York Lane Carriage House is a secluded retreat perfect for a romantic weekend getaway.
Located on the second floor, this spacious one-bedroom apartment offers exceptional comfort and convenience for two Lucky Savannah guests. Centrally located, all of Savannah’s rich history, excellent restaurants, entertainment venues, museums and shops just steps away.

With a thousand square feet of living space, attractive furnishings, and large east, south and west-facing windows, York Lane Carriage House is bright and inviting. The living room has plenty of space to sit and relax while watching the large flat screen TV. Open to the living room, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need during your stay and the nearby dining table is the perfect spot to plan your day. This property has a washer and dryer, making it ideal for extended stays. After a long day of sightseeing, you’ll come back to snuggle up under the blankets of the king sized bed.

The city’s most sought after attractions – bustling River Street, Broughton Street shopping, Telfair Museum, Lucas Theater, the Cathedral, Forsyth Park and more – are all within easy walking distance. Whether you want to create your own pancakes at the Funky Brunch Cafe, or enjoy an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Soda and Leopold’s Ice Cream, you’ll be in a great location to explore all Savannah has to offer.

Arriving guests please note that despite its central location, some GPS systems don’t recognize East York Lane or mislabel it as East York Street. The entrance to the apartment is at 425 East York Lane, which is different from and directly behind 425 East York Street. The Lane, which does not have a separate street sign, is a broad, paved, well-lighted service road that runs parallel to – and between – Oglethorpe Street and East York Street and between Habersham and Price Streets.

Parking: Metered Parking
Parking can be found on-street, and is metered which is enforced by the City of Savannah Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm. You have the option of feeding the meter, parking in a nearby parking garage, or buying a parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center. All of that information is included in our confirmation email sent upon booking.

Perfect for two!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Carriage house was the perfect layout and location. Clean, comfortable, and well decorated. The only thing I would recommend is providing beach chairs, beach towels, and beach umbrella. They apparently have rentals at the beach but not when were were there and from what I understand, the rentals were pretty expensive. Also suggest providing more than one hand towel for the bathroom and more than one hand towel for the kitchen.

Ok stay

There are a few things that I definitely think could be done for future guests. There really needs to be some extra blankets. It is nice to snuggle under blankets in the living room to watch tv, without having to remove them from the bed. Speaking of tv, upgrade to a smart tv so people can access their streaming services. And speaking of tv again, putting one in the armoire in the bedroom to be able to watch tv in bed. Maybe put a few extra wash clothes in the bathroom, and or towels for that matter. It's not a hotel where you can call down to the front desk to have them bring them up. The rug in the living room is terrible. It is hard on your feet to walk on it.I would give this stay at 3.5 rating I would say. Definitely could have used a little more hospitality feel. The other VRBO I have stayed at have a few bottles of water in the fridge and a few snacks on the counter. This was definitely more like a hotel stay kind of feel to the house.It was decent walking distance to all places.

Perfect home base for Savannah visit

The property was perfect for our visit to Savannah. Conveniently located to everything in the historic district we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. Quiet neighborhood to go back to at night. The property had everything we could have needed or wanted. Will stay again.

Spacious Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location! Walkable to the riverfront and many of the tourist attractions, along with cafés, restaurants and shops. Entrance is in back alley but is well lit. Clean, very comfortable and spacious. Nice amenities (dishwasher, laundry, ironing board, TV, etc). Street parking was only $12 for the day and we could pay with an app; no issues finding a spot close by. More face cloths and bath mats should be standard, but they were quick to drop more off. Shower doesn't drain very well, but again, they sent someone out right away which helped it a little. We would stay here again!

The property was the perfect place for me and my husband to spend the weekend for my birthday. It is close to everything but just far enough to where it is quiet at night. Which made it perfect after a long day and night out and about. Would definitely stay there again.

Don't believe Lucky Savannah advertising!!!

Ad stated "This unit has one private parking space behind the home". This was a big reason we booked the unit. After finding out there was no private parking we contacted Lucky Savannah and they denied that the ad stated this. We made a copy of the ad and sent it to them on 11/18/23. Still no response from them as of 12/1/23.

10 year anniversary getaway

The carriage house was wonderful. It was close to everything and check in and out was a breeze. We were able to do our laundry which was nice. The water pressure was amazing! Beds were comfortable, the only complaint would be the sheets don’t quite fit the bed well and the corners come up. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable Rental on York Lane

It sits in a quiet residential area on the east side of the historic area, walking distance from just about everything of interest. Instructions are provided where needed, lights etc. are clearly labeled and the WiFi was reliable. Cleaning: While the bedroom and bathroom were cleaned thoroughly, some areas in the kitchen were not. There is a workshop down the lane and some occasional construction noise, which is to be expected in Historic District.

Clean, adorable carriage house

This was a wonderful experience. There is a flight of stairs up to the living accommodations but they were not an obstacle. We loved the clean, well kept carriage house. It had all the essentials and they were easy to find. We walked to everything we did in downtown Savannah without any trouble. The entrance is more of an alley than a street (think carriage house) but it was well lit and felt safe. We parked nearby in a free spot, though many spots nearby were paid parking. The paid parking spots were easily managed through the Savannah parking app. Checking in and out was seamless and information was easy to follow. Savannah is a great city and our carriage house was a perfect place to regroup.

Nice condo with a good location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was in a perfect location, walking distance to all the sights but a few short blocks away from all the noise. The neighborhood is quiet, the bed was comfortable, and we slept great. We felt totally safe walking back at night and paid parking on the street was easy with the Park Savannah mobile app. We enjoyed getting a drink to go from the local establishments and sitting in one of the nearby squares. It was so peaceful. We found some cute coffee shops and good restaurants that were a short walk away. We had a minor maintenance issue, but the management team was quick to respond and fix the problem.The only small complaints we had were a lack of washcloths, only two were provided for an entire week for two people. Also only two coffee filters for the week. Not a huge deal, but a little more attention to the smaller details would be nice.Overall we had a great stay and recommend this condo.

There was hair and dust on the bathroom floor and wall behind the door. The day of checkout, at around 10 the cleaning people walked right in and up the stairs, ummmm checkout is 11 and I did not check out yet. What if I was having an intimate moment and people are in there, completely unprofessional.
