Situated right on Lake Lytle and just a five-minute walk from the ocean, this private, forested Rockaway Beach vacation home offers the best of both worlds: a bucolic lakeside setting with picture-perfect views and nearby access to a popular ocean beach!

This well appointed two-bedroom home is located just east of the Oregon Coast Highway, in the northern reaches of Rockaway Beach. The quaint downtown area of Rockaway Beach is just three minutes away, and you're within easy access to other nearby beach towns, with their unique shops and restaurants.

This getaway has a cute, rustic-chic feel, with a vaulted, exposed timber ceiling, wood floors, and lots of pine accents throughout. A large, covered front porch offers front-and-center views of Lake Lytle, and the home's open living area features a wall of picture windows for viewing the lake. The living room offers plenty of comfy seating from which to gaze out the windows, enjoy the heat from the wood stove, or watch movies on the flatscreen TV. (DVD player, DirecTV, and WiFi are included.)

The adorable woodland kitchen boasts lake views and all the equipment you might need to whip up your favorite meals. For mealtimes, there's seating for six indoors and additional seating for four on the from porch, where you'll also find a gas barbecue for your grilling needs.

With two bedrooms (offering a king-size bed, a queen-size bed, and twin bunks), a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and one bathroom, this home can comfortably sleep up to eight (six adults). Pets aren't allowed, but kids are welcome! A Pack n' Play is available on-site, as well as a selection of games for all ages. The cottage-style bedrooms feature lovely quilts, the bathroom includes a shower and a washer and dryer mean you can keep packing light.

Bring your paddle board and swimsuit for the lake! Two beach chairs are provided. When you've had enough lake fun, walk to the ocean beach in just five minutes. Tillamook's Alderwood Golf Course and famous Tillamook Cheese Factory are just 20 minutes to the south, and the magical seaside village of Manzanita, with its quirky shops and great surfing, is just 20 minutes north.

Whether you spend your Rockaway Beach vacation tucked in the living room, taking in the lake scene with a cup of tea, or exploring the surrounding beaches and sights, this Northern Oregon Coast retreat is the perfect spot of your next ocean getaway!

Beautiful

This home is in a great location for easy travel to so many hiking trails and other activities. The home has everything you need, comfortable, and a beautiful view. It’s also within walking distance to the beach for stunning sunsets! Would absolutely stay again.

Great location

Was super close to the lake. And quick walk to the beach. It's on the outside of the town crowd. Semi busy road though but still a great stay.

Unfortunately the bedrooms were missing window coverings. At night I could see straight into another homes window from the primary bedroom offering no privacy. Additionally, there was no way to dim the morning sun coming in for those wanting to sleep in. We also noticed ants in the kitchen every day and there were some kitchen basics that were just missing making it difficult for us to save any leftovers of food we prepared. A few food storage containers with lids or at minimum some foil/plastic wrap available would be very helpful. We ended up buying some and left it for the next person. The first person who took a shower had the hot water run out after about 5min. We hadn't been running laundry or dishes and it scared most everyone else away from trying to shower. Despite all of that we still had a wonderful time as a family. On the positive note the beds were comfy, I loved the wood burning stove and we had a beautiful view of the lake.
Beautiful sunset on the lake.

Beautiful view

This was a beautiful view of the lake. Very clean unit. We have two kids so the bunk bed and full bed were perfect. The kitchen had everything we wanted. If the weather had been nicer we could also have used the nice picnic table out front. It’s accessible to the road but quiet as well.

Such a great beach cabin!!!

We had absolutely the best relaxing vacation at this cozy Rockaway beach cabin. We have rented a lot of houses as a family with kids and this is the best by a long shot!! Right on a lake, unbelievable views, beach is a short 2 minute walk away, downtown Rockaway is a minute walk. Well stocked home, very company beds, plenty of seating, kayak and more. Don’t pass this place up!!!

A memorable stay

Loved the location and the view. Stated here for two nights with a group of seven, and the cabin had enough space for a peaceful stay. Check it and check out was very easy, and the cabin was very tidy and clean. The only disappointment was the provided basic supplies. There was no coffee provided, and we could only find one small roll of paper towels that were all used in the first day. We had to run to the nearby store to buy those. Also, couldn't find any band-aid in the emergency aid box to treat a cut on finger.

Amazing View!!

