This was such a wonderful stay it right across the street from the Castle Tavern. The rooms were very comfortable. If you have a group I would definitely stay here and enjoy the stay. It very walkable to restaurants and bars. The kitchen is great we used it to make breakfast.
Exceptional stay. Location was perfect. Beautiful views of the castle. Tavern across the street was very convenient and fun. Would love to stay here again. The host was attentive, helpful, and accommodating. Thank you so much!
We had a lovely stay in Inverness and this beautiful home made our trip extra special. Perfect location, clean, comfortable and full of charm. We will definitely be back!
This location was perfect. A short walk to main downtown, fun pub just across the street. This house has so much character and love the renovations done. Very cozy, clean and we enjoyed are stay here. There are a number of steps from street level to get up to the house.
The property is in a great location. Currently the roads around the property are under some construction, but walkable to main things as well as tour pick ups etc. we would stay here again. It was lovely
The house was perfect, it makes us feel like home, the location was excellent and the amenities all was very good. As he mentioned one thing was kinda complicated to put the address in the navigation system, was hard to find it, but thanks to all the directions David provided us, we were able to find it.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Great location. Magda the house keeper was a total gem. Would stay here again without hesitation. Only negative was parking and ease of getting luggage in and out, but can't be helped.
Very comfortable with good water pressure and comfortable beds. Great location for exploring town and restaurants. Kentucky bourbon available at the liquor stores. Clean and well supplied kitchen.
Beautiful home in the perfect downtown location. Our family loved the amenities and the bedrooms were lovely. Our kids spent long nights playing chess in the dining room. Will definitely stay in this home again if we come back to Inverness.
This is a beautiful, well maintained historical home. Ideally located for access to restaurants, shopping, parks and the waterfront. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. We appreciated the welcome package that included bread, cereal, milk, coffee and tea. The home is beautifully kept and clean. There are a variety of seating areas that included extras such as puzzles, games and books. The beds are comfortable and the towels are large and exceptional quality. The host was fantastic and helpful! We would highly recommend this rental.
Well situated within easy walking distance of the riverside pedestrian trail, shops, and restaurants. The castle is literally the first thing you see out the window. Spacious and well kept rooms and elegant atmosphere.
We had a great time here. House was in a great, walkable location and we had no issues. A few questions upon arrival were quickly answered, and we appreciated the welcome gifts! Thank you for a great stay!
Excellent property. David was very welcoming. Close to town. A little tricky getting a taxi but luckily the Castle pub is across the street and taxis can stop there
Great location to downtown and the property itself, is wonderful. Roomy, well stocked with necessities and we felt like we were in a “castle” of our own for a few days. When we come back to Inverness, we will get this property if available.
Could not have picked a better accommodation for our visit. Loved this house. Excellent location and equipped with everything to meet our needs. Five stars across the board.

Loved this house. It was beautiful, comfortable and convenient to the town center. View of the castle from windows! Responsive hosts! It was lovely to come in after a day of touring the area and sit with a glass of wine in front of fire. Super restaurants within walking distance.
We spent 4 days and 3 nights in Inverness. Perfect location as we walked to town and were close to shopping, eating and pubs. House was well appointed and had the perfect separation of space. Would satay here again on next trip to Inverness.

Why they chose this property
Dunvegan-Inverness is an ideal base to explore Inverness and the surrounding area. It's very close to the city centre, yet set sufficiently apart from the bustle for you to feel relaxed and comfortable.
There are lots of cosmopolitan pubs, restaurants and coffee shops within easy reach; and you can walk northwards to the railway station in the city centre (0.5 miles away) or the main shopping area within 10-15 minutes. On the other hand, if you turn south along the riverbank, you'll reach the tranquility of the Ness Islands (1.1 miles away) in 25-30 minutes where you can easily forget how close you are to the city!
Inverness is a natural hub - - a crossroads for all routes into and away from the Highlands, with good road, rail and air services. It's also close to many tourist attractions, including Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield, Urquhart Castle, and Cawdor Castle as well as the famous Malt Whisky Trail.
