Log cabin in Worcester, New York nestled on six wooded acres. 35 minutes from Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame, Dreams Park, antiques, beach and boating, and craft shops), and two college town of Oneonta (restaurants, movies, shopping, Soccer Hall of Fame, All Star Village) and Cobleskill. (Howe and Secret Caverns, American Indian Museum). Spectacular Fall foliage.

Guests appreciate the closeness of nature and quiet time to rediscover each other. Many write in the guest book that they find that they preferred to stay in the cabin rather than sightseeing. A perfect spot for the artistic and writers. Families can enjoy fishing, hiking, searching for fossils, golfing and whatever else nature provides. Romantic for couples.

Perfect stay and excellent property manager

We had an amazing time at the log cabin. Peter was the best property manager we have dealt with. Everything was clean and instructions were clear. We ended up staying for a couple of snow days and the cabin was equipped with everything from cooking to snow removal. Thank you Peter and family again for an amazing stay.

Cooperstown

We got the cabin for our family trip to Cooperstown. It was very quaint, but had everything we needed. Very pretty cabin and secluded which was nice. The hosts gave excellent directions so we had no issues finding the property. Very nice family accommodations!

Amazing experience!!

The cabin is beautiful and rustic. It was so peaceful, and the amenities were perfect. I enjoyed the jacuzzi tub, the wood stove, the beds were so comfortable and I’m the location couldn’t have been better. I will go back and plan a much longer trip. Thank you for a wonderful weekend….

A Wonderful Cabin Stay

Everything about our stay was perfect. The cabin was well maintained and beautiful. The property was peaceful and exactly what we needed for our weekend in Cooperstown. Our hosts were quick to respond and shared information on what to do in the area. We will definitely stay here again when we come back in the future. Highly recommended property and host. Lovely cabin

we have a short but sweet stay this cabin, it was a home away from home and very clean! It had everything we needed so it was helpful to not have to pack extra things in the car. The gardens were beautiful and our favorite part was sitting on the porch swing looking to relax. Thank you for sharing your home with us! It was perfect!

I’ve taken my family on many trips and stayed in many rental properties. This place was something my wife and two children will never forget. The cabin is exactly as described, extremely clean and spacious with a wonderful outdoor layout. What is different about this property is the way it makes you feel. For lack of a better term this place is alive ! There is a peaceful aura that is unmistakable as soon as you pull up in the driveway. The next few nights are spent realizing that the best things in life are time spent with family making wonderful memories. This cabin brings out those realizations and feelings and I as a father am very thankful for the opportunity to stay here. We are already looking forward to coming back.

Relaxing

Booking the trip was easy. Any questions I had were answered by the property owner. The cabin is very cozy and as pictured. It is in a wooded area that is beautiful. There is no wifi and no telephone so keep that in mind. Being able to disconnect did add to a peaceful weekend.

Perfect for a loud family!

We have a naturally loud family, so a cabin in the woods is perfect for us! The host/hostess were very accommodating and answered questions quickly. The cabin had all the amenities we needed. My husband was thrilled to be cooking on the wood stove inside and the very versatile outdoor firepit!! There's an adorable book written by the owners of that cabin that included a "treasure hunt", it was so perfect for the kids, as parents we were very pleased by this extra thought for the children! We loved our back roads rides and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous!! If your looking for something a little out of the way, cozy, and family friendly, this is the cottage for you! We will definitely be going back!

Very cozy log cabin in a beautiful area of NY. We had a great time relaxing and visiting The Baseball Hall of fame in Cooperstown. Peter was great at communicating with us. My only suggestion would be to grocery shop before you get there. There are some well equipped gas stations that carry food about 10 minutes away but the closest grocery store is 25-30 minutes. If we are ever in the area, we would love to stay here again!

We were in town for a wedding and a weekend of RnR. This is the perfect spot for that! The cabin was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch swing and evening drinks by the fire while listening to nature. It truly was a great location to unwind and recharge. If we are ever back in the area, we will be booking this cabin!! A communication with Peter, he was the best host ive ever encountered while booking a trip. Highly recommend.

This home gave us a cozy, comfy, and quiet place to spend time as a family before dropping our son at college. Peter was such a kind and welcoming host :-) I'd love to visit again. *One thing to be aware of - the sleep lofts are actual lofts with ladders so be aware if you are bringing very young children or older adults.

We stayed for Baseball HOF weekend. Easy 25 minute drive to Cooperstown. Perfect setting in the woods for our family of five. Kids loved of loft sleeping areas. Host was very responsive to my questions and kind. Great place and would stay there again when visiting!

great cozy get-away

This is a real log cabin get-away. Surrounded by trees and far from other homes, it is cozy and private. We only used the downstairs but there are two loft spaces upstairs which would be perfect for kids. You do have to bring your own linens and clean when you leave, but that keeps the cost down (since they don't charge an additional cleaning fee like many places do). You can tell it's someone's home which is sweet. We would def go back!

This property is a unique piece of heaven in the woods near a small town and close to Cooperstown and several college towns. One of its treasures is the long stream of people who have rented it with an appreciation for nature and respect for the next guests. People have renewed their relationships, gotten married, had honeymoons, made decisions and held family reunions here. Children have enjoyed a treasure hunt we provide and the joy of learning to skip stones, find fossils and roast marshmallows in the fire pit under a star filled sky.

We feel that this property is a gift to us to be shared, and it's our joy to read the guest book comments. We keep the costs as low as possible so families on budgets can afford a bonding moment with each other and nature. Profits from the rentals go into cabin upkeep and improving the lives of people in third world countries - most recently food and a sanitation facility in a very remote village.
