We stayed here for our son’s nearby wedding. The location and room to entertain family members was fantastic. The outside pool area is special. I would recommend staying here for any event in the Camarillo area.

Great stay!

California Dreaming

We had an amazing time. The property was beautiful and spacious. We loved the pool and the huge backyard. This property was close enough to so many things including Disney, beaches, dolphin cruises, parasailing and many more adventures. Patty and Colin answered any questions we had right away. We would definitely recommend this house and would love to come back and stay again.

Castillo Annual family vacation

The property was beautiful fully stocked and well maintained the family enjoyed the and we had plenty of room for everyone to sleep. My nephew and family that live in Oxnard came for dinner and there was plenty of seating area for everyone. I didn’t want our vacation to end. We will definitely return. We have stayed at several VRBO homes in the past 6 years and this one was our number 1. Thank you Colin and Patty for sharing your home.

Fantastic Experience

This is our second time staying at this property and it will not be our last. I came with our women’s ministry for a ladies getaway. Patty met us on Thursday to get us settled in. As always she was so kind and made us feel so welcome. The property is a beautiful place to get away and relax. Our group came last year so it felt like we were back at our home away from home. We are already looking forward to next year.

With last minute Bridal decision to get ready in her own home, the grooms traveling parents were offered this beautiful vacation home. As soon as they stepped into this amazing home, a personal call was made to the brides parents thanking them with excitement for allowing them to stay in this huge comfortable home. Perfect holiday home

A wedding just down the road brought us all into this corner of the world. 10 college friends who hadn't all been together since before we'd gotten married got to call this beautiful home ours for a long weekend. Having done all the planning, my wife and I got the very luxurious master suite. The others were not disappointed, as the entire home is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Pool and backyard in general was amazing, wish we could have stayed here longer!

Amazing home

We chose this home for family and friends to stay for my daughter wedding. The home was clean and beautiful. Located at a perfect area. Patty and Collin are superb! They are so considerate and thoughtful. (Supplied bottle waters in the refrigerator :)) Extra measure of kindness! Making sure that thermostat worked because of the hot weather. Thank you for making our weekend amazing.

Just RIGHT!

We had a great time staying at this house! Plenty of room, comfy beds and a great pool! We were visiting from out of state for a family wedding and we had 3 couples and two grand kids! We cooked most of our meals in so we really got to enjoy the big kitchen and outdoor area. The kids spent hours in the pool! We reached out to the owner with a request for some things we thought should have been in the kitchen and within a couple of hours he responded with more than we had requested, which we truly appreciated! I would highly recommend this spacious house! We also found a great Mexican Restaurant not to far from the house called Money Panchos! It was delicious! Although it did not look like much when we pulled up to it, once you walked inside it was really cute and REALLY good!!

Aged 0 to 91 - we all enjoyed our stay.

We had a four generation family reunion and this house was above and beyond what we needed. My father in law kept saying, "wow! It's like you booked us an entire resort!" The pool is beautiful, and the temperature was amazing. The kids played for ours while we sat and visited outside. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and the house was air conditioned which was a huge bonus in the summer. The kitchen was fantastic - open concept so very easy to have and share meals. We didn't turn on a TV - but that goes to show how much we were enjoying the house. The wonders were so nice, they even came back to put out the trash on trash day when they could have easily just asked me to do that. Thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful home.

We absolutely loved it!

This was perfect for our family! We enjoyed the back yard sooo much- the pool was perfect and there as wood for the fire pit, loved sitting around in the evening and talking ,so relaxing. Now of course of course the huge and stocked with everything we needed. Coffee, spices. Tons of pots and pans. There was 10 of us and plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Plenty of towels for the bath and lots of towels for the pool. Great having a washer and dryer also. Everyone loved the beds-very comfortable and nicely made up. In fact the whole house was very comfortably furnished. We all decided we need to come here every year! We all left very relaxed and happy. Thank you Patty and Colin for having us. The Gillispie's

