Fantastich verblijf , zeer geschikt voor wandel/ fietsvakantie

Zeer fraai gelegen 3 km boven dorp, laatste honderd meter erg steil, goede locatie voor diverse wandelingen, fietstochten in de regio. Helaas heeft Storm Alex veel ellende en schade aangericht, dus vooraf plannen van wandeltochten beslist aan te raden omdat deel van het gebied nog steeds niet goed toegankelijk is. Zwembadje is heerlijk ter verkoeling na inspanning. Beheerder en eigenaar zeer vriendelijk en bereid tot hulp.

Séjour du 29 août au 12 sept 2020. La petite maison perchée dans la montagne : en pleine nature, vue imprenable sur la vallée et les montagnes du Mercantour. Calme, repos, petits déjs en terrasse, face à la montagne. Pour les repas de midi nous étions en rando le plus souvent. Rien ne manque, la WIFI fonctionne, nous n’avons pas profité de la piscine, nous étions toujours en montagne, pour les adeptes, pourquoi pas ? elle est idéalement située. Situation idéale pour se rendre dans les vallées (TOP randos) : • Le Boréon • La Madone de Fenestre • La vallée de la Gordolasque • La vallée des Merveilles Merci à Stéphano de son accueil, de sa présence au moins 1 fois par semaine (travail oblige), Merci également à Alain (le voisin), très disponible (il nous a accueilli le 1er soir, à 20 h), alors que nous nous étions égarés dans un quartier de Nice Nord qui s’appelle « Roquebilière » (100 km en + aller-retour) Merci Waze et le GPS de la voiture qui tous les 2 se trompent. A ce propos, petit conseil, mettre plutôt ST Martin de Vésubie qui est à seulement 8 km et vous trouverez plus facilement Roquebilière (surtout ne pas aller à Nice…) Donc un grand merci à tous les 2 pour votre assistance et votre réactivité pendant notre séjour. Futurs locataires… venez voir, vous en prendrez plein la vue et serez très bien reçus.

Bonjour, Nous avons passé de très très bonnes vacances. La maison est agréable, joliment décorée et bien équipée. Le cadre est merveilleux, pas à 20 kms, pas à 10 kms, mais au pied de la maison. Je prenais des photos depuis la fenêtre de la cuisine. Bonne assistance du propriétaire pendant le séjour. Pour les activités, rando, ping-pong, piscine, visites. Le village de Roquebillière est très sympa En conclusion, vacances réussies !

Petit nid tranquille perché sur la montagne

Séjour super agréable de 1 semaine loin de la foule. La route d'accès impressionne les premières fois. Nous avions emporté des vélos, mais on a pas pu les utiliser vu le dénivelé. Le vélo électrique reste une option. Belles randos à faire dans le coin. La maison est parfaitement équipée. Stefano et son voisin sont super réactifs à nos mails ou questions. Le bon plans si vous aimez la nature, la tranquillité et les balades.

Superbe appartement de caractère en pleine nature.

Appartement très spacieux sur 2 étages dans une belle maison ancienne,en pleine nature. Belle déco, toutes commodités, vue superbe sur les montagnes de la terrasse. Seul bémol, 8 min de route très étroite et pentue pour y accéder, mais les locaux que l'on croise parfois sont toujours prêts à faire une manoeuvre pour nous faciliter le passage !

Location de rêve, en pleine nature, ouverte sur la vallée... certes, il faut mériter les 10mn de petite route pour y arriver depuis le village de Roquebillière, mais à l'arrivée, c'est le bonheur d'autant que la location est tout confort : rien ne manque ... à cela s'ajoute l'accueil chaleureux du propriétaire et de la gestionnaire : "what else ?" Nous y avons déjà réservé pour l'année prochaine Michel et Françoise Bazimon

Pour nous la découverte de cette vallée de la Vésubie fût un enchantement , la maison et la campagne de Stefano sont une vraie merveille , nous nous sommes sentis chez nous comme si nous venions visiter un ami . Nous avons été très bien accueillis par la personne qui s'occupe des lieux nous donnant de multiples renseignements sur les alentours . nous reviendrons dans cette belle vallée qui nous a rempli de bien être . nous vous recommandons le boucher MIcka face au Vival qui prépare du fait maison délicieux ! A bientôt dans ces lieux chargés de belles énergies .

rectification sur l'appréciation de Pascaline A

juillet 2016 Nous venons de passer un mois dans le gîte du rez de chaussée, nous avons énormément voyager tous les jours et je ne vois pas ou vous avez vu 300 m de dénivelé ! Le 1er lacet 20 m puis un plat ,un autre lacet de 50 m assez raide il est vrai . Mais c'est loin d'être une difficulté insurmontable ! Mais ces montées et ces lacets sont nombreux dans tous les cols de la région. Et pourtant nous avons une nissan qashkai + 2 !! Mais à côté de ça un séjour inoubliable et une vue fabuleuse une fois arrivé au gîte et un propriétaire plus que sympathique et d'une disponibilité incroyable

