Beautiful house.

The house is in immaculate condition and has everything needed for a perfect stay. We were blessed with perfect weather and were able to eat every meal on the balcony leading from the lounge/diner. What a lovely view and the occasional sighting of storks flying up the valley. We were two motorcyclists and within minutes were riding up mountain passes and through glorious forests. I can thoroughly recommend a stay at this beautiful house.

Good and bad

Nice chalet but needs some attention particularly outside. Hedges very overgrown to the point where it made walking down the steps difficult especially when carrying luggage or shopping. Neighbouring property very scruffy and dogs barking continually during the night. We were unaware there was a separate property in the basement. Internally very spacious and well equipped. Would be helpful if it was made clearer that towels are not provided - had to make an urgent trip to Lidl! Close enough to walk into lovely Munster which we really enjoyed. The lovely lady who met us at the chalet couldn’t speak any English so an information folder in different languages would have been helpful. We would definitely return to the area which was beautiful but not to this property.

Great location and great property with the caveats below.Be aware the price on VRBO was only for 4 people. We had 7 of us (5 adults and 2 kids) and the fee for the extra 3 adults was significant. To be fair we learned about it fairly quickly after making our reservation so it wasn't a surprise on day 1.If renting from the US like we did, be aware that no bath or bed linen are provided (you can rent them). Also no consumables are provided (TP, paper towels, dish soap, sponges, shampoo or soap, garbage bags...). Everything is closed on Sunday in Alsace so buy ahead of time if you check in on Saturday too late to go shopping before Monday.You can take a path to the town of Munster (about a mile), garbage/recycle dropoff about 1/2 mile and bakery a mile down the road. Small farm 2 blocks away for cheese or saucisson and other local products. No milj or eggs though. Good free talk from the cheese maker but not much to see of the farm itself.Kitchen and pots and pans are well appointed (just remember to bring your own salt and pepper, etc ...)Roomy pleasant property, modern and clean. Be aware there are no grounds, just an outside deck. It's not as isolated as we expected and you can hear some road noise (early morning vehicles).One of the beds broke during our stay so one member of our party had to sleep on the couch in the main room for 3 nights because the owner couldn't get it sorted out during our stay. They did compensate us by letting that person stay for free.

Wij raden een verblijf in deze vakantiewoning zeker aan!Ruime woning van alle gemakken voorzien met prachtig uitzicht op een rustige locatie met goede parkeergelegenheid.Je moet een trap af om bij de woning te komen. Het is een goede stenentrap met deels een leuning. Prima te doen.Je loopt zo de berg af naar Munster. Terug gaat iets lastiger, bergopwaarts ; ) Ook fijn om hier met de hond te wandelen.Prachtige omgeving met pittoreske stadjes in de omgeving.Aanraders: Straatsburg (tip parkeren in de parkeergarage Austerlitz), Colmar, Mulhouse (trein en automobiel museum), Turckheim, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Ribeauvillé, Mémorial du Linge Orbey (en de meren Lac Blanc, Lac Noir).Zeer goede communicatie met de eigenaresse!

Excellent séjour dans la vallée de Munster et environs

3 semaines dans la région de coeur de mon mari nous ont permis de redécouvrir ces paysages pittoresques de l'Alsace et des montagnes des Vosges que nous apprécions particulièrement. Le chalet que nous connaissions déjà est toujours aussi accueillant et confortable et nous avons passé un excellent séjour malgré un temps maussade au début et une petite canicule ensuite. Mais il va falloir s'habituer à ce type de caprice météorologique. Encore un grand merci pour notre hôtesse toujours aussi souriante et accueillante et que nous reverrons bientôt j'en suis sûre!

Joli gîte

Joli gîte très bien équipé, vaste et propre, proche des très beaux villages de la région et de la nature environnante. Un emplacement pour se garer, pratique. Jolie vue. Belle terrasse (pour ceux qui viennent à la belle saison bien sûr). C'est un endroit où l'on souhaite revenir aisement. Mais comme déjà vu dans les commentaires, il faut signaler les 39 marches qui descendent à la maison, sans rambarde dans la partie d'acces au gîte qui est en contrebas. Une autre petite remarque, il fait trop frais dans la salle d'eau du rez-de-chaussée pour y prendre une douche en cette saison.

Chalet tres bien situé, de bonnes prestations. Le bemol, c'est les 39 marches que nous decouvrons à l'arrivée au chalet quil faut descendre et le manque de rambarde à la moitié des marches.
