About this property
Breathtaking View at 5 Star Rated Private Studio Cabin
If you are looking for a way to “unwind” or have a “romantic getaway” then there is no better place than the awe inspiring beauty of the Smoky Mountains. Riser’s Ridge Cabin offers you an opportunity to experience one of the best views nature has to offer from the deck of a Private and Beautifully Furnished Studio Cabin. Although the Smoky Mountains is world famous for its fall season, it is also spectacular during spring, summer and winter. And when you are ready to tear yourself away from your rocking chairs on the deck, the cabin has been furnished with nothing but the best in décor. You can enjoy a meal you prepared in the full kitchen, take up a book in front of the wood burning fireplace, or kick back on the couch to do absolutely nothing! We all need more time like that either to ourselves or to spend time with our special someone. If you do feel like you need to get out for some activity, you are 10-15 minutes away from all that Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg have to offer…hiking, biking, antiquing, restaurants and don’t forget Dollywood.
Riser’s Ridge is our personal vacation home and therefore has been furnished and maintained at a high level of quality and care. This cabin is nothing less than an investment in our own happiness; waiting for just the right cabin with just the right view and we have no doubt that succeeded. Now that we were finally able to move to this wonderful state, we live about an hour away but can't be at the cabin all the time so we thought we would offer this amazing experience to other people who just need a way to relax, recover, reconnect, and take in the beauty of nature. We are sure you will come away feeling the same way we did the first time we stood on the deck and took in the spectacular scene all around...breathtaking!
Riser’s Ridge Cabin is a One Bedroom Studio floor plan. It is fully furnished with an upscale modern rustic style. It provides a King Size bed with quality bedding and mattress. A dresser and night stand complete the bedroom area. There is full kitchen with all the basic necessities you would need to prepare meals in addition to a dining table that lets you enjoy both the wood burning fireplace and HD television while you eat. There is a high quality Leather Sofa to sit back and relax in front of the TV and/or fireplace. The wrap around deck comes with two rocking chairs and swing bench; and there is a charcoal barbecue stand for your grilling needs just off the deck. The cabin provides central air, modern water filtration, DVD Player, a Smart TV (with free YouTube TV access) and a free WiFi connection. The road to the cabin is completely paved and since Riser’s Ridge sits at the end, you have plenty of parking in the private cul-de-sac. Although Riser’s Ridge already stands out above the rest just the way it is, we also have plans to continue to upgrade it more and more in the future.
We offer this cabin with a focus on two adults. We do not allow children over the "infant" age. We completely understand the desire to share time and this experience with your kids, we are also parents, but this cabin is just not furnished for more than two and we have found children to be a bit "rough" with things in terms of upkeep and maintenance.
And, in case this might be an option that works for you, Riser's Ridge is also just a few doors down from our other cabin, Days Go By (ID 821359). The close proximity of these cabins gives guests a perfect opportunity to travel with other friends and family; each of you getting to enjoy your own private retreat with the same unbeatable views, but be a short walking distance from reconnecting. Just a thought!
In the event you were wondering where Riser's Ridge got its name, I named it after a song that is truly worthy of such a beautiful place....Riser by Dierks Bentley.

It was amaizing!! Everything! The house, the view wasreally the best!! Only the bathroom was outdated, but we had every thing what we need. And this morning we were very suprised, a motherbear with 4 cubs were around the house, it was crazy!! We had a wonderful time in the Smokey Mountains!
Everything was very clean and looked exactly like the pictures. The host gave us very detailed information about what to expect for our drive in due to the nature of the mountains as well as everything else about the cabin. Communication was excellent and even though our drive took longer than expected due to traffic and construction so we didn't arrive until after dark, we were still able to pull in and get settled with no issues. It felt very much like home.
This place is small. It is meant for just a couple of people. It is at the end of a road, so you do have privacy. The view is beautiful. If it is raining that does change the view with all the clouds. It is a very peaceful place to stay. There isn't a hot tub. The bed is a little uncomfortable. There is a small dishwasher. There isn't a washer or dryer, so if you plan to stay longer than a few days keep that in mind. We had a good time, we needed some peace and you definitely will get that here.
Pictures don’t do this adorable cabin justice! The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of supplies in the kitchen (we made breakfast and dinner there.) Very close to attractions nearby in pigeon forge. We had a bear and bear cub sighting on the way to the cabin.Be very cautious driving up the steep one lane road to the cabin, but you definitely feel like you have your privacy up there. The view was spectacular. We loved the screen door on the back porch so we could leave that open to hear outside, but avoid the bugs and carpenter bees.
This cabin is a wonderful place with a wonderful view, tucked up in the hills away from the bustle, but still a fairly short drive to the towns or the park.
2nd year staying here, cabin is still an excellent place to stay. Had a little issue that was no one’s fault, and Amy took care of it right away. Can’t wait to come back next year!
THE VIEW WAS AMAZING. WE LOVED THE DRIVE IN THE MOUTAIN TO THE CABIN. IT WAS AMAZINGLY QUIET & FAIRLY SECLUDED.AMY HAD DIRECTIONS IN ANEMAIL & ON THE FRIDGE FOR THE OCCUPANTS.
Everything went super smooth for our stay. Check-in was super easy and the cabin was very clean. The view from the deck is breathtaking and we had so much fun celebrating our anniversary here. This cabin is the perfect remote getaway for two while still staying close to town.
We have come to visit this cabin for 10 years now. I love it so much I won't stay anywhere else. The owners are so nice and caring. And are always quick to respond.
Cabin is cozy and has a wonderful view. The road going up is a bit steep and narrow, but well worth it. We had a great stay!

About the host
Hosted by Amy Schnieder
I was a life long California resident before finally retiring from 28 years on the LAPD and now a full time Tennessee resident. I discovered, and fell in love with, the Smokey Mountains immediately as I had explored the United States planning for my retirement from law enforcement. I just had to have a place to call my own to return to and Riser's Ridge is that place. I love the beauty of nature and appreciate the sense of peace and rejuvenation it offers from the every day grind of life.
Why they chose this property
Riser's Ridge was not purchased as a money making venture; it was sought out with great care and brought to life with a sense of pride and respect for what the Smoky Mountains has to offer and as a reward for a life of hard work. This cabin is my home away from home. I am asking for only renters that can appreciate a wonderful experience and respect that I am opening the doors to my own personal refuge because I believe it is too amazing not to share with other like minded people.
What makes this property unique
Riser's Ridge undoubtedly offers you a front row, deck side view of one of the most breathtaking panoramic views you can find in the Smoky Mountains; putting on display the best that nature has to offer during each season. In addition, I have taken great care to present my cabin with a high level of care and comfort with a rustic yet modern décor at a high level of quality.
Riser's Ridge is also just a few doors down from our most recently purchased cabin, Days Go By. The close proximity of these cabins gives my guests a perfect opportunity to travel with other friends and family; each of you getting to enjoy your own private retreat, but be a short walking distance from reconnecting.
