The Apollo is one of the nicest buildings on Marco Island. It is a well-kept building with a friendly atmosphere. Security is given high priority and there is a rolling program of maintenance and a manager's office on site which keeps standards up. With no road between the building and the beach, the only thing keeping you from sinking your toes in the white sand is a visit to the privately owned restaurant and bar located in the complex.

We are not one of the newly renovated units and this is reflected in our pricing. Our unit is clean and comfortable and is equipped with everything needed for your stay in paradise. All units have the same million dollar view!!! If you are looking for a more affordable stay, our unit is the place for you.

Your stay at the Apollo includes air conditioning and access to elevators, laundry facilities, a swimming pool and hot tub, tennis courts, and covered parking and a TOP FLOOR view. The beach is fairly firm for walking, consisting of tiny fragments of shell. Shell collecting and beach walking are popular pastimes among guests at the Apollo.

Marco Beach is a place to fall in love with. From your balcony, you look out on to a fabulous three and a half mile beach with access via a short boardwalk over protected seagrass. If you choose to stay within the comforts of your unit, you can sit on the included lounger, chairs and table and still see the beach with pelicans and seabirds flying above, dolphins hanging around in the Gulf and in season turtles that come ashore in the moonlight to lay their eggs. A spectacular sunset over the water can be seen every night from your west facing balcony.

The view was 5 stars, but the condo itself is about 2.5 stars. Advertised as a 4 person condo, but only 3 available bath towels. One of the counters, that is conveniently not pictured is literally a painted piece of wood. It served our needs as a place to sleep and keep our stuff dry while we were at the beach. Sunset view from balcony made up for what the condo was lacking.

We are a fully stocked unit. Many extra towels, sheets and blankets are located in the hall closet and the bedroom chest. A simple text could have solved your problem instead of resulting in an invalid complaint.

Great location at the south end of the Island. Beautiful wide beach with access from the condo building. Several beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers in the outside closet came in very handy! The sunsets are like you see on the postcards. Would not hesitate to stay here next time.

The building is clean and well managed. A great location. The unit itself is worn and needs updating. The furniture is worn. We found another place to stay rather than spend a second night. Disappointing!

We are not sure what your reasoning for this review is, especially since you DID stay the entire time-even though your review says you didn't. It couldn't have been that bad. This condo has the perfect view- 10 star for that. There are soooo many rules that my last night was spent freaking out about them. I never saw anything in the original listing about bringing your own consumable products-toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods. All of that is ridiculous for the price you pay & many people fly in, so what a pain that would be. The condo is nothing like what I'm used to in regards to decor & comfortable furnishings. 4 people can stay but I wouldn't recommend it- it's too small for that- plus if 4 stay then you get to wash sheets or pay 25 to have them washed for you even though you pay extra to have extra people. Some rules are not in the book & some are taped inside a kitchen cabinet. If you leave more than 1 set of sheets & 4 towels you are charged 25. You cant leave too much sand in the drains or you get fined. We just felt that there were all these rules & if you broke them you were fined. I messaged the owner a couple times & had quick responses so that was good. I wouldn't stay in this condo again. You do get a great view, quiet atmosphere & they do have beach towels, chairs & umbrella to take down to the beach. We go to tons of places & the overall satisfaction is about a 6 out of 10. I gave them a higher rate because of the view.

The Apollo is not a hotel. These are privately owned residences. As such, we have rules to follow just like any other rental home(not corporation) would. The rules are explained before you even book the unit. If they did not suit your needs, perhaps a different venue would have been a better choice for you.

The view was lovely, but the entire unit needs an update including furnishings. The couches were dirty, the tile was chipped with discolored grout and the island counter top was painted plywood. It would not be realistic or practical for four people to stay in this unit.

Great stay

Great property overall, very clean, and the condo had everything we needed. It's a bonus having a bar/restaurant in the complex, and the food and service were great. We plan on coming back, and the owners made the whole process super easy.

My wife and I first found and fell in love with Marco Island while driving around Florida in 1993. Back then, all we could do was dream we might get back there someday. In April of 2014 we stayed in the Apollo for our 25th anniversary trip. Well, we still loved it and in December we returned and bought a little piece of paradise... Unit 1003 in The Apollo. I am a retired fire fighter and my wife is a recently retired teacher in New Jersey. We have 2 children, 28 yo Jake and 26 yo Rachel. In a few short years the kids will be off on their own and we will be retired in Marco Island, until then we are fortunate enough to be able to share Marco Island with our family and friends and our friends we don't know yet. 'You can't make old friends.'

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location. The Apollo offers everything the vacationing couple or small family could want. Everything in the complex is conveniently located. Short walk to the beach, pool, hot tub, fitness center, tennis, laundry and on-site bar/restaurant. Pride in ownership resounds throughout the building.
Located in the desirable South Marco area, access to restaurants and other conveniences is easy. We are only a phone call away to make sure your vacation a 5 star stay!

What makes this property unique

The Sunset Grille is on the first floor for snacks, dinner or drinks. Apollo is one of the few beach front buildings with weekly rentals available on Marco Island.
