Castle very comfortable with its 11 rooms including 7 rooms with bathroom and toilets + 2 with shower and 2 two without toilets.
You can enjoy the swimming pool with solar heating, tennis with some false-bounces and the pleasantly wooded park.
The wifi is slow but can manage emails and upload photos.

Let's not forget the castles of the Loire in Gien, Sully, Chambord ...

Very disappointing

Several items were broken, some terrible smells from plumbing, hornets nest somewhere in building, sun umbrellas useless, swimming pool dirty with lots of wasps around it that stung the children. Altogether, I was disgusted especially for what we paid

Maison de famille qui a gardé toute son âme.

On est "reçus", même si les propriétaires sont absents, et on a le sentiment d'être accueillis dans une maison vivante et habitée. On a donc l'impression d'être chez soi, avec tout ce que cela sous entend pour respecter la qualité de vie qui nous est ainsi confiée.

Heerlijk en gezonde vakantiewoning!

Een uitstekend gebied, heel gezellige woning! Heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Het enige probleem is de afval. Je moet die naar het dorp brengen waar de gemeentelijke bakken zijn maar die zijn bijna dagelijks TE vol. Behalve dat moet je je afval in kleinere zakjes doen omdat de grote niet in de bakken passen. Met de kartonnendozen en papier idem dito . Totale indruk: deze kasteel raden wij aan van harte!

Superbe propriété idéale pour de grands groupes

Propriété plus que conforme à l’annonce: tout est prévu pour que vous profitiez de l’ensemble des installations (Raquette pour le tennis, boules de pétanque ..) .. il y a absolument tout le matériel nécessaire pour cuisiner et recevoir un groupe de plus de 20 personnes La propriété est superbe et très bien entretenue.. Bref un endroit idéal pour se retrouver en famille ou entre amis

We had a lovely stay at Chateau Du Grandval. The property was spacious and well equipped.

Week end en septembre tres agréable au calme

A l arrivée , le château était encore plus beau que sur les photos . Accueil parfait et sans problème ; Toute la famille réunie pour les 40 ans de mariages de mes parents . Nous étions 24 adultes et 2 enfants de 18 mois. Nous avons profites de la piscine , du tennis , du ping pong, et les balades dans les bois . Pour l organisation, les 2 lave-vaisselles sont très pratiques

Fantastic chateau for a multi-aged group

We were a extended family group of 22 aged 7 months to 83 years. The chateau is extremely well setup with everything you could possibly need from a cot and baby seats to swings, ping pong, pétanque, tennis and a beautiful pool. Loads of kitchen stuff and plenty of room for us inside and out to either be together or have our own space. We ate outside for breakfast, lunch and supper and had arranged for Odile who looks after the chateau to cook for us each evening which was such a treat and always delicious. The house and gardens and their complete privacy make it a pretty exceptional place to spend time together. We didn’t want our week to end. Many thanks to Ivan for fielding our many questions prior to arrival and for sharing his wonderful house with us.

Lovely chateau for a big group

We had a large group of seven families stay here during August 2017. We have done several holidays of this type and for the first time have found a place we would return to. The house is lovely and very spacious. The rooms are all quite big and most have some kind of en-suite, with several suitable for 'bunk rooms' for the kids. The downstairs living space is lovely, particularly the large lounge. Outside, the pool area is fenced, and very nicely done. The terrace at the front of the house is perfect for drinks / dinner in the evening. The grounds generally are expansive and well kept. Ivan was responsive and helpful before, during and after the holiday. We all agreed we would probably go back next year, which i guess is as good an endorsement as you can get.

La vie de château !

Un château à la fois luxueux et à taille humaine, dans lequel on se sent comme chez soi...mais qu'il faut bien rendre un jour à ses propriétaires, par ailleurs charmants et accueillants ! Nous avions réservé Grand Val pour le baptême de nos 2 enfants il y a maintenant 2 ans, mais tous nos amis et familles nous parlent encore avec nostalgie de cette expérience unique ! Encore merci...

Séjour très agréable

Très beau séjour entre amis avec enfants à Grandval. Le château était parfaitement dimensionné pour les 24 que nous étions ; le fait que chaque chambre ait sa propre salle de bain est un point de confort à noter. Le château est très beau, confortable et bien équipé ; tout est bien dimensionné pour les groupes. Le parc avec piscine, tennis et grands espaces est un paradis pour les petits et les grands. La terrasse orientée sud-ouest est un vrai bonheur pour les apéros de fin de journée ! Nous avons bénéficié d'une météo exceptionnelle qui nous a affranchis des frais de fuel qui peuvent apparemment être élevés si le château doit être correctement chauffé ... Point d'ajustement : la flexibilité au niveau de la remise des clefs. En effet, le propriétaire n'habite pas sur place et il convient de bien anticiper avec lui les heures et jours de départ et d'arrivée.

Fabulous country chateau - the high life!!

Wonderful long weekend break in this family-owned Chateau in the Sologne area. Surrounded by parkland, greenery, very calm and relaxing environment. Sweet small French village very close by and a 15-minute drive to bigger town with full shops and amenities. The surrounding parkland is very well-maintained, with numerous peaceful corners to explore and relax in. Plenty of space so not on top of each other and possibility of great walking country straight from the chateau itself. Tennis court and swimming pool - something for everyone. The owners were helpful and charming and the handover on arrival and departure went extremely smoothly. The house is v well-equipped, the furnishings tasteful, great atmosphere and family feel. Our guarantee deposit was returned quickly without any fuss. A great experience and would definitely be happy to return and highly recommend it.

Sejour tres agreable a la campagne mais au chateau

Séjour avec des amis 13 adultes 4 adolescents et 6 enfants. Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires. Magnifique propriété disposant de grands volumes, salon ( belle cheminée) exposé ouest avec terrasse. 7 Chambres spacieuses avec SDB toilettes et literies trés confortables, chambres dortoirs enfants trés appréciées. Grande cuisine avec îlot, bien équipée avec grande table idéale pour faire manger les enfants. Superbe SAM grande capacité. Trés beau parc disposant d'une piscine et d'un terrain de tennis apprécié des grands et des petits. Ce château est trés bien situé pour point de départ de belles balades et découvrir une faune abondante (petit et gros gibier) qui a fait le bonheur des enfants et des adultes. En conclusion, à ne pas manquer, séjour fortement conseillé

maison très spacieuse, jardin et cadre agréable

Nous avons séjourné 1 semaine en Aout 2014 à Granval : nous étons 11 adultes et 9 enfants et il restait de la place pour accueillir encore du monde si on le souhaitait. La maison est vraiment spacieuse et chaque chambre ou presque dispose de sa propre salle de bain ce qui est vraiement appréciable. La cuisine est bien équipée (2 frigos, 2 lave vaisselle). Côté jardin une piscine et un tennis (en état moyen mais pratiquable) ainsi que des balancoires. Il y a de belles promenades à faire et les rencontres avec le gibier ne manquent pas. Le lac du puits à proximité permet de faire du ski ou du wakeboard pour 25€ par personne. Un bilan positif pour tout le monde, nous avons visité le canal de Briare, Sully sur Loire et Gien qui sont à proximité. Seul petit bémol mais qui va avec ce genre de location de maisons anciennes, il ne faut pas être trop pointilleux sur les toiles d'araignées ;-) mais rien d'anormal Nous recommandons!
