My wife and I stayed here for a month and had a very enjoyable stay. We had everything we needed. The location is particularly good. Brevard is about 10 minutes away and Hendersonville is about 25 minutes away. The views from the deck are amazing. If you enjoy hiking or biking, you are minutes from both Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Park. Our host, Heidi, was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here with a group of friends. Nice place, comfy beds. The location was great - out in the country enough to be quiet and pretty views but actually really close to shops & restaurants when we wanted them.

Great Pisgah Location

This house is in a perfect location for all activities - biking, hiking, Sliding Rock, shopping, and eating. The large dining table was a plus as all 7 of us could gather to eat and play games.

Great location to hiking, Brevard, beautiful Mountain View

Enjoyed our stay there with friends while attending a wedding nearby. Went hiking at Dupont State Forest, went to Looking Glass Falls, ate at good restaurants in nearby town of Brevard, and visited Biltmore Estates. Will be back.

Thanks so much for your input! We really rely on guests' thoughts so we can improve as needed. There are no stairs leading from upstairs deck to the yard below as it is important to limit access to the house. This is for safety to prevent possible break-ins as the house is often empty. The yard is semi-secluded so safety is foremost in our minds!

Waterfall wedding weekend

The red barn was a perfect getaway for our family of 7. Plenty of beds, plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. The property was wonderful to let the kids go wild outside and the drive was just down the road from multiple amazing hikes. With or without the kids, this property is worth a quiet getaway with plenty of space to relax

Apple Picking Trip

Wonderful stay in the renovated barn! Loved the big window in the living area where we even spotted a white squirrel in the tree. House was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. As advertised and communication with the owners was great. Would definitely stay again. Convenient location - we went apple picking at Jeter mountain, gem mining, walked downtown Hendersonville, and went on a short hike to Hooker falls in DuPont Forrest.

Birthday party

Our stay at the Barnhouse was wonderful. It’s a unique property in a rural setting that is only minutes from both Brevard and Hendersonville. The floorplan worked great for a birthday party I put together for my girlfriend. The house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It offers a lot of space both inside and outside and has wonderful views from both. There is also plenty of parking space. Heidi, the host, was very sweet and responded to all of my questions quickly. We all felt right at home in this cozy house.

Old Friends, New Memories

Great place to stay. This is not a cookie-cutter rental without charm. The view from the deck is incredible.Five college buddies who are now 50 had a great time at this property. Two of us are mountain bikers and rode Dupont and Ride Rock Creek, which are close by, while the others went to play golf and tubing within earshot of the house. We also caught an Asheville Tourists' game. Wonderful weekend getaway. Clean place and great communication with host. No issues.

The kitchen was not well equipped for cooking. The air conditioning was not consistent. Some rooms were cold and one room was warm to the point it made you sweat. The ice maker did not work throughout the stay. We continually had to buy ice. The gas grill did not have utensils to clean it. So, we could not use it! The location was great. The lawn was good for the dog. Overall, it was not worth the money!

The "barn" was well appointed and met our needs completely. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need and even though an earlier review had said there was no ice, the ice maker was working great and we had a bountiful. The entire space was very comfortable and no one had any complaints. It's location near Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Recreational Park and Brevard was perfect for all the things we wanted to do.

Spacious and Comfortable With Beautiful Views

We stayed here for Thanksgiving and even in the winter the views from the living room window and deck were spectacular! We had plenty of room for 6 people, including 2 married couples who each had their own large master bedroom with en suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms are smaller and less private but still adequate. All the beds were very comfortable! The kitchen is large & clean. The property owner replied quickly to all of our questions. We were very pleased with our stay and hope to stay here again during the summer.

Mountain Biking Weekend!

This property is really well placed for access to popular trails. This property is beautiful and interesting. Very comfortable for a large group with everything you need. Owners are great communicators and go out of their way to make sure you have a smooth trip. Even offered us a late check out. Highly recommended!
