Family Reunion and Wedding in Rustington

We enjoyed a wonderful week long stay at this beautiful house, which was perfect for our needs (13 people). The house is overall in great condition, with a garden for kids including soccer goals and other fun activities. The location is great. The host is responsive and attentive and there are myriad instructions covering a number of areas. This is the home of the hosts so expect clothing items and other goods - but we had no problem with these. Would recommend upgraded towels and new knives - we had some difficulty cutting. Overall this house was perfect for our needs.

Beautiful house, great location and everything we needed

We stayed for a three-generation break over Easter and the house was perfect for us. Plenty for the children to play with and lots of space for the grown-ups to break away for a bit of peace and quiet when needed! The location a few minutes from the beach is lovely, and incredibly peaceful. The owners were welcoming and were accommodating when we needed to arrive a little early to fit in an airport run to collect some of the family. Comfortable beds, plenty of excellent showers (and hot water), and even toothbrush chargers! We married while we were down there so the beautiful house will live on in our memories through our photos. Thank you Fiona and Robert.

Very comfortable and spacious with everything to make your stay enjoyable. Our host thought of every detail and made us so welcome. We lived in the large kitchen diner which meant we could all cook, eat and chat together - just what you want at Christmas time.

We both work locally in the boating and property industries, and we feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of Sussex — we truly couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.
We hope you’ll enjoy our home and the local area just as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

This is a wonderful, large house with lots of space for large family gatherings of all different ages and loads of local attractions. We have 3 ground floor bedrooms so we can cater for the less mobile guests. We have scooters and lots of other toys to play with. The house is within walking distance from the beach through a private estate. There are local sandy beaches just a short drive from the house or you can head north to the South Downs National Park or the Angmering Park Estate for wonderful walks and views. There is a microclimate here and the weather is generally better than London and on average 1-2 degrees warmer than the rest of the UK.
There are lots of activities for kids with a mile of the house: Out of Bounds Centre with climbing, bowling, adventure golf, golf driving range, foot golf, soft play and adventure nets.
There is also a seaside funfair at Harbour Park in Littlehampton on the sea front.
The promenade from Rustington to Littlehampton is a great place to walk, run, cycle or skate.
There is also a miniature railway and crazy golf, skate ramps and cinema on the sea front in Littlehampton. There is an indoor pool and sports centre also on the sea front.
You will probably spend most of your time in the large kitchen/ dayroom/ dining room (100m2) as it has a wood burner, TV, sofa and chairs and it's a very sociable place to be.

What makes our home special is the perfect blend of Victorian elegance and modern luxury. We fell in love with its beautiful period architecture and have extensively and sympathetically renovated it to restore its original charm while adding contemporary comfort.
Almost all the original Victorian features remain — including decorative coving, fireplaces, and a stunning stained glass front door — preserving the home’s character and sense of history. Complementing these are two new marble ensuite bathrooms and a spectacular 100m² kitchen extension, designed as a modern social hub where everyone can gather, cook, and relax together.
We also love the home’s proximity to the sea, with the beach just a short stroll away, and the addition of our private gym means you can work out without ever leaving the house.
