San Teodoro: House / Villa - San teodoro House with garden

I thank Kathryn for her nice review, happy that she had a nice holiday with her family in my home. The water problem that Kathryn spoke about concerns a reduction in the pressure of the mains water in the area where the house is located, which is at a higher altitude than the center of the country and due to the increase in users during the period of greater tourist crowding. This problem came as a surprise to us as it had not occurred for at least 15 years, so it is not usual. In any case, the house is equipped with a large tank so is easy immediately remedy the problem by calling a tanker from the water company and filling it with water to give total autonomy to the occupants of the house until the moment in which normal water pressure in the network will be restored (as we did during Kathryn's stay :) ).Regarding the toilet flush, at the moment, it recharges in a time between 5 and ten minutes, but during the winter we will do short jobs that will make the system more efficient and therefore faster.

I am happy that my guests appreciated and enjoyed the location of the house, its panoramic view and its proximity to the sea and the village. I am very sorry that I did not notice the broken objects that the kind Carry pointed out to me, to whom I apologize for the inconvenience. I will do a detailed check in these same days, renewing the damaged utensils.

Check-in occasionally not carried out by the owner and house amenities present as described in the ad. I am very sorry that I was only able to view this review now, probably due to some technical problem. I am incredibly sorry to learn that my guests were not well received by the person I exceptionally turned to last year to do the check-in due to my personal impediments. This person no longer works for me anyway. Regarding the remaining review of the house, I am happy that the guests liked the position and the view of the house, but I have to disagree with what they report on the amenities of the house, as kitchen utensils (such as plates, pots, cutlery, cups and glasses) are present in abundance for the number of people that the house can accommodate (5 people) and always sufficient for all guests welcomed. I will certainly provide some oven gloves, probably the only piece of equipment missing in the kitchen. Regarding kitchen towels, two are always given, one left on the kitchen counter and the other kept in a drawer. I don't know if exceptionally the cleaning lady may have forgotten to leave the second towel. In any case, in the description of the announcement all the amenities present in the house are faithfully indicated. The living room sofa is a classic rustic beach house sofa. I understand that its comfort is subjective but I have never had any other complaints. Regarding the internet line, this has always worked optimally even for people who did smart working during the holidays. If this couple had line problems they should have reported it to me and I would have sent a technician to check promptly. Overall, however, the house is a simple beach house faithfully described by the photos and what is reported in the advertisement, with its main advantages represented by the position and exceptional sea view and the large courtyard available. Those who choose it do so because they above all appreciate these aspects in a holiday home; those who want particular comforts should look for other types of houses that report these comforts in the description and photos. For this reason, I believe that giving one star for the reasons indicated absolutely does not give a faithful idea of the house, as can be understood from the remaining excellent reviews, a house that has everything that is described in the advert and shown in the photos. I therefore believe that this review was more of a reaction to the rude check-in of my ex-collaborator, for which I apologize again on her behalf, having only become aware of it now. This incident relating to my former collaborator was totally isolated having previously always received excellent reviews for my personal welcome of guests.

I am happy that another guest had a peaceful stay and was able to enjoy the excellent view and location of my home and I also take your review as an opportunity to improve. However, some details reported do not correspond to the truth or are difficult to understand (perhaps a translation problem :) ). Our house was built in 1972 by my grandfather and I have been managing it for about ten years. In this period we have completely restructured the garden, renewed the electrical system, renewed the autoclave and other hydraulic parts, updated the furniture in the sleeping area. The bathroom and plumbing remain the original ones for the time being, with pipes of limited diameter which, although fully functional, imply a slower outflow of water. Using water at not excessive pressures the problem does not arise. As for the rest: The refrigerator does not have any broken handles, it is a built-in fridge bought only 2 years ago, whose door cannot be connected to the cabinet that contains it because otherwise it would not close properly and therefore would not cool. So the fridge opens like most built-in fridges, from the edge of the door. The shutters in the house can lock when open but I probably should have explained to my host how to do it. The chandeliers are normal and standard, they are placed very high in the ceiling so the shades are not needed as maybe in a wall mounted ceiling light :). Finally, I don't understand the last part of the review, probably distorted by the translator: in the bathroom there is no grill with rubbish of course! It is always cleaned to perfection by my trusted collaborator and we apply strict cleaning and disinfection standards as anyone will notice. I didn't pay attention to the loose screws in the windows! We will definitely check :). The kitchen utensils are replenished every now and then and it will not be a problem to renew them in a more concrete way. In any case, I conclude by recalling that the photos give a picture of the house that perfectly adheres to reality, so anyone who does not like a vintage bathroom has the option of choosing another type of more recent structure when booking ;) and in any case we will also be renovating shortly that.

I am happy that my courteous and friendly guests have appreciated the privacy of the neighborhood and enjoyed a relaxing stay in my house and in the panoramic hill of Cala d'ambra. Every year we make some improvements to the home and surely, even taking the suggestion of this review, within the next year we will renew the bathroom in order to make it more comfortable and functional through first of all an adjustable shower column. It is our constant concern to maximize the comfort of the stay for our guests and make the functionality of the house, already very good, perfectly at the height of its wanderful view!

I am happy that the stay in my house has allowed my guests to spend a rewarding and shareable beach vacation with their four-legged friend. I thank them in particular for having reported the beautiful and nearby Fido beach (with turquoise water and white sand like the others in the area) where bathing is also allowed for dogs, valuable information for animal lovers traveling with their faithful friends!

I am very happy to hear that another of my guests has spent a peaceful, relaxing and fun holiday in my house, fully enjoying of its spaces and its sea view, in contact with the beautiful nature of San Teodoro. It is a great satisfaction for an owner! As for the beds of the house these has been chosen taking into account the prevailing liking of people for solutions that give good support: nets with wooden slats and medium-hard mattresses. Many of my guests like this choice, telling me about the excellent quality of their sleep in my home. But clearly it is a matter of taste. I will take into account the opinion of my kind last host to evaluate the purchase of softer mattresses to provide as spare mattresses to those who may prefer this type of bed.
