We have recently completely renovated The Coach House and live less than 2 miles away. We have tried to create a tranquil holiday retreat combining high quality furnishings with original features to achieve a traditional yet contemporary ambience. As we live nearby we know and love the area and can give you lots of suggestions of places to visit to make the most of your stay whether it is fell-walking in the Lakes, activities for the children, restaurants or coffee shops.

Why they chose this property

Close your eyes. Picture yourself in your own country idyll. Relax into the leather chesterfield and revel in the views of the garden from the picture windows. Listen to the logs crackling in the stove and soak up the traditional yet contemporary ambience surrounding you. Are you smiling? Then you're almost here.
Step outside into the garden. It's a feast for the eyes. A large lawned cottage garden and a haven for birds and wildlife. You are at one with nature. How many species of birds can you see? Maybe a little star gazing tonight? No streetlights here to spoil the night sky and no noise to spoil your sleep except for maybe an owl or two. Blissful silence!!
The Lake District, England’s premier National Park is on your doorstep. Your playground for the week. In no time at all you can be fell walking, rock climbing, sailing or simply marvelling at the landscape immortalised by Wordsworth and Coleridge. If you haven’t already been here it is simply stunning. If you have, it’s understandable why you are coming back.
Fancy a short walk from the door? Go across the fields and walk up Helm Hill. From the top look across to the Lake District mountains. Turn around and almost touch the Yorkshire Dales, the Howgills and Three Peaks. A little further around and there's the sea at Morecambe Bay
Stroll back home. How about a relaxing soak in the double ended free-standing bath and plan tomorrow. You might prefer to stay at home to recharge your batteries with a day in your private garden or snuggle up with a good book and glass of wine. We have a selection of books and games for your enjoyment.
