit outside - bring firewood - you’ll pass several roadside options on the drive. Hammock as well. Backyard is large enough for corn bag competition (bring your own boards) or playing catch. Cabin is surrounded by a beautiful pine forest. You are in the forest.Getting to the cabin from C’town involved a winding 40 minute drive over a couple of “mountains” and through some valleys - not tough, but def required gps help from phone. We never attempted it at night due to the # of turns and potential for animals on roadway. Pretty drive.Oneonta is the closest big city (15-20 min drive from cabin) - plenty of grocery options there.Tried several restaurants/breweries/wineries in area - highly recommend Ommegang for the vibe - check their website for local musical acts (Friday nights?). Tried Cooperstown Brewing Company - good beer, but much smaller place than O and more of a taproom/bar. Upstate Bar/Grill was excellent.

Beautiful cabin, dirt road getting to cabin we navigated, might need more rock to make it smoother. There was no soap in the bathroom which would have been nice, we did find dial liquid soap in kitchen to use. This is minor. Otherwise we truly enjoyed ourselves. It would have been helpful to know nearby grocery stores, places to eat nearby for those very unfamiliar with the area. We did figure it all out.

Quiet

My husband and I decided to stay in a cozy cabin for our 10 year wedding anniversary. This was the perfect spot. Far away from everything but close enough to have a couple adventures in one day. The cabin was clean and well maintained. You can tell that someone really loves this home away from home. The beds, couch and dining table were very comfy and sturdy. It rained the whole first day we were there so the porch was a nice spot to sit. Rain on a metal roof is definitely one of the best sounds to sleep to. We brought wood and had a fire on our second night. It was so quiet and the stars were so bright.
