The house is situated in Trecastagni inside of the Etna Park in a strategic place, in the province of Catania, which allows you to easily reach both the sea and the mountains, a few kilometers from the highway connecting the most important cities of Sicily.
At about 7 km away is the baroque town of Acireale, famous for its thermal baths, for the most beautiful Carnival in Sicily 's work Puppet and its delicious ices and ice cream. There are many places where you can enjoy full sea acese: S. Maria la Scala, S Tecla, Stazzo, Pozzillo, Capomulini Acitrezza and for those who want to enjoy the true basalt cliffs on the beautiful and teeming with fish described by Verga.
For those who love the mountains, is a 20-minute drive to reach the Silvestri craters, ancient lava flows, the woods, the trails of the National Park and, in winter, the ski resorts. It is always exciting to explore the 'Etna because it offers a great variety of landscapes and lends itself to various types of excursions.
From 'highway, about 40 minutes drive you will reach the most important tourist attraction in eastern Sicily, Taormina, obligatory destination for tourists from all over the world for its beauty and for its beautiful beaches, in fact it is considered the pearl of the Ionian .
For those who enjoy cultural excursions are particularly interesting also the neighboring cities of Catania, Syracuse, Messina, etc..

Nice place with friendly host

The place was spacious with several nice bedrooms, a kitchen, washing room, living room and two nice outdoor areas: The garden in the back and the patio in front. The host, Elio, was friendly and helpful. There might have been better information about the dog, Lampo. He was very friendly and it worked well for us but if you are allergic or afraid of dogs, it would be nice to know before you book. The place is well situated for day trips to Etna and several nice towns in the area. In all, we had a pleasant stay!

Wonderful Mountain Location

We so enjoyed our stay at Casa Clo! Elio + Katarina are the most gracious hosts. Offering recommendations daily and even driving us around the local town to help get our bearings. We even visited, Acireale, where Elio was born on his rec and loved it! The house is up a steep drive way but was great for our family of 4. great location for day trip to Mt. Etna, Taormina, and other coastal and mountain towns. My boys loved looking for all the turtles they have amongst the gardens too. And there's a great view for sunrise...if you are up that early! Dont miss the wineries either. Gamibinos was great! So grateful for our time near Mt. Etna and hope to be back one day soon.

Very disappointed

We arrived to find the whole of one side of the house covered in scaffolding with workers drilling the wall. The owner asked if this was ok? This was to go on for the whole of our stay. What was he thinking? How could he let the place knowing this? The house was cold when we arrived- we had to ask for the heating to be put on. When it was on, the noise from the boiler (just outside the window of the second bedroom!) pervaded the house. The bedroom was unusable because of this. Tried the single beds, they were like wooden boards! The view from the main bedroom was covered in scaffolding, and the second bedroom had a giant boiler and lots of rubbish directly outside. The washing machine didn’t work. Also one would have thought a place of this size would have had a dishwasher; it didn’t. The accommodation was described as a house. It was an apartment with the owner living upstairs. The single shower was like a broom cupboard with no room to swing a cat.

Maison très chaleureuse

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux. La maison est idéalement située entre mer et volcan. De plus elle est équipée de tous ce dont on peut avoir besoin, des plats au grille pain. Elio a été un hôte parfait pour des conseils ou des réservations nous qui ne parlions pas bien l'italien. Je vous recommande vivement cette maison pour un séjour au calme en sicile.

On a passé de belle vacances dans cette maison, même s’il faut utiliser la voiture pour tous les déplacements. Le propriétaire qui habite sur place est très disponible avec son sympathique chien.

A beautiful retreat!

