About this property

A little piece of paradise in the beautiful Blackdown Hills of Devon

Stunning views over the beautiful Otter Valley in the heart of the Blackdown Hills, AONB. Otter Rise is a pretty, detached, single storey cottage with large, private gardens. Tastefully furnished to a high standard.

Otter Rise is the perfect escape for couples for a romantic break or for families with children. We are happy to provide a travel cot with bedding and a high chair for the small people for no extra charge.
For wheelchair users or those with mobility restrictions, the accommodation has 4 steps up to the front door, but once inside everything is all on one level and easily accessible. We can offer bathroom aids and use of a wheelchair if required, please notify us on booking of any equipment you would like.

Guests have sole use of the mostly level, lawned garden area which is enclosed by hedging and a low wall. There is plenty of play equipment to keep the young at heart occupied, sun loungers for the sun worshippers and an outside seating and dining area with extensive views along the beautiful Otter Valley.

There are many lovely walks straight from the cottage door, will you wander down to the river to play 'Pooh sticks' or explore the ancient hidden by-ways and woodland? Or maybe you'll opt for a day at the beach, we have plenty to choose from and all a short drive from the door. For those hankering for the city lights we have those too, within just an hours drive.

There are two bedrooms, one of which can be made up with two single beds or a king size bed; a family bathroom; main bedroom has an en-suite shower room; open plan kitchen/living area with cosy woodburner stove. The fire will be made up for you on arrival and we supply your first basket of logs.
