About this property

Villas Mina complex is located in the area of Gennadi, very near to the sea, it has its’ own private pool and offers you the most quiet and pleasant holidays in Rhodes Island. The properties are fully air-conditioned with high quality furnishing. The main villa hosts up to 5 people and the second villa hosts up to 4 so in total up to 9 people.
There is a spacious air-conditioned living room with a separate lounge area. There is also a dinning area, a smartTV, as well as a comfortable setting for leisure time in front of the fireplace. Outside, the veranda is equipped with lounge furniture overlooking the pool and the garden. The elegant and modern outdoor furniture will provide you with the ultimate sense of comfort. Outside you will also find a large private pool with sun beds and parasols, a large BBQ facility with all the necessary equipment .
There are two comfortable, fully furnished and air-conditioned bedrooms, we call them “Heaven” and “Ocean”. The “Heaven” features a king-size bed and is decorated in white and blue colors to add an appeal of tradition to a rejuvenating experience. The “Ocean” bedroom has two single beds and is decorated in white and brown colors to create a cozy, homier atmosphere through earth tones. The bathroom is a full suite with bath/shower, wc, wash basin and there is also a hair dryer and a mirror. It also features a sink, a shiny porcelain toilet and a boudoir with a wall mirror, decorated with modern blue and white colors providing an elegant, contemporary aesthetic.
Mina’s Villa has a spacious open-plan kitchen with natural light pouring in from the windows. Doors will lead you to the front of the pool terrace for the ultimate alfresco dining experience. The kitchens are fully equipped with oven hob and extractor hood, microwave, refrigerator-freezer, washing machine, coffee maker and all the kitchenware needed for you to prepare and enjoy meals.
Next to the main villa there is an annex building with two bedrooms, separate entrance for each bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and a large sharing veranda. The 1st bedroom has a double bed and the 2nd has twin beds, Wi-Fi, mini fridge and en-suite bathroom with shower.
A large private pool with sun beds and parasols, a large BBQ facility with all the necessary equipment, a small football field is some of the services that we provide to our customers.

Villa was nice enough but needed some updates, was in a quiet location but a car is advised as the nearest supermarket is a 15 walk and the nearest restaurants are between 5-15 minutes, nearest towns had to be done by car/bus. Two or three times we needed to contact the property manager regarding the pool which needed a good clean and general repairs to things in the villa. The garden was in a poor condition and wasn’t cut until our 2nd to last day. With a little cash injection this villa( two separate bungalows) could be really nice.

Good in parts

Firstly, this is not one villa. The main building is a villa which sleeps 4 and adjacent is a building with two bedrooms each with its own bathroom which sleeps another 4 in one double bedroom and one with twin beds. We had no complaints about the interior of the buildings. They were cleaned to a good standard and were very comfortably furnished and well equipped with air conditioning in every room. We were met on the day by the property manager who gave us a thorough introduction to the property and much information about the local area. There was also a welcoming bowl of fruit, biscuits and bottle of wine. We contacted her on a couple of occasions during our ten day stay and she was very responsive. We disagree with the French family in their post. We experienced no unpleasant smells and although there is a road, it is a hundred metres away and certainly did not create any noise sufficient to disturb or annoy. At night there was barely any traffic on it. Our main complaint about the property is the outside. The two buildings are part of a complex of four buildings. A villa which is the mirror image of the one with two bedrooms is locked up and neglected. There is also a curious building which we are told may once have been a bar. Behind that is a building which is unfinished. When we arrived, the surroundings were in a poor state. The grass, such as it was, had clearly not been cut for some time. There were weeds growing up between the flag stones of the drive and the surrounds of the pool. It gave a very poor first impression. The manager was apologetic and the next day a "gardener" cut the grass and removed the weeds. The "lawn" clearly had not been watered for some time, although it had sprinklers. These were turned on once. Nothing was done with the area to the rear of the property and behind the unused villa were plants were growing in what once had been a loose stone area. The neglected buildings gave a slightly run down feel to half of the property. Be aware that the pool is not suitable for very young children. It has a uniform depth of well over a metre but is lovely to swim in and for water proficient children. We had a good stay here. This feels like a complex which was once thriving and has been allowed to deteriorate apart from the two buildings we used. With a not very great deal of capital and a competent gardener, this could be a very good property indeed.

Grosse déception !!

Nous avions réservé 8 nuits et en avons fait que 3 ! Après 3 nuits catastrophiques à cause de l'horrible qualité des matelas et un dos en mauvais état, sans parler du bruit infernal de la route à fort passage à proximité, nous avons décidé de quitter cette maison. Mais commençons par les points positifs: la piscine, le séjour et la cuisine. Sans oublier l'accueil sympa. Et maintenant les points négatifs. Le descriptif donné est extrêmement élogieux : luxe, calme, confort... Malheureusement rien de cela n'est vrai ! Les deux chambres sont minuscules, à peine 10m2, le mobilier est extrêmement "cheap" et en mauvais état (un sommier était cassé à notre arrivée). La salle de bain était tout simplement insalubre: inondation de la salle de bain lorsqu'on se douchait, avec une odeur d'oeuf pourri (notre fille de 8 ans n'a pas osé se doucher une seule fois), cheveux sur le sol et dans la baignoire à notre arrivée... La route à proximité est une route à fort passage et on l'entend toute la nuit. Comme elle est en ligne droite, les véhicules y circulent très vite (100 km/h), ce qui donne un peu l'impression de dormir au bord l'autoroute. Après une horrible première nuit, nous avons pu récupérer un autre matelas dans la maison voisine. C'était un peu mieux mais cela est resté totalement insuffisant. Quant au prix, il faut savoir que le prix est le même pour 1 maison pour 3 ou 4 personnes que pour 2 maisons pour 8 ou 9 personnes. Etrange ! Et cher pour une famille de trois personnes comme la nôtre. Pour deux ou trois fois moins cher on est dans un 5 étoiles all inclusive beaucoup plus confortable.

Well equipped house in lovely quiet location

We stayed in July 2018 as a family of 6. The location is very peaceful and is still within walking distance of plenty of restaurants (even for our 5 year old) and well stocked supermarket and butcher's shop which as great as we didn't hire a car The house is very well equipped and well looked after and we loved the pool. The addition of the smaller house with its two self contained units was excellent for our oldest teenager and my mother as they had their own space We encountered a couple of small issues while we were there but Ourania from Rhodes Holiday Villas was excellent and on hand very quickly to assist. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend for family stays