Casa Clò was a lovely place to stay for our trip to Sicily—it was spacious, well-equipped with everything we needed (glasses, plates, kitchen tools, AC, not 1 but 2 outdoor areas), and exactly as described. Elio and his wife were also very kind and welcoming hosts and gave us great recommendations for everything to do, see, and eat in the area! I can't recommend their place enough

Echt italienisch urig

Ein echt italienisches Erlebnis - dank des sympathischen, umsorgenden Vermieters, der über der Wohnung wohnt. Elio ist respektvoll zurückhaltend, aber stets verfügbar für hilfreiche Tipps und Hilfe! Man fühlt sich von den Vermietern nie gestört, auch nicht vom lieben, gut erzogenen Hund Lampo. Wer ein gutes Bett/ eine gute Matratze benötigt, wird Schwierigkeiten haben (Stand Okt 2020), und der Küchen- und Wohnbereich ist tagsüber recht dunkel. Wer aber ein uriges Idyll in ruhiger Umgebung, mit rumorendem Ätna in der Ferne und Entspannung in einem wunderschönen Gärtchen mit Gemüse, Obst und Kräutern sucht, kommt in diesem Domizil ganz auf seine Kosten! Es sind zwei Terrassen, eine mit Sitzgelegenheit und Schaukel hinten und eine mit Hollywood-Schaukel und Meerblick in der Ferne vorne.

Bellissimo posto, la casa è comodissima, il proprietario e una persona meravigliosa.

La casa emersa nel verde e completa di tutto quello che po' servire in vacanza. il posto tranquillo e piacevole. Elio, proprietario della casa sempre presente e pronto dare consigli utili. Lampo è stupendo! Ha trattato la nostra principessa - chihuahuaetta con una estrema delicatezza 😊😊😂. Consigliatissimo!!!

We loved it

A large quiet older home.Very clean in the countryside of Mt Etna. Has a beautiful garden which was really appreciated. It was wonderful sitting and dining outside. The terrace is a plus. Nice Place, but not what we expected

The flat was large and nice, but it was a flat and not a house as claimed in the advert. This should have been told beforehand, also that you don't live there on your own, but the landlords live above. Secondly there should have been information about Lampo, the rather large dog that lives there and always comes when you want to sit on the terrace. He was a very friendy and cute dog, but anyways, it might be disturbing not to know. Apart from those two points, Elio was very nice and attentive. It was a nice stay and we enjoyed it very much.

Maison dans laquelle on se sent bien, l’acceuil d’Elio est parfait, plein de petites attentions ( fruits, eau et jus de fruits au frais), un petit bouquet de roses fraîches qui nous fait nous sentir chez nous. L’emplacement permet de visiter sans faire trop de route. Le jardin est agréable. Les enfants ont adoré le chien.Séjour parfait chez Élio.

Beautiful place!

We had a wonderful stay at Elio and Eleonora's house. The house is easy to find, clean, really nice and cosy, very practical also. All around, the landscape is beautiful ! Elio was very welcoming and gave us clues to reach nice spots on Etna. Landscapes on Etna are amazing. We really enjoyed our stay !

casa accogliente così come il proprietario

Io e la mia famiglia, abbiamo soggiornato qui per due settimane ad Agosto. Ci siamo trovati benissimo, la casa è in alto, in una zona molto tranquilla e fresca. Il proprietario, Elio, è una persona cordiale e super disponibile, tanto che una sera ci ha persino offerto la cena :) Ogni volta che tornavamo a casa, inoltre, trovavamo un amico quattro zampe, Lampo, ad accoglierci. Ci siamo trovati bene, per soggiornare con la famiglia è perfetta.

Spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, well-located.

The accommodation is very spacious - 2 doubles & a twin, a large kitchen/diner, separate living room, plenty of outside space. It's absurdly well-equipped, clean, tidy, and comfortable enough. Our host (Elio) who lives upstairs was extremely pleasant, helpful and generous. His new dog (June 2017) "Lampo" is quite large & lively, but actually a really nice animal who's starting to train up well! The house is at the end of a dead-end road, so zero traffic, which is nice. A couple of km to nearest shops, which was fine for us as we had a hire car. A short distance away is Azienda Blandano, from which you can purchase good, cheap wine :-) We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, exploring Mount Etna & area, and would happily return. Charme, calme et gentillesse

