The small, picturesque village of Hutton Buscel lies five miles south west of Scarborough, quietly situated on a hillside, with glorious views over open countryside. Pretty stone cottages and houses line the main street from end to end in this ancient, well kept village. The original 12th century church was altered in later periods and has been fully restored, and also has links to the famous Whitby Abbey. East Ayton lies just a mile below the village and has a good local shop, fish and chip restaurant and country pub. The stunning scenery in and around the Forge Valley is ideal for walkers, with many woodland and open countryside tracks, whilst the popular seaside town of Scarborough is only a few minutes’ drive.
