Beautiful 150 year old Cottage with 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles and one twin all set in its own private gardens. Renovated 2024/25 with new Kitchen layout.
Due to problems with Animals we no longer accept pets, accept for longer term rentals ALL pets will need a certificate stating infestation treatment with the previous 7 days.
Old and modern charm with solid wood floors in lounge and bedrooms. Above ground 16 foot swimming pool. East, south and west facing patios. West patio catches the sun from midday to until sunset. Large field for ball games. Landscaped gardens.Log burner for early and late bookings. Separate shower room 1st level with hand basin and toilet. Bath, shower and hand basin in master bedroom. Further shower in double ground level bedroom. Another toilet and hand basin in small utility room off the kitchen. Well equiped kitchen with programable cooker, microwave and powerful twin gas hob. Washing machine. Large fridge freezer. Programmable night lighting on upstairs hallway. Small herb garden for clients use during season.

Typical comfy, renovated Breton cottage.

Homely describes it well. It has been renovated but retains the charm of an old cottage. It is equipped with everything you need for your stay and we were made very welcome by the English owner. This time it was just the two of us, but it is ideal for a family with plenty of open space for children to play. Our grandchildren love it! It is very peaceful, away from other houses set in a rural location. Just a short drive away are shops for everyday needs and the cottage is an ideal base to explore the coast and countryside in southern Brittany. We shall certainly visit again.

Séjour désastreux car le ménage n'été pas fait, ma famille et moi nous nous sommes fait piquer par des puces ( 100 piqûres à peu près pour chaque personne ) , malgrès plusieurs nettoyage il était difficile à dormir. Donc cet événement nous montre que le ménage n'a pas été fait avant notre arrivé de plus nous avons du prévenir l'hôte avec des preuves á l'appui. La région est magnifique, le jardin est joli.

Les piqûres d'insectes se seraient produites de l'extérieur et non de l'intérieur de la maison, de la campagne ou des phlébotomes des plages. Merci pour votre séjour.

Joli cottage à la campagne

Très bon accueil du propriétaire pour un séjour très agréable dans cette jolie maison rénovée à l'écart du village. A refaire ! Environnement super calme : grand terrain, pas de voisins. A l'intérieur, confortable et pratique, bien qu'un peu froid dans les chambres en hiver.

Mauvaise surprise

Beau gîte dans un beau cadre mais... -pas de wifi ! Pas d internet en panne -pas de lave vaisselle ! En panne - Pas d eau chaude dans la cuisine, ballon en panne !! -Pas de chaînes françaises à la télé . -poignées de portes de chambres cassées. Bref ne vous fiez pas au descriptif et sachez parler anglais. Toutes ces choses auraient pu ou dû être précisées dans l annonce.

Beau gite, Merci. Extremely upset that this client had a broken leg while out walking. I really hope the client has had a full recovery. However the client demanded a refund as their holiday ended abruptly because of this injury. At the time I told the client that we have no obligation to return payments, especially during a stay. We directed them to claim on their insurance. Having looked at this review I assume that the clients had no insurance and have penalized our cottage. We did offer the client before they left the cottage a free stay in the future as our personal gesture.

Le propriétaire nous a très bien accueillis et nous a donné des bons conseils pour visiter cette belle région. La maison est très propre, bien équipée et bien conçue pour vivre à 8: 4 chambres dont 2 avec baignoire ou douche plus 1 salle de douches supplémentaire. Les enfants ont vraiment bien profité du grand jardin et de la piscine.

This was an ideal holiday home for a family of 4.

The pool and large garden were ideal for a relaxing holiday, especially as it was so quiet. The owner was very welcoming - thank you very much for the wine, chocolates and loan of the bicycles! The children loved playing with Julie, the dog, and the cats who adopted us for the week. We enjoyed local walks and trips to the beach which was 1/2 an hour away. We would certainly recommend this lovely cottage to other people who want to explore Southern Brittany.

very nice villa in a quiet location accessible to pretty villages, towns and the beaches

property has been recently renovated and bedrooms were perfect for two families with children. the gardens are fantastic and the pool served our needs. the host was very pleasant and accomodating and i would certainly recommend this property, the layout inside works well. we vistied many of the local towns and the restaurants were all good. the beaches at carnac and guidel were just over 30 minutes away and provided great days out, the market at hebonnet is worth a visit on a thursday morning and supermarkets are a 10 minute drive away in baud. we played golf at raimason which was a pretty 9 hole golf course 20 minutes from the property and with a couple of good bikes kept on sight managed to cycle one early evening down to the river 5k away although there were a couple of steep hills coming back. all told great value for money and would certainly go back Graham August 2016

Hi, After a lifetime of travelling abroad I settled in the Morbihan of Southern Brittany. Some years ago I had the choice of settling in the South Island of NZ, southern Ireland or here. I chose Brittany as it has beautiful countryside, lots of history and great beaches. Now have lived here for 14 years and have decided to live out my days here. I have been a professional builder all my life so it was a natural progression to renovate to a very high standard a cottage for holiday use and using criterior that holiday makers require, especially with families to have a fun time, but also allowing hardworking parents to relax as the kids can use the large gardens here and go off and explore this area. I have given much thought into the design and layout this cottage.

Why they chose this property

The area is the best of both worlds, set between two local forests, close to the Beautiful Blavet valley and not too far from the many sandy beaches. Away from the noise of main roads and motorways. The Cottage has it`s own 90 meter driveway.

What makes this property unique

Le Grand Tallen is close to the town of Camors, 1km and the larger town of Baud, 5 mins, but the cottage is not part of the village giving it a private situation.
The hamlet of Grand Tallen consisits of the cottage, and one other house (owned by us)