La maison est grande, spacieuse, hyperfonctionnelle, au calme avec une grande terrasse pour manger à l'extérieur; Les 3 chambres sont très grandes. On a pu profiter du jardin et du citronnier, oranger et plantes aromatiques pour la cuisine. Elio, le propriétaire est très sympa et sa sauce tomate est à tomber. Les enfants comme les adultes ont apprécié On recommande ++

séjour du 3 au 13/08/2016, lieu très agréable, spacieux, bon accueil

la maison est sur deux étages : à l'étage vit Elio le propriétaire qui s'est montré agréable, accueillant, discret et disponible (il parle italien et anglais). Nous disposions du rez de chaussée avec deux grandes terrasses dont une avec BBQ. Le jardin est bien entretenue. Le logement comporte trois chambres (2 avec un lit pour deux personnes, 1 avec deux lits pour une personne). A l'entrée: un grand salon. Puis couloir avec chambres. Ensuite, cuisine ouverte sur coin repas et salon avec deux canapés. Il y a deux salles de bain : une avec wc et lavabo + bidet et une autre avec wc, douche et baignoire. Le logement est spacieux : un havre de fraicheur et de tranquilité. Des denrées alimentaires basiques sont à disposition ainsi que des produits d'entretien (lave-linge), des jeux pour les enfants, de la documentation sur les sites à visiter. Pour faire les courses, le village de Trécastagni est à environ 7 mn de voiture (très pratique, bon produit, prix très corrects). Quelques indications de temps de trajet : Pour les plages, les distances varient selon le lieu où l'on souhaite aller (au minimum compter environ 30 mn en aout avec la circulation). L'Etna (sud) environ 35 mn. Syracuse 1h. Taormine environ 50 mn. Catane 40 mn environ. Je recommande cet endroit qui nous a permis de nous reposez, au calme, à la fraicheur et loin de la foule. Наш волшебный отдых в волшебном месте!

Отдыхали в этом месте две недели. Мы в полном восторге! Дом идеально подходит для семей с детьми (или даже для нескольких семей). Немного о доме: просторный зал с камином, три большие спальни, укомплектованная кухня с обеденной зоной, дом полностью укомплектован для длительного проживания, за две недели я ни разу не подумала , что чего-то не хватает. Также порадовал отличный wi-fi (что для нас было очень важно), идеальная чистота, очень уютно и по-домашнему. Дом утопает в зелени, у дома свой фруктовый сад с качелями и двумя... черепахами!!!))) Оценка дому: 5+ баллов из 5 возможных))) Теперь о местности: нас порадовала близость к морю (10-15 минут), и близлежащим маленьким городкам, в которых мы гуляли вечерами. Два раза ездили на Этну (20-25 минут), впечатления непередаваемые, нереально круто!!! Мы влюбились в Сицилию, в местных жителей, и в наш уютный дом! Мы много путешествуем, и нам есть, с чем сравнить! Это место, куда хочется вернуться. Мы давно не получали столько головокружительных эмоций от отдыха! Мы обязательно приедем сюда снова и снова!!! P.s. Огромное спасибо нашему хозяину, помогал нам в любых вопросах. До новых встреч!)))

Geweldig huis voor rustzoekers

Prachtig huis met mooie en gezellige inrichting. Rustig gelegen en heel mooie tuin met mooi uitzicht op de zee. Alles klopte met de info en foto's op de internetsite. De eigenaar is fantastisch en behulpzaam, geassisteerd door zijn lieve boxer. We bevelen dit huis aan en gaan er graag nog een keer naar toe.

Perfect villa for a lovely holiday

This house is situated on a hill with lovely views of the country side surronding the area . Very nice to stay in and very peaceful , the house is fully equipped inside and outside with all you need to cook and relax outside in the sun . Will definitely stay again in this villa . Last but not least the owners are very nice and very helpful .would recommend to everyone to stay in this villa . Robert
