Perfect location and beautiful villa

Villa Nova was a lovely villa very close to town. We were able to walk everywhere. The villa was very well equipped and beds were large and comfortable. St Remy is a wonderful town and we enjoyed our visit very much. Two adult couples and we had plenty of room very spacious house.

Family trip to Provence

Villa Nova was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Provence. The property is well appointed and accommodated our group of five adults beautifully. The kitchen is well supplied. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. We had rented a car and the designated parking space was an important convenience. The property in Saint Remy allowed us to explore Provençe without driving great distances. It’s location close to the center of town, let us fully explore St Remy without using a car. Nicolas was very welcoming and responsive to any questions we had both before our visit and during our stay. The owner also provides many references, travel books and information about St Remy, that are very helpful to the traveler. We would recommend Villa Nova to anyone visiting Provence.

A Delightful Stay in St-Remy

We loved our time in St-Remy and were sorry to have to leave! The property was very much as described, and communication with Nicolas and check-in went very smoothly. Our rental was comfortable and convenient. We made good use of the outside terrace, where we ate many meals, marveled at the intensely blue skies of Provence, and enjoyed the local birdsong. Though I generally prefer to leave windows open when possible, we were glad to have the option of air-conditioning during some hot days. We stayed at VillaNova once before (different property), and it worked out very well for us: an easy walk to the center of town, as well as easy access to routes out of town when we wanted to explore other locations, and a convenient designated parking spot. We also appreciated the beautiful landscaping, thoughtfully done and restful on the eyes after a busy day. We’ve visited Provence several times and are always happy to return. St-Remy is particularly pleasant, with several good restaurants, a wonderful weekly market, and many pleasant cafés. We’ve visited Glanum 3 or 4 times over the years and are always interested to see how it’s changed. (Among other things, one can now get lunch there!) In the surrounding countryside one experiences first-hand the landscapes of Van Gogh. There are several interesting towns or sights nearby or not far from St-Remy: Les Baux, Arles, the Luberon area, the Rhone Valley region, various Roman ruins, to name only a few. One is spoilt for choice!

Very nice accommodations and a great value

Rarely do properties that are reasonably priced exceed expectations but this one certainly did. The townhouse is located on the gated grounds of a beautiful manor house. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with stunning specimens of local plants such as wisteria, lavender, agapanthus, hydrangeas, and olive trees. Our unit was simply but elegantly decorated in all white. Good linens, excellent individual AC units, and very functional kitchen. The private courtyard was perfect for daily al fresco dinners. Tons of closet space for unpacking. Excellent wifi. Owner's agent greeted us with a welcome basket which included a local rose wine and tapenade with crostini. The location was great -- only two blocks to the center of town and a bakery and one block to the bike rental store. If anything could be better it would be written instructions about the location of grocery stores and how to use the combo washer dryer. That appliance was not great and we never fully understood how to use it. In terms of activities, we highly recommend the Wednesday market in town which was amazing -- so much better than in Gordes. We also went kayaking down the Sorgne river (Kayak Vert) and rented electric bikes which we rode to Les Baux. Such an amazing ride with stunning mountain views that most normal people would not be able to do without the assistance provided by the electric motor in the bike. Also beautiful is the sanitarium where Van Gogh received treatment right outside of town. The cloisters there are gorgeous as is the lavender. you can walk to it from town. It's not the Abbaye de Senanque but much closer and not overrun by tourists in horrible tour buses. Finally, if you want to ride bikes, there is a nice 5 mile trail near the house. The bike store can tell you where it is

Lovely living just close enough to town

We loved our week in Provence, pretending to live as locals, in this wonderful townhouse, surrounded by gardens and flowers in full bloom. We were two couples, each living on our own floor, enjoying our privacy, happily meeting downstairs at the dining table - either the one inside or the one on the lovely patio. We were very happy.

Best place to stay in St Remy!

Villa Nova is without a doubt the best place to stay when visiting St Remy. Nicolás and his family are most helpful and the unit is very clean and well appointed. This is our second time at this villa and we hope to return for a month next year.
