great spring break

Traveled to Sedona with the family for the first time and would come back. The unit was set up perfect and staff were very receptive to our needs. All hikes were about 40 min drive away.

Misinformation -

I’m sure I would have enjoyed my stay if I’d been permitted entry. My first email communication when inquiring for my dates was if there was parking for my SUV and a 14’ cargo trailer and I received a response that would be no problem. Well...it was a problem. At check-in I was told by the front desk of the resort that policy had changed some 8-months ago and they no longer allowed trailers of any kind. Paul, the front desk agent at Diamond Resort, was very helpful in assisting me in canceling and, after some communication with a higher up, assured me I would be receiving a full refund. I have yet to see that but I understand those things can take a few days. Long story longer...it would be extremely helpful if the number to the actual resort and not just the owner of the timeshare was provided so a guest can verify all information prior to checking in.

Was moved to an older resort by Diamond Resorts

VRBO allowed Diamond Resorts to move us to another older resort 2 days before our arrival. When we arrived, the desk did not have our reservation and later discovered that we were moved to a third older resort. There was no offer to compensate us for the two changes by the resort. If VRBO cannot manage this for us, why do we pay VRBO a fee?? The cable tv did not work for the first 25% of our stay. The WiFi was slow and nearly useless. Poor cell coverage at the resort made finding restaurants or activities an offline process. The closest pool to our condo was closed. The resort still charged the resort fee. Sedona is beautiful and worth visiting. We did not receive what we booked and paid for. Diamond Resorts and VRBO will not likely have our future business.

Not as advertised!

We stayed in unit #1801 from Sunday March 7, 2021, checked out on Saturday March 13, 2021. We were extremely disappointed with the condition of the unit, rodent problem, & lack of amenities you advertised both in the unit, on premises, and at the resort. When we checked in we were not advised of a rodent problem. However in the unit there were two large rodent traps. March 12th we observed several rodents going from under the dishwasher to under the range. We moved one of the traps, within 10 minutes caught one. We called guest services, they sent a maintenance man to take care of the rodent. There was also an old message on the phone from guest services to guests from the week prior, regarding a rodent problem. Other problems during our stay: The unit you advertised shows photos and states a jetted tub. False; there is only a soaking tub. The kitchen information says there is a grill. False; there was no grill in the kitchen nor on the patio. The only grill was across the parking lot at another unit. Balcony; you advertised this unit with a balcony. False; no balcony, just a patio surround by rock strewn with trash, cigarette butts, etc. Also; light fixture hanging. Toilet running continually. No working hot tub at the bldg. No massage services. Dumpsters overflowing. Ice machine outside inoperative. I have full documentation with videos, photos, & witnesses. I expect a complete, prompt refund of costs & fees associated with this reservation plus our airfare.
