About this property
Cedar House Close to Beach, Attractions, Stetson Univ, Sky Dive Deland, fishing
The Cedar House of Deland is a beautifully furnished large 3 bedroom, 1 bath home on 2 beautiful acres within the city limits of Deland. With two queen bedrooms and a king, it sleeps six very comfortably. The master bedroom has its own sitting area and its own entrance from the outside and is located on the opposite side from the other two bedrooms in case you need extra privacy. The second bedroom with a view of the landscaped property, has two huge walk in closets. We've even had guests who used one for their baby's room- we have a crib if needed. The black canopied bed of bedroom three adds an interesting flair to the decor. Both the second and third bedrooms share the hallway with the remodeled bath and large walk in pantry for the kitchen. The bath has two granite topped vanities making it easy for two people to get ready to go out at the same time. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make your favorite meals, including pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker with coffee, and linens. The laundry room is right off the kitchen with a door leading to the privacy fenced back yard. The dining area is large with sufficient room for a four seat oak dining table and china hutch as well as a marble bistro table for two. The Cedar House of Deland would comfortably house a large family on holiday for a month and not feel claustrophobic. Equally suitable for a couples getaway.

The deck out front is ideal for those vacationers who love the beautiful weather of Florida. It overlooks the pretty landscaping making it feel like a secluded home although you are just a quick walk away from the city tennis courts and brand new recreation center of Deland. The football stadium is there as is the skate park and a lake with ducks. A large craft festival is housed in this park area every year. And you are only 1 mile from the center of historic downtown Deland with its small town feel, many shops, restaurants and theaters, and events.

About Bill Watford
I am a native Floridian. There are a lot of nice cities in Florida and my two favorite small towns are Deland on the east side of the state and Cedar Key due west on the Gulf of Mexico.
I started buying houses to rent as an investment while I had a full time day job, my first in 1985 and I still own it - the Cedar House of Deland. My full time job today is managing the vacation rentals and short stay properties that I own.
I have several in Deland: The Units of the Deland Marigold, Grandma's Place, and The Cedar House. I also have two in Cedar Key: The TreeHouse and Goose Cove Cottage.
I enjoy what I do and am passionate about seeing that my guests have a great experience while staying in one of my properties.

Why they chose this property
This property is located only 10 blocks from the center of Deland, an historic town with a rich culture going back to the Mid 1800’s. It has been voted the Best Small Town in America several times. This property’s location is a block from the city tennis courts and Earl Brown park with a lake with lots of ducks. This is also the location for the annual arts and craft fair and the skate park. If you are here for a Stetson football or baseball game, you can walk to the game.
What makes this property unique
Two acres that seem to be in the country although you close to downtown and all of the activities there. With three super nice bedrooms, you have room for your whole family. The front porch is an awesome place to relax in the beautiful Florida weather. The owners, Bill & Erin really thought through what would make guests feel at home and designed this place around that.