Great Potential but there are a few issues

We traveled with older family members from Indiana for a funeral in Oxnard. The house was very spacious and just the right size for what we needed. Unfortunately, the oven did not work properly and did not get up to temperature to heat meat for a family dinner. We had to take it to a family members home in Camarillo to bake and bring back. Thankfully, this was the only meal we had planned that needed the stove. Patty was notified and hopefully this is fixed.The outside grill worked well for barbequing. Stocked utensils in the kitchen was a little stretch as there were only 3 forks. We did go to Walmart and purchase forks to use and did leave behind for those who come behind us.It does appear to have been recently painted but they did miss replacing at least two outlet covers.Things happen with homes and we do understand that. During our stay one bathroom, the kitchen sink, dishwasher and laundry area went down due to a plumbing issue. While this was a great inconvenience Patty did get a plumber to come out and fix that day. Unfortunately, my husband was left to manage the issue and Patty did not ever come to the property to evaluate. The plumbers were there 3 hours and Patty was notified at least once as they needed to call out an additional plumber to repair the issue. She never came to property nor did she follow up with me after the issue to insure all was good or to have the bathroom cleaned when "dirty" water did back up into the bathtub.

Upon arrival at 4:00 pm, we were required to contact an agent to get the entry code. At that time, we were told that the owner would be by shortly with a complimentary case of water, a nice gesture indeed. We waited. Colin (the owner) showed up after 7:00 pm, unannounced. During that interval, we explored our new home. The home was clean and nicely appointed with fully stocked kitchen appliances, pots and pans and comfy furniture. The pool was beautiful, just as pictured in the listing. Our decision to book this property was based largely on the backyard and it’s amenities, such as the outdoor kitchen, loungers, furniture, and tropical cabana. Those were all a huge disappointment! The cabana is literally falling apart and a real safety hazard. The outdoor kitchen is non-operable, as disclosed by the owner when he dropped off the water. Upon closer inspection, it was not only non-operable but full of rat droppings and debris. Quite disgusting. There were no shade umbrellas, as pictured, and the lounger’s rattan was rotted and unsafe. All of the outdoor furniture was dirty and clearly had not been tended to for some time.THERE IS MUCH MORE TO THIS COMPLAINT I NEED TO SUBMIT. HOW DO I DO THAT? I look forward to your timely response. I’ve attached photos of the current state of the property. These should be compared to the photos in the listing to highlight the massive discrepancies. Suffice it to say that the property listing was inaccurate and extremely misleading.

Great Family Friendly Home with Resort Like Feel

We had family in town for my son's wedding and needed a house that could comfortably hold 10-12 people since not everyone could stay at my house. This house did more than that, it provided an amazing vacation feel in a laid-back setting. The house itself features ample space and bedrooms on each side of the house to give privacy and space to all. The Kitchen and Dining Room and Family Room area is nice and open and you can cook, grill or just hang out there quite nicely. The backyard is amazing, with a beautiful pool and deck area in a quiet and serene neighborhood. There is only the open wooded barranca area in the back yard so it's quite private. There is plenty of parking in the front yard and the house even has a cool game room with pool and darts in the converted garage. Patti comes there in person to greet you and show you how everything works. I would stay here in a heart beat as it was perfect for adults only or couples or adults with young teens as there is space for all in a relaxing setting.

Great Stay with a Few Minor Areas for Improvement

My friends and I had an enjoyable stay at this property! The heated pool was absolutely a highlight—we used it every day and it made our trip even more relaxing. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do, and the space was comfortable and well laid out for a large group.We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like bottled water, condiments, paper towels, and soap being available when we arrived. Communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay; they were responsive and helpful.That said, there are a few things that could be improved. Some areas that aren’t used daily such as the outdoor seating area could use a deep clean as we noticed accumulating spiderwebs. There were also some stains on the towels and sheets that we switched out upon arrival. One disappointment was that the pool heater was set to automatically turn off each night, and since we used the pool most in the evenings, this impacted our enjoyment a bit.Overall, it was a very nice stay. The home is in a great location, the pool was clean, communication was great, and the price felt fair for what was offered. With a few small improvements, this would be an easy five-star stay.

Beautiful Escape

The house is lovely with 5 bedrooms that we needed. The backyard was stunning with enough seating around the pool and luscious landscape. The managers were exceptionally friendly and helpful, even sending a message for a lovely Mothers Day. We will be returning next year.