Such a beautiful home. It has everything u need to cook. Just bring your own groceries and seasonings. It is a small town so there no huge grocery store or anything exept Dollar General. Tillamook is just 10 minutes away and has EVERYTHING you need. (Fred Myers, Goodwill, Denny's, ect.) We had dinner at the Tora Sushi Lounge in Tillamook. It was AMAZING! The house has a kayak, beach toys, and even a beach tent which was very nice. The washing machines worked great but bring your own detergent. They only stock enough for 3 loads. The house is very clean. I did notice some hairs and stains in the master bed and felt like maybe the sheets were not washed from the previous people! I ended up stripping all the beds and washing everything before our first sleep in the house with my little ones. I feel like everyone should just wash the sheets in any beach house they rent. I heard some raunchy stories of what some house keepers do. It wasnt a big deal for me to wash everything first because everything else was just perfect for us. There is a road right in front of the house between the lake. Cars do drive my fast there so watch out for your kids! My children almost ran out in front of a car. Anywho, definitely worth staying here. The house has a warm cozy feeling and the fireplace works great. We had it go iij ng every night. Mornings on the porch and watching the ducks wlwith my morning tea was just amazing.

Hello Vera, We apologize the master bed duvet was not at the high standard cleanliness we hold ourselves too. Our local management team has replaced it. We do hope you will allow us to host you again in the future.

Comfy and Cozy

Our family loved staying in this nicely decorated home. The view of the lake was spectacular and we enjoyed the short walk to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was fun having a fire in the wood stove.

Nice cabin with great view and location

We used this cabin as our base for exploring the coast. Kayaking in Garibaldi, hiking in Manzanita, paddle boarding in Cannon Beach and eating great food at all points. This nice, quiet and clean cabin was a great home base.

Lake Lytle Lookout

The cabin felt immediately cozy on arrival for our family of four. It is very tastefully appointed and had all the expected amenities. Of note, the home is about 1/2 block from the Hwy 101 with road noise audible from the deck. Also there is a public road between the house and the lake; it was not very busy though different than I'd expected from my interpretation of the photos. The road noise was not significant though may be a factor if you're looking for ultra serenity. We enjoyed our stay very much and especially the lake views out the large windows.

Great location and view!

Our stay at Lake Lytle Lookout was perfect for our small (3 person) family. Excellent location with easy access to the lake dock (just across the street) to launch our Kayaks. The beach was under a 5 min walk away and we loved waking up each morning to the stunning lake view to enjoy a cup of coffee on the front deck! Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend getaway within a 1.75 hour drive of Portland. We would definitely book again and recommend this property.

It's a cute little cabin!

We enjoyed our stay at Lake Lytle Lookout. It's a cute and cozy cabin. Love the bathroom remodel! It's great! There were 5 of us so the house fit us perfectly. Loved the view and it is seriously less than a 5 minute walk to the beach...Can't beat it! A couple of things. When we rent homes, we do it with the intent to cook. I LOVED how stocked the kitchen was. You even have a crockpot!! LOVE! However, there was no cabinet space for food storage, which was a bit disappointing. The stove top burners worked great. The oven, not so much. Our first morning there we made coffee cake. It took twice as long to cook and we had to crank the oven up to 500. We also couldn't find the remote to the dvd player while we were there. We notified Vacasa and they sent their maintenance guy out quickly, but all he did was come in, look around the T.V. and confirmed that indeed, the remote was missing. We never did receive a new one during our stay. Lastly, one of the bunks wasn't completely made when we got there. I was a bit disappointed in that. There is a ton of bedding and towels for that matter, but the bedding was just folded and left on the bed. I expect more when paying for a service. Overall Lake Lytle Lookout is a cute little home and I really appreciated how affordable it was. It allowed us to have fun without breaking the bank. I would recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Rockaway Beach area.

Beautiful lake and ocean views

This was a wonderful little house on Lake Lytle only 1.5 blocks from the ocean. The kitchen is well-stocked and the house is spotless. The wood stove is a perfect centerpiece on cool or wet nights. I only used the main bedroom, but there are two other beds in the second room. The bed was soft for my taste but the linens were clean and soft. The Wi-Fi is strong. The tv channels weren’t great but I wasn’t there to watch tv. The accommodations were perfect for me. My only disappointment is with the management company. My flight was cancelled so I missed the first night. I called them the minute I knew it was cancelled and told them I’d be in the next day. They made me pay for the night I didn’t use. There is also an unexplained line item called “rent” for $50 that is in addition to the actual rent, taxes, fees, cleaning charge, etc. The cleaning crew turned up at 11:03 for the 11:00 checkout so don’t plan on dithering at checkout. I’d highly recommend this house for a relaxing trip!
