Perfect fit for our family

We spent 4 wonderful weeks at this property and would have stayed longer if we could. It had the perfect location for our needs, the pool provided much entertainment for our children and friends who visited. The owners, Leonel and Mariana, live nearby and were always available to help with anything that was needed (which wasn't much at all). The kitchen was well equipped and the 4 bedrooms were comfortable. It was great to be able to bring our dog too. Thank you!

Belle maison de vacances avec piscine privée portugaise à proximité de Lisbonne

La maison, de plain pied, a un très beau espace intérieur avec 4 chambres ( 3 de 2 personnes et 1 de 1 personne), 1 salle d'eau et 1 salle de bains, 1 grande cuisine bien équipée en vaisselle avec lave vaisselle et lave linge, 1 grand espace à vivre salon salle à manger, et surtout un bel espace extérieur avec la piscine privée sans vis à vis direct ( oui on est visible d'autres mais pas d'immeubles ou de gens qui nous regardent, le quartier est résidentiel maison ). Manque juste un vrai barbecue digne de ce nom. Le senor Luis et sa femme sont très gentils et prévenants ( je leur parlais en portugais, je ne sais pas s'ils parlent d'autres langues). Merci encore à eux pour leur accueil ! Avec pour environnement direct Sintra et tous ses palais portugais, Lisbonne, et la plage à 3km ( pour les surfeurs la praia do guincho, pour les nageurs non frileux la baie de cascais). Et Cascais est une jolie ville balnéaire avec en prime tout un quartier culturel autour de la forteresse et de la marina. En synthèse : un très beau séjour !

Home from home

We stayed with our 2 collies and had a friend visit. The villa was spacious and comfortable although as reported before some of the mattresses are hard and there are a lot of dogs in the surrounding houses that can bark alot but neither of these things bothered us much. The garden was fully enclosed and the pool a bonus as it was in the 30s when we stayed there. There is everything you need to cook and good wifi. You can walk into Cascais centre in about 1/2 hour but would recommend having a car if you want to go to the beaches or explore the area. Sintra is very close but all properties totally closed to dogs and indeed we found Portugal wasn't that dog friendly but you can take them on nearby Arriba beach. Would recommend this villa to anyone who is looking for a place to chill out.

Lovely house in quiet neighborhood about three kilometers from the water. Small garden with pretty small, but nice pool. Several good beaches within 10 minutes drive away. Mattresses on all beds too hard and noise at the slightest movement. Well-functioning kitchen and bathroom. Friendly and helpful owners live right next door.

Heerlijke plek in Cascais

We hebben een fijne tijd gehad in dit leuke typische Portugese huis in de wijk Birre in Cascais. Perfecte uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te ontdekken, vlakbij Guincho en halfuur van centrum Lissabon. Centrum Cascais 5 a 10 min rijden met de auto. Het huis heeft 4 slaapkamers, een grote living en keuken. Alles is ruimschoots aanwezig incl. wasmachine, vaatwasser, tv, WiFi etc.,De bedden zouden echter vernieuwd kunnen worden, erg hard en geen donzen dekbedden. Omdat wij de eerste huurders waren na de winter was het erg vochtig in huis, vervelende geur. Er is geen verwarming in huis en het kan koud zijn in Portugal! De tuin en zwembad is prima alleen niet verwarmd. Al met al een aangenaam verblijf op goede locatie met voldoende privacy, stil en eigenaren nabij. Altijd bereid om te helpen. Iets van modernisering aan het huis is een tip om het nog comfortabeler te maken. Maar het was prima!

Very pleasant villa let down by very noisy dogs on neighbourhood

The villa is very comfortable and has all modern amenities required for a great holiday. The owners are very helpful abc live nearby. Unfortunately a few of the neighbours leave their dogs out and the incessant barking becomes intrusive even when inside the villa with the windows open. Shame as but for that would have given 5 stars.

Nice and basic

Nice house. Except wifi connection as it wasn't really working during our stay. So if this is a must, don't really count on it. Also pay attention that there is no change of litery neither cleaning durint the stay of 2 weeks (in general this is the case) Otherwise, the basic things are inside ! Owner is near and is very sympathic and tried to do his best to help us.

Nice location and well preserved

Very nice Bungalow, a bit basic, but clean and well preserved, with a lovely garden and pool, Wi-Fi and certain satellite stations. the owners live two doors down and they are very happy to help if you need them. i hope to go back there next year like many previous years before with my family.Marcelo.
