You'll have everything you need - just bring your suitcase and groceries! The Doll House makes a perfect launching pad for your next vacation, business trip, or visit to nearby relatives or students at Plymouth State University or Holderness School.
The Doll House hosts two full bedrooms upstairs, one room with a full bed and one room with two twin beds (one of the twins is a trundle bed). The living room, fully equipped kitchen and bath with shower are downstairs. In warmer months, enjoy the lovely screen porch, garden sitting and eating areas and a cute 'pocket park' across the street.
You'll have full access to the Doll House to come and go as you wish (though you might love it so much you won't 'go' very often)!

A great "little" place!
The Dollhouse was a well appointed place from which we launched our whirlwind 2 day visit to Plymouth. Everything we needed for our stay was at our finger tips.
Perfect location for University visit. The house is comfortable and clean. WiFi work great and key entry was not a problem.

So cute and cozy
We had a great time staying at the Doll House. It was so close to town which had great restaurants and entertainment. The Flying Monkey was a perfect music venue. Thanks again Susan

Very cute small house within walking distance of a small town center. Well appointed; has pretty much everything needed for a nice stay, as well as many charming practical and decorative items from yesteryear. Not suited for really tall people, though!
Loved my stay at the Doll House! It is well equipped in a quiet neighborhood. The flower gardens, outdoor seating, front porch where you can hear the running brook, and the back porch are added bonuses to this cozy cute home. Highly recommend. Great location within walking distance to town.
Really wonderful stay at the enchanting Doll House. It's a great location, within comfortable walking distance to all that Plymouth has to offer. Susan was exceptional as a host. Very attentive, friendly, and quite accessible when needed. I would definitely recommend both the Doll House and Susan wholeheartedly.
The perfect cozy little spot in a convenient location. Wonderful yard and spaces to enjoy the outdoors ... including a screened in porch. An easy walk to downtown Plymouth which has all the features of a college town --- great mix of restaurants and shops.

Thanks, George, for your kind words and we're so glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Doll House! We appreciate that you chose to stay with us and look forward to hosting you again soon!
The Doll House is cute, clean, updated and came with a surprisingly well stocked kitchen (only surprised because most rentals have the bare minimum). We were grateful for the crib so we didn’t have to bring a travel crib and enjoyed the proximity to Squam Lake and the White Mountains. We will definitely be back!
This house provided us with a cozy, charming retreat. It is indeed small, but it doesn't feel in the least bit cramped, thanks to the light, the number of rooms, and the tasteful decor. The kitchen is surprisingly well-appointed, which made it easy for us to prepare our own meals. Susan was a gracious, welcoming host. We warmly recommend The Dollhouse!

The sunny red & white kitchen with the big flower box window made me smile every morning.
Lovely well appointed cozy home in easy walking distance to shops & dining. Only a short drive to The White Mountains and The Lakes. We came here for a wedding on Church Island and reception at the Common Man. Perfect central location although you may just want to sit out on the screened porch and enjoy the garden here. And thank you for accommodating our early arrival with such grace Susan.

Thanks so much for your kind comments here and in the guestbook! I am so glad that you got out onto beautiful Squam Lake. It is so much fun to share our beautiful area and my tiny house with guests! I hope you'll be returning to our area again! Safe travels and rich adventures,
Susan.
The Doll House is absolutely darling! So cozy. We loved the front porch rocker and swing, the screened back porch, the crisp sheets, the LL Bean quilts. And the location was great for us. Plymouth is a quaint little town. Close to hiking trails, the Quincy Bog, the Pemi River, Nourish Food Truck, Ladders Thrift Store! We found a gem.
Thank you, Susan! We'd love to come back! Amy V.

Adorable little house
Just returned home from our two night stay at the Doll House. It is as adorable as it shows in the pictures. It was clean and comfy. We sat in the porch swing and listened to the sounds of nature. Everything you need for cooking is available. The bed was comfy. It is very close to downtown Plymouth and the college. We also traveled to Squam Lake to take the pontoon boat cruise and to explore the Polar Caves. Both are less than 30 minutes from the house. Check out the books in the living room bookcase! There are some old books; one Bobbsey Twins book had an inscription from 1925. Very cool . The owner Susan checked in via email to be sure we arrived and to ask if we needed anything. Would definitely stay again.

Can I move here!?
LOVED the Doll House! Loved Plymouth! We stayed at the Doll House while visiting Plymouth State University, with my youngest daughter. What a fantastic cottage! I felt at home, it was perfect! Easily can walk into town and to the college campus. At night my husband and I would walk into town, to burn off some calories from all the good stuff we bought at Baked Cafe, in town (say YES to Carrot Cake!). The town was truly magical this time of year. There was snow, it was decorated for Christmas, I honestly think they film Hallmark Christmas movies here. It was great! Cannon Mountain wasn't too far away- I dropped off husband and daughter there on Saturday for some snowboarding. I was able to explore the area, find a covered bridge, some antique shops, and a Marshalls. Could see visiting in the spring, since hiking trails aren't too far of a drive away.
The owner is wonderful! There was small problem with the lockset (wear and tear, cold winters) and she responded to us instantly and had it fixed in no time at all. When my daughter attends Plymouth State- I hope to stay at the Doll House every chance I get to visit! Would stay here again in an instant! Will have to come back with my mom-- she fell in love with the kitchen, from the photos. This house belongs in a story book, love it!

We enjoyed our stay here in Plymouth, NH very much. The house was just the right size for the two of us. The house is prettily decorated, spotless clean, and in a very quiet corner of town.
We found the Doll House well appointed and convenient to downtown Plymouth. We especially enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch in the evenings. We highly recommend staying there.
Communication with Susan was amazing- she really makes sure her guests are happy and know how to get into the property. Once in the house, it is warm and cozy from the get go. Very New Hampshire feel with cute decor. We can't thank you enough and hope to be back someday!
Besides the obvious adorableness, the Doll House is well appointed with all you may need. Easy walk to town. Bed was comfortable. I loved sitting on the rocking chair on the front porch listening to the creek at all times of the day.
The Doll House was the perfect place to stay with my son for the weekend! It’s hard enough to get a teenager to hang out with you, let alone travel out of state! When I showed him the pictures of where we would be saying he was very excited about going to New Hampshire!.
The house was warm and welcoming and cozy, just like I wanted for the weekend.
We had everything that we needed and more, they were plenty of towels, blankets, dishes and much more than you could want or need.
Susan was so kind and helping with our reservation and was always available if I needed anything from her.
I took a handful of business cards so I can give them to all my friends when I tell them about the wonderful experience I had this past weekend at The Doll House.

About the host
Hosted by Susan Mathison
I have lived in Plymouth for 11 years after moving here from the beautiful Oregon Coast. My partner Steve is a second-generation Plymouth native. Between the two of us we have five kids and a growing crop of grandkids. We are involved in lots of community group and enjoy the connections we make traveling and by sharing our home with others. Between our kids, grandkids, rowing, community service, and gardening, we pack a lot of JOY into each day. We look forward to meeting you!
Why they chose this property
Local Michael and Linda B. lovingly restored this home over the past 9 years. It came time for them to find the Doll House a new owner and, as fate would have it, they found me. Or, perhaps, the Doll House found me? I am thrilled to be able to have the responsibility to take this home on to its 100th birthday and to make it available for you to enjoy. I think you will find that it is perfect - just big enough for your visit, quiet get-away, romantic escape, or longer stay.
