Escape to our magnificent 6-bedroom stone house in the Scottish Highlands, comfortably hosting 12 guests. This luxury retreat offers a hot tub, expansive gardens, and a cozy wood fire. Perfectly located for exploring Loch Ness and the historic Culloden Battlefield, it's an ideal getaway for families and friends seeking adventure and relaxation in a stately setting.

Experience luxury and comfort in our stately three-story stone house, designed to host up to 12 guests.

Living Areas: Two large, distinct lounges for relaxation. One features a cozy wood fire, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.
Kitchen & Dining: A vast, modern, and fully equipped chef's dream kitchen. The adjacent dining table comfortably seats your entire group of 12.
Bedrooms: Six stylish and peaceful bedrooms. Four of the bedrooms are en-suite for added privacy and convenience.
Bathrooms: In addition to the en-suites, there is a spacious family bathroom.
Comfort: Enjoy underfloor heating throughout the entire home.
Family-Friendly: We welcome families with a dedicated workspace, an outdoor playground, children's books & toys, a crib, and a high chair.

Guests will enjoy exclusive and private access to the entire property, ensuring a secluded and personal experience.

Main House: Full access to all rooms and floors of the six-bedroom home.
Grounds: Explore and enjoy the expansive three-acre private gardens.
Outdoor Amenities: Make use of the private hot tub, BBQ area for al fresco dining, and a fire pit for evening gatherings.
Parking: Ample private parking is available on the property with space for up to 12 cars.

We believe in giving our guests complete privacy to enjoy their Highland retreat. However, we are always available and just a message or phone call away should you need any assistance, recommendations, or have any questions.

A few important details for your stay:

SAFETY NOTICE: UNFENCED POND: Please be aware that our beautiful, expansive gardens include a formal pond. This pond is 1 meter deep and is NOT fenced. We require that all guests exercise extreme caution.
CHILD SUPERVISION: It is essential that young children are supervised at all times when outdoors, especially near the pond area.
Check-in/Check-out: Detailed check-in instructions, including access details, will be sent 24 hours prior to your arrival.

Amazing scotland stay

We had a such a wonderful time staying at Paul's place. The grounds were beautiful with lots to do and the castle like house was fun and unique. Bedrooms large and comfortable. Definitley worth the stay!

It was a very cool experience staying here. The grounds are were a lot of fun for the kids and the interior is exquisitely decorated. The kitchen is big enough to feed a full house.

We absolutely LOVED our stay! The home was beautiful and clean. Beds were comfortable and we loved the bedspreads. The house smelled amazing too! It felt like home. Paul, the manager, is super nice and helpful! Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect!

We stayed in this wonderfully grand home whilst visiting the area recently. There was plenty of space for our large group of adults and children. The younger ones enjoyed the outdoor space and amenties, during our downtime. The house has obviously been lovingly restored and we are are thankful to Paul for sharing this space with us.

Highlands

Great property, very accommodating for a group of 13, one big family. Six bedrooms is very nice, also five bathrooms. Paul stays on the property and was extremely helpful at check-in and would pop over whenever we needed him. He even took me down to the river, which was a bit of a hike! Great place, would stay there again.

This is an incredible house!We had a large group and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. It felt very welcoming and we immediately felt at home. Loads of outdoor space to let the kids run wild and to explore the trails. Paul was a wonderful host. He was very responsive to messages before and during our stay. And he also gave recommendations on local places to eat and celebrate a birthday.We so wished we had more time to spend there and would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!!

Such a gem this lovely property so close to Inverness. Paul was a wonderfully gracious and helpful host amd the house was just tremendous. A currated collection of art works, furniture and collectibles made each room its own unique experience. The hot tub was a wonderful addition - one not easily found in the area. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself or a small army - we were so grateful to have so many resources at our fingertips.

Our stay at The Doune

We had a wonderful stay at The Doune. Paul greeted us when we arrived and was always available to assist with anything we needed. He was extremely responsive to any questions or issues that we had during our trip and even recommended a great day excursion for us that we thoroughly enjoyed. The house is spacious and comfortable and we especially enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and the suit of armor and other unique furnishings. We highly recommend The Doune for anyone seeking a vacation rental in Inverness. We certainly hope to return.

The villa is stunning, and provides every amenity imaginable. After a day touring the Inverness area, we loved arriving to the villa and hopping into the hot tub, which was perfectly maintained. There was absolutely no waiting for the hot tub to heat up because Paul had it hot and ready to use. Paul is the ultimate host, and it is especially nice to have his assistance available on a moments notice since he lives just down the driveway in a separate house. The bedrooms are quite comfortable, and the kitchen is supplied with every convenience. We highly recommend this property for its convenience to many sights, as well as the hot tub.

This home has been through a remarkable comprehensive renovation. It was a perfect place for our family of 11 across 3 generations to call home base for our short two day tour of the area around Inverness. Paul is very attentive and always available. Home is complete with any cooking need your might have if you are preparing your own meals. Just a short ride to downtown Inverness. We enjoyed our visit.