Lovely apartment in the countryside

We stayed for a week in the upper of these two apartments - the photos on the website do not do it justice as it was much more spacious than we originally thought. The apartment is very well kept and was very clean and tidy. OUr only minor grumble (being English) was no kettle in the kitchen - there was a coffee machine but as we're not big coffee drinkers we had to boil water in a pan to make cups of tea etc. Not a major issue though. Although we did not get to meet the owner Stefano during our stay, we were shown to the Apartment by the lady in the office in Roquebilliere who was very helpful. Stefano has created two lovely apartments with a great garden, small swimming pool (perfect to cool off in on our last day as it was so hot!) and view across to Belvedere. There is lots of helpful information in the apartment which is about 5 minutes up a winding road into the countryside from the town where we found all the residents to be very friendly. Plenty of good places to eat and drink in Roquebilliere along with a supermarket for everyday needs. You can walk from the apartment to the "Rock of the Bees" and further along the hillside or down to Roq. if you wish. Further afield St Martin Vesuvie has lovely shops and good restaurants and a larger supermarket. A great base for wildlife and walking in the Alps or just enjoying the scenery - the Alpha Wolf park is worth a visit, and the Gordolasque valley and La Madone de la Fenestre valley were beautiful. Another place worth a visit is La Madone d'Utelle - the 360 degree panorama from the church and monument at the top is breathtaking. Also worth the longer drive is Isola 2000 and just over the border into Italy, if you are lucky you will also see Marmots and Chamois along the way. All in all a superb place to stay as a base for exploring the Alps and countryside between the mountains and the coast. Would certainly recommend and great value for money.

Great Location, beautiful house!

We spend 1 week in the small flat and 2 further weeks in big flat . The small flat has a spectacular terrasse or veranda with view to the mountains around the house. In the small flat is a bedroom with TV, a bathroom with shower and 2 wardrobes for clothes. It also has a little kitchen with all kitchen utensils, also a table and two chairs and a couch/sofa. It is raelly cosy in that little flat. There were lovely details like painted picures on the walls or some nice decorative things. In the big flat we had 2 terasses, one on the noth side and one on the south side. The one on the north side could be shared with the small flat because of the Profi-Grill-Station. Yes, we grilled there sometimes and it was really superb! The views from both terrasses are also very spactacular; montains and nature. For those who like to paint...the right place! There is a big kitchen with everything what cooks love! We love cooking and so we loved this flat very much. There are two (!) living rooms (salons) and as a pair everyone could have his own living room... or having the one for silence and book reading and the other one for watching TV and sitting around the chimney/fireplace. Upstairs there is the sleeping room with a big wardrobe and a spaciously bath room with shower. Everything in this flat is with nice a pretty details....good quality of beds and curtains (also in the small flat), african feeling with decoration, real good place for feeling good. Everything is in a very good order and very clean. In the garden you could find a swimming pool and a table tennis. Also you could walk around the house directly into the mountains or walk down to Roquebilliere for its market every thursday morning. You could drive to the Alpha-Wolf-Parc 10 Km away and its really great there. You could visit the sea and the beaches and of course Nice! And the Owner, Mr. de Riz, is a real Gentleman. He was so hospitable and friendly - we felt like at home. So we booked again for next year. Best Regards, M. + H. Freitag

Nous avons trouvé le paradis nature

Pour les amateurs de nature, c'est un endroit extraordinaire.Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le décor somptueux depuis la terrasse.l'accueil symphatique et souriant du proprietaire et de l'agence immobiliére, qui , amoureux de leur région nous ont fait partager leur connaissances. Le gite est très propre et il ne manque rien. La route d'accès au gite, surprenante le premier jour, devient, dans cet espace nature, un vrai plaisir Nous recommandons cette location qui ne réserve que des surprises agréables

Magique !

Nous avons effectué cet été notre second séjour dans cette belle et spacieuse location perchée sur les hauteurs de Roquebillières, face aux sommets du Mercantour ! Terrasse bien ensoleillée où il est possible de prendre son petit-déjeuner, cuisine bien équipée et fonctionnelle, bel espace salon.......Nous pourrions vivre toute l'année à Roquebillières ! Il est possible d'effectuer de très belles randonnées au départ de l'habitation ! Le village est accessible en quelques minutes en véhicule et en un peu plus de 15 minutes à pieds, par un petit sentier qui vaut le détour ! Les départs de randonnées pour la Vallée de la Gordolasque, la Madone de Fenestre, la Vallée des Merveilles sont à un peu plus de 30 minutes en voiture ! A noter la gentillesse du propriétaire et de l'équipe des Meublés des Merveilles de Roquebillières qui nous a accueillis ! Jamais deux sans trois !

Séjour réussi

Gîte très agréable, bénéficiant d'un environnement digne des plus belles cartes postales de la région mais qui se mérite (route d'accès assez raide) ! Etant seuls locataires durant notre semaine, nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir profiter du petit déjeuner sur la terrasse du gîte du bas au point de vue exceptionnel et de l'apéritif du soir face à une flambée dans le poêle à bois du gîte du haut ! Propriétaire et personne chargée de l'accueil conciliants et disponibles. Dommage que ce bel endroit ne soit pas adapté aux enfants...
