About this property

Full of charm, authentic and renovated cottage Honfleur (Normandy)

Very peaceful and always with sun inside thanks to numerous and big windows (South and west).
The house was completely renovated in 2023: modern kitchen opening open on the dining room, bay windows - double glazing - new bathrooms and totally repainted in warm tones. There is a hudge cheminee with large TV and confortable saloon..
There is a geant trempoline for kids in the garden and we have , if you need, a baby bed and baby chair.

There are poneys / horses. They live in a field of the property (separated from the garden). They will make your children happy !

With SUPPLEMENT (necessary)
- Wood (logs) for the fireplace (from October to April) : 10€ / day
- A supplement is requested for animals (20€ / stay)

IN OPTION, if you wish :
- The bed linen and towels can be provided
(25 € / double bed & 20€ / extra single mattress - there are 2). The beds are then made on your arrival and towels are provided.

Possibility of meals prepared and / or served at home by a young local chef.
Possibility of baby-siting by an experienced mom !
Nathalie also proposes to pick up your drive food shopping before your arrive.

Beautiful property

We had a great stay. Beautiful property and a very responsive host. Honfler is a little distance away, but the spacious and peaceful surroundings more than make up for that.

Beautiful Normandy Cottage

What a delightful property. The recent renovations are clearly high quality and have resulted in a successful blend of modern comforts while retaining the charm and character of the property. It was perfect for our multi-generational visit.

Normandie tour

Wonderful house in the village Ablon close to the nice city Honfluer. Very peacful surroundings and a lovely garden. The hoar Marion was very helpful and everything went very smooth. We can really recommend this house!

Exactly how you can see in the photos and more. Full immersion in the coutryside but at 15 mins from the beautiful Honfleur. Perfect for 8 people - we were two families - furnished with great personality.

Christmas in peace

Beautiful old cottage with plenty of character. Huge fireplace which was the focal point for our family Christmas. The boiler played up during our stay but it was dealt with efficiently by Charlotte - who even came out on Christmas Day. Marion rang regular to ensure we were comfortable. Fabulous stay and would highly recommend for family get togethers. We visited Honfleur during our visit which was beautiful and will be back.

Like Staying at Your Friend's French Country Estate

My family of 4 adults loved our stay in Honfleur at Marion's property. It was like borrowing your friend's vacation home in Normandy...so charming with exposed beams, high ceilings, large fireplace and comfy couch. The kitchen appliances are all high end and the four bedrooms (two are connected) and two bathrooms worked great. We loved feeding carrots and stale bread to the ponies onsite. Location was perfect for our itinerary (which included Rouen and the Normandy coast). It was very quiet with lots of parking. The nearby town of Honfleur is super charming and well worth a visit. We had a few minor issues during our stay (lack of hand soap, TP, and paper towels upon arrival, and a washing machine leak) but Marion was super responsive over email and we were able to resolve the issues relatively quickly.

Gorgeous Thatched Roof Home in Rural Normandy

Memories of this beautiful home and the fun we had here will stay with us. It is surprisingly spacious--we were six adults and we were all in comfortable beds (although one sibling was in a room only accessible through a door in the room of another sibling). There are two comfortable bathrooms, neither of which is en-suite, which is very helpful for a group. The landscape was so green, and shimmered with dew in the morning--several of us did yoga out in the yard. We enjoyed feeding the ponies carrots. Our family played games on the table by the huge couch in front of the hearth. You must have a car to access this home in Ablon, about 20 minutes from Honfleur. With our rental car, in three days we had great visits to Honfleur, Trouville, Etretat, and we had started from Rouen--so it was a great homebase, although not in the port of Honfleur. We had a hiccup with our entry instructions, which gave us a scare, but soon we were just delighted with the rental, and will return if possible some other time!

Très belle chaumière normande idéale pour une grande familie. Jolie vue de la baie vitrée du coin repas sur le terrain avec les poneys. La cheminée est aussi très agréable. Honfleur est à proximité en voiture

Großes gemütliches und sehr charmantes Haus in einem parkähnlichen Grundstück. Die Lage ist ideal zum Erkunden der Normandie. Allerdings liegt das Ferienhaus nicht direkt in Honfleur - wie Angaben bei Fewo-direkt vermuten lassen.

Altes Haus mit Charme und Charakter

Ein tolles Fachwerkhaus mit viel Platz und großem Garten. Die Kinder haben insbesondere das Füttern der Ponys und das Trampolin sehr zu schätzen gewusst. Alles ist sauber und alles Nötige ist vorhanden. Die Gartenmöbel könnten generell eine kleine Auffrischung vertragen. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und zuverlässig. Wir kommen gerne Wieder.

Week-end en famille en Normandie mai 2024

My little Normandy c'est un vrai petit coin de paradis, surtout quand il fait beau comme ce week-end de l'Ascension ! La propriété est magnifique, la nature y est belle avec sa verdure et les hortensias sont impressionnants, les chevaux sont tranquilles et nous offrent un havre de paix. La chaumière est authentique et chaleureuse, avec ses poutres et sa mezzanine, une vraie maison de famille ! Tout est fait pour passer d'agréables moments : dehors avec ce magnifique soleil pour manger à l'ombre des arbres, ou à l'intérieur dans l'espace repas et la cuisine très bien aménagée (on s'est régalé avec le poisson et les moules de la criée à Honfleur) ; autour de la cheminée où nous avons fait un feu la première soirée ; dans les chambres avec la douceur des couettes ; les salles de bains sont confortables et l'entrée majestueuse et accueillante ! C'est magnifique et spacieux, tout est décoré avec goût ! Petits et grands tout le monde a bien profité ! Encore merciii, nous avons passé de très agréables moments dans votre belle chaumière !

I could not live without my children, Manon 11 years and Raphael 9 years. They each have passions that we live together. Manon spend her life in poney club and Raphael on the greens. They also leave toys in our house ... I like good times with friends. We made many parties in our house, always with a great atmosphere ... you see now!
My husband (Jacques) is company president and I work in human ressources as manager.

Why they chose this property

We baught this property in 2007 before mooving in Nantes las year. We felt in love with this property as we are lovers of charm and authenticity.
A gardener takes care of the proprty all year round.
The house is fully in the country side and you will only take 5 mns by car to go to Honfleur and 20 mns to go to Deauville.
In the village of Ablon, you can find a little restaurant with pizzas to take off, food and bakery.
