THE WORKSHOP OF THE PAINTER

Located in a small rural village, away from the tourist invasion, nestled in a park of 8000 m. c. lulled by birdsong, the "Atelier du Peintre" enjoys absolute tranquility and a 180 ° view over the beautiful undulating countryside.
This bright and charming apartment of 95 m. c. was formerly a painter's workshop. Carefully renovated it includes a fully equipped kitchen decorated with beautiful tiles with dishwasher, ceramic hob, extractor, microwave oven and grill, etc..Une room with 2 beds or 1 double bed, a large living area with double bedroom which becomes autonomous room as soon as the sound insulating drapes are closed (see photos), a small TV lounge, a bathroom with shower and washing machine. You can relax or dine in the garden with gazebo is you réservé.2 chairs are available and also a barbecue
The bed speak fluent French, English, Italian and Portuguese.
They live on site and will be delighted to help you spend an unforgettable holiday.
Quiet village where you will spend occasionally a shepherd with his goats or sheep.
No pool here: the ocean is 10 minutes drive! Many beaches very close, the wildest to the most family monitored. Close to a thousand centers of interest: the charming village of Obidos, Sao Martinho do Porto, Peniche and Nazaré -the paradise surfers-, the Monasteries of Alcobaça, Tomar and Bathalha, superb Berlengas islands. Less than 1 hour from Lisbon, Fronteira Palace and Queluz, Sintra and Mafra.
The car is necessary but locaions are very cheap in Portugal.
We recommend you rent at the airport.
Bombarral (nearby town), express bus to Lisbon (45 min).

Dream destination

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful area you are right at this place. The lovely appartment is well equipped and only be topped by the wonderful host Fabienne. To be recommended at any time.

Beautiful house/garden in very calm environment

We've very much enjoyed our stay in Portugal. We've started in Lissabon and spent the rest of our holiday in 'L'atelier du Peintre'. What a lovely house with a beautiful view. Very nice job, you've done, Fabienne, with the renovation of the house. Everything you need is there, very clean. And the garden!!! Beautiful!! We were there in juin, so all the flowers were blooming. Fabienne gave us a warm welcome and gave us a lot of information about the region; where we can find musea, a good restaurant, nice beaches ( there are a lot!) and the most beautiful village of Portugal:-) Obidos. There is so much to do and to see in this area, that we didn't have time to see/do it all, so we will have to come back:-) thank you for your hospitality Fabienne, au revoir!

Country appreciated for the variety of its beaches, from those monitored for families, to those so wild for great surf, with the famous spots of PENICHE and NAZARE. In Nazaré Garret MacNamara surfed the biggest wave in Europe (30 m) on winter 2013.
