French-style presbytery with private pool

Classified Historical Monument, this former presbytery of the 17th century. entirely renovated is located in a dominant position and implanted on a ground of 5000 m ². Located in a quiet village and surrounded by vineyards, 20 km south-east of Bordeaux.

With a capacity of 10 people with 5 double bedrooms (including two master suites) and 3 bathrooms.

Whether you want to spend your days relaxing by the pool or in front of one of the chimneys, whether you want to venture into the darkness of the countryside, go and taste the wines of Bordeaux in one of the countless vineyards around or sightseeing in Bordeaux, you are in the right place!

Bordeaux is the fifth largest city in France and was voted best European city in 2018. In addition to being the world capital of the wine industry, Bordeaux (after Paris) has the largest number of historic buildings preserved from all the cities of France and is often called "Petit Paris". The cultural, artistic and musical scenes are very dynamic. Bordeaux is only 20 minutes away and worth a detour.

I would be happy to give you good advice on places to visit and what to see.

The Bordeaux wine route in Saint-Emilion, Pomerol, Fronsac has a worldwide reputation and is a 30 minute drive from the house. Village Saint-Emilion is a must-see World Heritage site and ideal for a visit and a meal. Go back with a box of famous macaroons.

Also the Médoc can be reached in 40 minutes with all the world famous wines of Margaux, St. Julien, Pauillac, St. Estephe and the appellations of Haut Médoc. It is a very nice circuit and Pauillac is a very charming choice for lunch.

Many sports and relaxation activities are possible around: golf (Medoc), water skiing, horse riding, mountain biking, VTC (rental on request) with more than 400 km of specialized cycle paths called "The Wine Route", SPA at the castle Smith Haut Lafitte (The Caudalies)

A 50-minute drive away, the town of Arcachon offers superb beaches and the opportunity to enjoy good seafood, including excellent oysters.

Lacanau and its famous surf beaches are west of Arcachon.

The surroundings of our house are full of welcoming villages. If you are looking for antiques, you will find many flea markets.

In the center of Langoiran you will find groceries, bakery, butcher, florist, tobacco and supermarket.

The area is beautiful and the historical heritage very rich in our region.

Our house is intended especially for lovers of sweetness of life and family meals accompanied by good wines.

Services of a cook, a pastry chef or a private driver on request. Babysitting or cleaning is also available on request.

Bordeaux 2023

We had an amazing stay here. The place was magical, like living in a castle. Nathalie was the warmest, most helpful host one could imagine!!! We loved walking the country roads, shopping at the local farmer’s markets and enjoying many meals with fresh ingredients. And Nathalie knows where the wonderful restaurants are!! The saddest part of the whole month we were there was the leaving!!!

Woderful chateau in vine field

Great and calm house in middle of grape ward. Thank you for allowing us to taste fresh grapes. It was really great experience for 7 family members. The road to SanitMillion is another fancy experience to enjoy. Small and a little foggy relaxaed road in early morning is a art by itself.

Amazing holiday home

We stayed at Nathalie’s property for 3 weeks, with family and friends and it was nothing short of amazing. The home is even better in real-life with a stunning garden and wonderful views of the vineyards surrounding the property. The property is a short drive from the local village which has a large supermarket and a couple of boulangeries, which is very convenient. The location is also ideal - 30 mins away from Bordeaux and St Emilion but you can drive 15 mins in any direction to explore several of the other lesser known wine regions Bordeaux has to offer, all of which are fantastic. There are even a few vineyards in walking distance from the house (Chateau Biac and Chateau Langoiran). Nathalie was also a wonderful host, providing many excellent recommendations and Evelyne, the caretaker, was so friendly and helpful too. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Amazing property

A group of 9 friends celebrating 40th birthdays hired the property for 4 nights. What an amazing time we all had. The Chateaux was outstandingly beautiful and very homely and well equipped. It was beautiful spending time in such a grand place. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The swimming pool was a perfect addition to cool down in. We had a chef come in one evening which was a great experience and all arranged with via the host. The host was amazing and always on hand for any queries prior to and during the trip. Highly recommend staying here.

Tolle Woche mit der Großfamilie

Wir hatten hervorragende sieben Tage auf dem wunderbaren, sehr großzügigen Anwesen. Zwei Familien mit je 5 Personen haben wunderbar viel Platz und Gelegenheit für gemeinsame und bei Bedarf auch einsame Momente. Im Haus ist es großartig und stilsicher mit dem entsprechenden Charme der Jahrhunderte. Das Grundstück ebenso mit großem Pool und Wiese und allem, was man sich wünscht. Die Lage traumhaft in den Weinbergen und mit schnellem Anschluss an Bordeaux Stadt und die Umgebung. Die charmante Patina der Gartenmöbel mochten wir, indes hätten wir für die Großfamilie noch etwas mehr Gestühl brauchen können. Ein sicher leicht zu erfüllender Wunsch. Noch hervorzuheben ist das äußerst sympathische und hilfsbereite Gastgeber-Ehepaar.

Nous avons passé un séjour de rêve dans cet ancien presbytère. Les photos ne peuvent pas montrer la réel beauté de de lieu, c'était juste magique. L'entretien du lieu est parfait et les activités à disposition nous ont comblées. Mention spéciale pour le délicieux repas concocté par Sylvie. Les cannelés maison sont un régal. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter dans ce lieux des que l'occasion se présentera! Merci encore à Nathalie et à Sylvie pour ce séjour magnifique.

Our property is located in the countryside and is surrounded by vineyards. It is a quiet environnement with a few neighbors and I cherish the good relationship with them, that’s the reason why I expect quiet stays from my visitors. The views from most of the bedrooms are splendid !

What makes this property unique

Our house is a historical monument which was built in 1640. It was renovated throughout the centuries. It is a Maison Forte rather than a Castel although it looks like a little Castel because of its towers. There is a total of 171 Maisons Fortes in France while there are 45000 castles ! Our place is unique !
