Perfect Family Stay

From an entry with benches and hooks for outdoor gear for 10 or more to a generous kitchen and dining area (tho needing more wine glasses). This is a perfect setting for family meals and card playing. the view out of the living room is an ever changing nature scene we so enjoyed. Beds are comfortable and the second floor set up is good for separate activities if deisred.

This property is truly a gem and comfortable in every way. Our family filled the place, yet it didn’t feel crowded at all. The family room and kitchen were well stocked with games, comfortable seating, a huge table, plenty of dishes, pantry space for extra food and every window has an incredible view. Please note, there is no tub, but we made due to bathe the small children. Air conditioning was SO nice and the entry way was equipped with several lockers which was a pleasant surprise. Bathrooms were large and had lots of nice bath towels. Great place for your next family get together.

Overall our family’s stay was enjoyable. The property is very spacious with plenty of room for everyone without feeling crowded. The fireplace on the main floor was very nice and the views were amazing. While we knew the property did not have WiFi in advance, we did not realize how poor the cellular service would be just out of town. I would probably opt for a home that has WiFi if renting in WSS again Bedding was also in short supply. Specifically pillows. Each bed only had 1 or 2 pillows so if we needed to utilize the futons we would not have enough. It would be nice to have more pillows on the beds and perhaps in a closet for guests. Finally, there was trash left from previous renters that we had to take out when we arrived. Would give this place 5 stars if there were more pillows and WiFi .

Great location, beautiful views

We came from Missoula for a skip trip to Showdown and stayed at this property. We had a larger group so the size of this property was great for us. It also has mulitiple bedroom configurations that are helpful when you have multiple families and kids that may need different sleeping arrangements. The location of this property is great - we enjoyed both sunrises and sunsets from the deck through the large windows. It was a (pleasant) surprise to be situated next to a farm with lots of cows....made for great viewing and entertaiment. Across the street was another field with horses that grazed throughout the day. It's located just outside of town on a quiet road and we found it easy to pop into town for dinner or to the store. It's also located on the way to the ski hill, so we appreciated the ease of getting there in time for opening. A few things I wish I had known prior to arriving:- The layout of the property is not what we expected with the kitchen being on the ground level and all the bedrooms upstairs - not a bad thing - just not what we anticipated based on the pictures and description.- The primary bedroom is on the ground level and is the most spacious with en suite bathroom; the rest of the bedrooms are upstairs and vary greatly in size. Two of the rooms are on the smaller size and the other two are quite large - again, not bad, just not what we expected. There's one bathroom upstairs which did start to feel crowded with the number of people up there, but we just used the main level bathroom as well and it wasn't an issue.- The windows are large and have beautiful views, but do not have shades or curtains which can make it feel like a fishbowl at night. - Would be nice to have access to the garage for parking in the winterOverall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It worked well for our group and for skiing at Showdown. We would definitely recommend this property to others coming to White Sulpher!
