About this property
Twin Bear I, A Cozy Cabin in the Woods, With Level 2 EV Charger!
Welcome to Twin Bear I, a cozy one bedroom, 1-1/2 bath cabin nestled on the side of Bluff Mountain, about 5 miles, or 12 minutes, from downtown Pigeon Forge, 6 miles (15 minutes) from The Island and 8 miles from Dollywood. It's located away from the high traffic areas, while still convenient to everything you would want to visit in the area. Completely renovated in 2021, this cabin offers all of the comforts of home in a unique setting. From mid-November through mid-January, the towns are decorated for Christmas, and so is Twin Bear I! Celebrate with a cozy fire while you enjoy our lights and decorations.
We have installed a Level 2, NEMA-14 220V, 50 amp Electric Vehicle Charging Outlet for the use of our guests while you're here! Please be sure to bring your travel charging cord if you'd like to use it.
As soon as you enter Twin Bear I, you'll be amazed at how spacious, beautiful and comfortable this cabin is. This is a true log cabin, with chinking between the logs inside and out, giving it a charm and character not found in every cabin. There is a cathedral ceiling in the living room, with large windows, giving the cabin an open, airy feeling.
The main floor has a living room with a stacked stone, wood burning fireplace, which is seasonally available and comfortable seating. Windows on either side of the fireplace bring lots of natural light into the cabin! Cable TV and WiFi are included. The kitchen was updated in the spring of 2021 and now has new granite countertops. It includes a refrigerator, full sized stove and microwave/stove hood combination, and is full of the dishes and cooking necessities to keep you happy through your stay. We even have a Tennessee cookbook, so if you want to try cooking some local specialties, you have a place to start! There's a dining table for 4, perfect for a quick breakfast or a lingering, romantic dinner. The full bath is on this floor, and includes a tub with integrated shower, along with a new, granite topped vanity. This cabin also has a washer/dryer, so if you want to do a quick load of laundry, it's very convenient. We do provide a couple of laundry pods, but if you're going to do a lot of laundry, you might want to bring more.
Upstairs, you'll find the loft bedroom with a cabin style log king sized bed, made up with luxurious linens and a warm quilt. There is a bright and cheery window, and the bench at the foot of the bed holds your luggage. Off the bedroom is a half bath, completely remodeled in the spring of 2021, with a new granite topped vanity and toilet, and soft towels. The bedroom is carpeted for warmth, and is open to the living room below.
We do have a new, state of the art water filtration system in this cabin, which assures you that you are drinking and bathing in the cleanest possible water, without any of the trace odors sometimes noted in country wells.
On the covered back deck you'll find seating, along with a private hot tub. We have placed a basket of towels near the hot tub for your enjoyment. It's very secluded and quiet, with a nice wooded view. Relax on the deck swing if you're not using the hot tub. In the side yard, you'll find a state park style charcoal grill and picnic area. A fire pit with Adirondack chairs completes your beautiful surroundings. We do try to keep firewood fully stocked. This picnic area is private, intended only for use by Twin Bear I. Whaley's is a small store down on Walden's Creek Road, just past the turn off to get here; they have some groceries, bundles of firewood, and are just a charming store!
If you like to ski, check out Ober Gatlinburg in downtown Gatlinburg! Cades Cove is about 30 miles away, so if you're a nature lover or like old historical places, it's a nice way to spend a day. It is an 11 mile loop through a well preserved old settlement, with log homes, barns, and churches, along with an abundance of wildlife. If you're a fisherman, the Pigeon River is about 20 minutes away, and the National Park is about 30 minutes away. Enjoy mountain air on an easy hike along Boulevard Trail or check out Rainbow Falls Trail and be rewarded with a remarkable view of the highest single-drop waterfall in the Smokies. The National Parks app will help you find trails if you're interested.
Some of the other many attractions include: Dollywood and The Island in Pigeon Forge, Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg, Tanger Outlet Mall, Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Walking the Gatlinburg strip is nice, especially during Tunes and Tales. The Biltmore House in Asheville is a fun day trip, as is Harrah's Casino in Cherokee.
This is a great cabin for a romantic getaway; there's lots to do in the area, and it's a nice spot if you just want a little down time. If you have a friend who would like to visit at the same time, Twin Bear II, VRBO # 2187893, is right next door. The listing is www.vrbo.com/2187893 With an easy walking path between the two, this is a fine place for friends to vacation together, while still retaining privacy. It was a great trip with my kids. The cabin was clean, it was perfect driving distance from the touristy locations. The instructions that were provided were clear.

I am delighted that your family enjoyed your visit! Thank you for staying here, and I hope you'll return.
Beautiful rustic cabin. The large hand hewn logs were beautiful. Very comfortable accommodations. A wonderful highlight of our stay, we saw a black bear one afternoon. The bear walked up the hill behind the cabin and circled around the edge of it. He looked at us like, do you have any scraps? We spoke softly towards him and he very gently walked across the street and into the woods. A beautiful creature to say the least. Overall our stay was perfect in every way.

Everything was nice and clean when we arrived. We loved reading through the guest book, and we especially loved the soaking in the hot tub and drying off in front of the fireplace. We had an amazing time!

I'm so happy that you enjoyed your visit! Thank you for sharing your pictures with me.
The Twin Bear 1 cabin was surprisingly a nice little cabin! We decided to stay here for our honeymoon. It was clean and supplied nearly everything you would need for a short trip. (Antibacterial soap, towels, wash cloths, toilet paper, 1 laundry pod, paper towels, napkins, a kitchen full of dishes, etc.) Because it was well-stocked, it made our trip much less anxiety ridden. This was my first stay in a cabin ever and the hot tub is most definitely the nicest feature of the cabin. The porch swing was also a great feature! The host answered all questions and inquiries in a timely manner and I would most definitely consider staying in this same cabin sometime in the near future!!!

I am pleased that you chose my cabin for your honeymoon, and delighted that you enjoyed your visit! Congratulations, I wish you happiness, and would be delighted to have you return.
What a fantastic cabin! We loved it. Just enough room for 2 people and we were provided items we didn’t even think of. The bed was also very comfortable (and I’m hard to please when it comes to mattresses). We didn’t need anything during our stay, but the host was very responsive whenever we messaged him. If you want a cozy getaway, far enough away from PF without being too far, this is your place. Best stay we’ve had through VRBO. THANK YOU!!

This place was the perfect home away from home! It was far enough from the main bustling of the city but close enough to go do everything, you would like to do! I would highly recommend to stay here!

I am happy that you enjoyed your visit. I will talk to my cleaner about offering a couple more K cups. There are usually coffee grounds in the cabinet with the sugar and other staples; I'm sorry you didn't find them.

Super comfortable bed! And a very quiet neighborhood. We absolutely loved the stay here. And we will be returning. Only con we had was the cleanliness, there was lots of spider webs the place needs a good dusting for sure
Cabin exactly as described and perfect for the two of us. Enjoyed being away from the main commercial parts but close enough to get to if you wanted. Hot tub and bed were awesome.

The Twin Bear 1 stay was excellent. The cabin and Hot tub was clean. They had stocked wood for the fireplace. The location was close to the busy part of Pigeon Forge for commuting but nice to be away from the busy town. We will stay there again.
