Secluded Cabin Retreat with Hot Tub, for Family Get Away

800 square foot newly remodeled retreat with 400 square foot screened in porch overlooking the pond. Solid Heart Pine Walls and hand made aspen log beds offer a rustic feel in the heart of the comfort. 6 person Hot Tub, rocking Chairs, love seat and a picnic table all on the screened in porch offer a relaxing, comfortable area to enjoy the sunset over the pond. The private 14 acre pond is perfect to play in the water and enjoy a leisure kayak around. There are two aluminum jon boats and 3 kayaks supplied with the property for the use of the guests. Renters are more than welcome to bring paddle boats or kayaks to explore the ponds three coves. The wood dock is ideal for use as swim platform or deck, or for viewing the wild ducks and geese that frequent the property. The 175 acre property is home to an abundance of turkey, and deer.we do not allow hunting, however you’re welcome to watch or photograph the wildlife. During the winter weather, the house is ideal for families that want a quiet escape. The house is supplied with linens, towels, coffee pot, pots, pans and a charcoal grill. Located 35 miles of east of Columbia South Carolina, 8 miles west of Orangeburg, the house is easy to reach but still an idyllic spot for fishermen. Please note there is a strict limit of 6 guest at the property and no parties are allowed.

This is a great cabin, secluded yet not unsettling.My wife and I enjoyed the tranquility from being on the lake, where the surrounding trees reflect beautifully on the water when the wind is calm.It's about a 15-20 minute drive to Orangeburg, making it a truly great stay.

We enjoyed the cabin, the hot tub, fire pit, peace and quiet on the dock very much. Losing one star as we felt that specific things could be cleaner or in better condition such as hot tub cover, grill, inside of cupboards, baseboards. Furniture and beds were clean, great and comfy. Very charming and nice getaway and we very much liked our time there.

Everything was perfect until we headed outside to the deck, grassy area or dock/boat area. The fire ant hills were beyond ridiculous!!! There were a multitude/myriad of fire ant hills EVERYWHERE!!! There were tons of spider webs and around the property. And finally, the jacuzzi. The water level was very low and the water was dirty. We only spent a couple a nights here but, we really could have used the jacuzzi. Finally, as we were washing dishes, again only 2 of us, the kitchen sink started to back up on us and we had to plunge the sink!! We did speak to the owner just prior to leaving and he stated that he had been away the week before and had not checked on the condition of the property. Granted that explained the myriad of ant hills but not the jacuzzi. Such a disappointment.

Great place out in the woods for a weekend. The beds are comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water and the pond is very well kept. Couldn't ask for more than that.

Quiet getaway

Great property , clean and just right for our trip. Enjoyed Kayaking on the pond and the kids loved fishing. Nicely outfitted with all the necessities. This was my first Vrbo experience and it was excellent, from check in to check out. Would definetly recommend this place.

Born and raised in Orangeburg, i fell in love with the charm of the cabin and want to make it available to others that might not have the same access to outdoors as I have been granted.
