See, feel, smell and hear the ocean from your beach house! Just steps away from the beach, treat yourself to a get-away at this cottage by the sea! Come and enjoy spacious decks with plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy the views and sounds of the ocean at beautiful Dauphin Island.
- The house is equipped with Wi-Fi and cable television in each room with a large flat-screen in the living room, and bedrooms. The rooms have comfortable beds with large windows and doors that invite the ocean views right inside with you! - The Master Bedroom has doors leading out to a ocean view deck with lounge chairs just waiting for you to come and relax. The decks facing the ocean have 4 big rocking chairs with a bistro table for two! Downstairs is an outdoor gathering area with two 5ft. relaxing swings, and a dining table. While you are out on the decks, you don't want to miss the sunrise with a cup of coffee or the sunset with friends and family! There are two additional outdoor tables for dining and a bbq grill for your convenience. You can rent bikes and kayaks that will be delivered right to your door! There is a bike trail along the entire island for biking, jogging, walking, and skateboarding. Another favorite activity is surf fishing right out on 'your' beach!

Our favorite beach house

This is our third year of staying at the cottage. We love the cozy furnishings and the convenience to the beach.

My wife and I don’t enjoy beIng in a commercialized place for vacations so we were told about dauphin island and we found this place and it looked peaceful so we decided to give it a shot. The week we were there it was so quiet and peaceful. We got rested up only wishing we could have stayed a couple more days, and we decided that we weren’t cooking all week and we found the fresh seafood to be a real treat. We would both recommend this house and beach area unless you’re into night life then go elsewhere.

Great place for family

This home fit our needs perfectly. Affordable, 2 minute walk to the beach and central to everything the island had to offer. Plenty of room for my husband and me and our three daughters. My girls loved the beachy decor and the beds were comfy. I loved the bike trail that ran in front of the house and all the way from one end of the island to the other for my early morning runs. The beach was beautiful, especially in the evenings and not at all crowded.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. Nice place to reset. Cozy and clean. Kitchen well stocked. Easy beach access and a great view of the gulf from 2 sides of the deck. Owners very responsive. Internet works good too!

Beautiful place for a family trip

We loved staying at Morning Glory! It was clean and comfortable, and an easy walk to the beach. The owner communicated quickly and easily and I feel confident would have fixed any issues had any arisen. It was our first trip to Dauphin Island and will certainly not be our last. Glad we got a sunny day in before Cristobol made us dodge showers!

Excellent house and location

The location is great. Within walking distance of the beach on a more quiet less traveled side. Probably 150 yards away. Very clean and not as many stairs as most house that high in the air plus nice wrap around porch with chairs to relax in. Neighborhood is peaceful. The inside is nice and has plenty of room and chairs for resting as well. Good central location on the island also. Will go back for sure!

Family vacation at the Morning Glory

My parents, myself, my adult brother, and my 3 children stayed at the Morning Glory recently, and we had a wonderful time! My brother had never seen the ocean, and my parents have never seen my children in the ocean. A good time was had by all! The house is well stocked with towels, kitchen items, items for kids to take to the beach, a fan(for those who need the noise to sleep), and paper products.The walk to the beach from the home is about 5-8 minutes(we had a wagon with us to haul our belongings, so this may have affected our time.)The only downsides I may list is that there was not much dishsoap in the kitchen to hand wash pots/pans and to clean the stovetop/counter with after cooking. And that the communal pool mentioned is the one at Pirates restaurant, which charges 5 per person to get in. These are very minor things, and it would not deter us from staying there again! The host was wonderful and answered every question I had in a timely manner. We had a wonderful stay, and would stay again :) thank you so much.(It will not allow me to post pictures, so I apologize.)

Amazing stay and host

This was a much-needed break. Part of my family was going to be going back to another country for a couple years, was a girls trip with one son-in-law. The house was amazing. The host was amazing. The beach was a little chilly, but we found lots of shells. We just had such a great relaxing time. Then, when we got home, my daughter realized that she had left a blanket there that she had had for many years and a pillow and our little granddaughter shoes. The host and housekeeper went above and beyond in returning these items to us. I would recommend staying here and we hope to be able to return to this beautiful home. Sometime soon.

Perfect relaxing beach vacation!

Came with my husband, 2 children (tween and teen), and my parents. House was perfect for us. Beds were comfy, furniture was very clean with many newer looking pieces, kitchen was well equipped, and having beach chairs available to use was handy. The house is older, but extremely well kept. The outdoor showers and hoses helped keep the sand coming inside to a minimum. Very short, easy walk to the un-crowded beach. Listing and pictures are accurate and the beach house is adorable and perfectly beachy and it really felt like ours for the week! Spent our days playing with the kids on the beach, searching for seashells, exploring the island on a rented golf cart (the best way to get around!), swimming in the gulf, and listening to the waves from the porch/deck. It was prime spring break season, but the beach was never crowded despite warm, humid temps. No crazy college kids partying. Very laid back, relaxing, little beach town. I did a lot of research before we came and used a service and InstaCart for groceries and knew when restaurants were open. No chain stores or restaurant on the island, just mom & pop places, which was what we wanted and needed! About the only thing we could’ve used was a folding drying rack or something to hang the wet swim suits and clothes on. Would definitely rent again! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven!!!

Morning glory

This was our 2nd time to stay here. This time the front door was hanging up was hard to open the bathroom door was sticking shut my wife couldnt get out without my help had to use the bathroom without closeing the door and in front of the sink in the kitchen the floor had a weak place was bouncy had to not walk there and there was visible dust on all the lamp shades. Outside to walk to the beach the walk way was very deep with rain water we had to walk through other properties that was not walk through friendly.

Relaxing Beach Vaca

Such a great place to stay with just a short walk to the beach. The house had everything our family of six needed. Plenty of room, comfy seating in the living, large dining table, and nice bedrooms/bathrooms. The outdoor swings and rockers were also a favorite in the mornings and evenings. We would love to visit again!

It has been a place for us as well as many other families to make special and lasting memories while building strong relationships. For others, it has been an amazing refuge for much needed get-away’s. Our mother bought this house after a terrible hurricane and transformed it into a 'home away from home' for her family and for those who just needed a place to go!
