What a hidden little gem of a holiday let Chapel House is with a great location for exploring south wales, two balconies with amazing views of caerphilly and surrounding hills, the cottage itself is lovely inside all mod cons and ver comfortable
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage. Everything we needed and some very welcome touches like bread and tea coffee. Located on a very busy road made it a little hectic pulling into and out of the driveway for me, but was generally quiet at night. Great location to everything. Would definitely recommend to others.
The cottage is well equipped and suited us for a short stay in the area. It doesn't look much from the outside, especially with the chapel next door being empty, but don't let that deter as the inside has been tastefully renovated. There are nice towels and bed linen. Overall a comfortable place to stay.
A clean, well present led cottage that was perfect for our needs in attending an event in Cardiff.
Met by host on arrival with some milk and bread. Fab.
So much better than a hotel due to it’s rustic
but modern charm. Close to Careaphilly
and anywhere in the area. Stayed 11 nights
and never slept better. Very clean and well
maintained property with great views.
Lastly Laura was very accessible for questions
and wanted us enjoy our stay while celebrating
our grandsons wedding.

Really good condition and helpful hosts
Great welcome pack with essentials. House is in really good condition with everything you need for your stay. I would recommend having a car if you stay here. Great views as well (when it's not raining). We have a 4 year old and a 10 month old and it was suitable for them with supervision. Would recommend and Would stay again.

Great contact with host Laura. Lovely little cottage. Nice welcome gift. Lots of character. Everything you need to get you started for the stay. Lovely and clean.
Property exactly as described, well equipped and was cosy and welcoming. Exceptional views from the terrasses. The birdsong was amazing. Ideally situated to visit Caerphilly and its castle as well as visits to Cardiff and beyond. Excellent communication with the owner from the beginning. Would not hesitate to book this property again if we are in the area
Chapel House is cozy and comfortable. The location is close to the Caerphilly center and was a great base for us to explore Wales. The parking was sometimes a little intense but even though the road in front of the house was often busy the house itself is well insulated and very quiet. Laura the host was very nice and responsive. Overall a great stay and we recommend.

Beautiful modern cottage
My family & I loved our weeks stay in Laura & Davids cottage, it's beautifully decorated/ furnished and clean. We were extremely surprised by the very generous welcome basket that was provided and the lovely welcome card.
We will definitely try and book to stay again as there's so much more of South Wales we need/want to explore !!!
Thank you Laura & David for letting us stay.

Brilliant. Everything we could have asked for and more.
Brilliant little propert has everything we needed! Also has a great little book to show all the hard work that went into the development of the property! Owners were helpful and helped us out when we needed! Such a nice and relaxing place to stay only regret is not staying for long enough as we didn't want to leave. Thank you again we will definitely be back soon.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Chapel House. Thank you for your lovely review . We look forward to welcoming you again soon. Kind Regards, Laura & David
We enjoyed our time at the Chapel House, the birds in the morning on the back deck, and Laura’s excellent communication with us before and during our stay.
Great little house with wonderful views. The house was very clean, modern and full of character. We came on a very cold wet evening so getting the log fire on was a real pleasure. There is a little road noise at rush hour like the description says but it would only be a problem for the lightest of sleepers

Disliked: Location
The outside of the property was a little run down however inside the property was very clean and comfortable, the only issues we found were the door to the bathroom from the double bedroom was broken along with the toilet seat that would slip off when you sat on it. Views from the balcony were lovely. The property is on a fairly busy main road but this wasn’t a huge issue for us. Think the outside areas could do with a little attention! Overall very clean and well equipped!
Great homely cottage. Easy access location. Easy 25mins to Cardiff city centre. Clean with cosy bedrooms. Fantastic pubs within 2minute drive, takeaways 5 minute drive. Instant communication with owner Laura. Road can get noisy till 11 at night, but didn't affect our sleep. Just have to bear in mind infants need to stay in bedroom away from roadside. Modern amenities and a warm welcome. Would definitely return.

Lovely cottage but noisy road
The property was lovely and exceptionally clean, very spacious.
Comfortable beds.
2 lovely balconies looking out at wonderful views and scenery, to sit out the back which were very private.
Overall the cottage was lovely. Just the stairs were quite steep, and getting a large suitcase up the stairs was quite difficult.
The noisy traffic from the main road was relentless, and spoilt what could have been a very peaceful place.

Hi Yvonne. I think 3 stars is very disappointing considering we explicitly mention that the cottage is on a main road and therefore there is traffic noise. Also we were very accommodating answering numerous daily questions which again could be found in the cottage information pack. We also mention in the property description that the stairs are steep. This information was at your disposal and you chose to book anyway so to mark us down for things we have no control about is very disappointing and ultimately affects our host score. Extremely disappointed.
