About this property
Bright Contemporary House with Large Private Garden
Enjoying a quiet setting on the edge of the picturesque village of Strathpeffer, this detached architect-designed house has been equipped and furnished to ensure as comfortable and relaxing a holiday as possible. Just a few minutes walk from the centre of this beautiful spa village, Peffer Lodge makes an ideal base for exploring the many activities and attractions of this scenic part of the Highlands.
Mountain biking on the local forest trails, walking and climbing, water sports, fishing and golf with a challenging 18-hole course in the village are just some of the wide variety of activities. There is also an equestrian centre about 7 miles away where you can enjoy horse riding. For the less energetic, take a stroll along one of the many beaches of the Moray Firth where you may catch a glimpse of the resident dolphins or meander around some the many picturesque fishing villages. Culloden Battlefield, Loch Ness and the Highland capital of Inverness are all less than an hour’s drive. Further afield, take a trip west to the Isle of Skye, Eilan Donan Castle and NTS Inverewe Gardens or north to the stunning land and seascapes of Sutherland and Caithness – often known as Europe’s last great wilderness. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.25 miles.
Available all year: changeover day is normally Saturday, but the owners can be flexible. Departing guests are asked to be out before 10am and new guests to arrive after 4pm. Short breaks are available off peak . Please enquire.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not allow parties, events or get togethers. If this rule is broken we may have no choice but to ask you to leave. Parking is restricted to 4 cars and 4 cars only.
We request that our guests keep noise to a minimum and no noise between 10.30pm and 8.30pm please.
We have neighbours and although we do our best to accommodate guests it is very important that our neighbours are also respected.
Absolutely no smoking indoors.
