Great weekend getaway!
We had such a wonderful time staying here. Everything was clean and very comfortable and Connie was so nice and flexible with our group! Thank you for a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We definitely recommend this place!
We enjoyed our stay and loved the cabin! Connie is wonderful to work with as well! It’s a great location to ski Showdown or drive into White Sulphur to grab a bite to eat, etc.
What a lovely getaway. Cozy and cute! Everything was perfect!

Very wonderful place but the owner stopping by every day was a bit weird. Felt like I was being checked on the whole time. For what it cost and why I got it for piece and quite the intrusion was odd. Loved the place but feel like the property manager was over the top with piece of mind. The House was full like we booked, from 47 years to11. I really didn’t need a house babysitter

Sadly, we were tasked with having to prepare for an unexpected funeral service in the reception barn and chapel barn, which are located about 100 yards from the guest cabin. This preparation required a lot of cleaning and set up and although we tried to be quick and quiet, apparently the additional activity at the barns was viewed as invasive to our cabin guests, and for that, we apologize.
This cabin getaway was just what our tight knit group of friends needed. Plenty of space to relax indoors and out with nice hikes and downtown nearby. Cooking in the spacious kitchen was a dream. And Connie was easy to work with and very accommodating for our 2 year old daughter. We hope to be back again soon!
We loved this place! It’s gorgeous! However, I would say it sleeps 10 comfortably. The pullout sofa is not a comfortable option. We will definitely be back!
We loved staying at the ranch cabin. The skiing at Showdown was terrific and the property is perfect for a large group! The cabin was beautiful and is well-maintained. We hope to make it back again someday!!

Our Favorite Place to Stay
We come to the ranch every year sometimes just my wife and I or with family. Can not tell you how much we love this place. If you need to chill this is the place. You can not find any other place that is as quiet and beautiful surrounding plus some incredible fly fishing. Connie your host is the epitome of a Montana ranch family, friendly, accommodating and quickly you have a new friend. We stay at a lot of VRBO's and there is none better than this place. This is the place to truly experience eastern Montana.

Lovely Cabin on a Beautiful Ranch
The Townsend's cabin was a lovely home base for a ski weekend at Showdown. It had a huge kitchen which was great for cooking for a big group. They were having some issues with the new fireplace, but worked really hard to get it up and running for us. Overall, the hosts were very communicative and hands-on. The entrance to one of the rooms in the cabin is through another room, or from the outside (just something to consider, especially for a winter stay). But we loved the cabin and had a great experience!

Amazing!! Beautiful!! Peaceful !!!
This is a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful home! We have stayed here multiple times over the last years and ALWAYS had an amazing time. We stay at the house each year for the Red Ants Music festival and have our children, grandchildren and friends join us. The house is close to White Sulphur Springs but it's own world once you are there! Beautiful home, great pond for fishing and truly peaceful surroundings with wildlife (deer, badgers etc), pastures full of cows and fields of wild grasses and flowers. The Townsends (Connie and Will) have done a great job of creating a home that provides a sense of "on Walden Pond" in the West! As a special treat our aged English Mastiff comes along and truly feels she has found nirvana!
Connie is accommodating and when we are here we feel like we have "come home" and are among friends.

White Sulphur Springs rental house gem
We recently rented this house with four couples and 8 young kids and give it an enthusiastic double thumbs up! Excellent location and very cool house. We drove and hiked through the ranch which was beautiful - be sure to bring your binos to glass for elk, there are a lot around.
This is a new rental house and in great shape. The property is beyond tidy and well managed. There is open water very near the house (2 ponds and Willow Creek), to be aware of for fun and kid safety. What few small pieces of feedback we have (no microwave, no broom/dustpan, etc.), I'm sure will be taken care of quickly.
Will stopped by each day to make sure everything was in order and that we had what we needed. He was friendly, inviting and the kind of guy you want to rent a house from. We will certainly be returning.

Fun Weekend
We had 12 people in our party. We had dinner in Ringling then soaked in the natural hot springs in White Sulpher before retiring to the cabin. Pleanty of space and room for 12. I don't remember the last time I was in such a secluded spot where I could look over thousands of acres and not see another house. We are planning a snowmobile weekend in early 2016. We WILL be back! Thanks Townsend family for sharing your property with us. It made for the perfect weekend stay!

White Sulphur Springs Getaway
It's not a rustic cabin, but "glamour cabin" experience that is comfortable, affordable, and spacious! Our group of ten found this a place we want to visit again!
