This 3,200-square foot home sleeps 14 people and includes 4 bedrooms, queen sleeper sofa, 3 full baths, 2 dens, large deck overlooking the lake, washer and dryer, 3 fireplaces, screened in porch, and a fully equipped eat-in kitchen. Large den has tables/bar seating for 16.

Boat rentals and delivery available at nearby marina (Herrington, Chimney Rock and Pandora Marinas) or bring your own and take advantage of our dock and private boat ramp. Swim or fish off of the private dock.

Nearby attractions include historic Danville; Bourbon Trails; Shaker Village; golf; restaurants; Anderson-Dean Community Park and Aquatic Facility; The Great American Dollhouse Museum; state parks; horse-riding stables; bike trails; drive-in theater; live theater; canoe, rafting and kayaking trails; and shopping.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Our family thoroughly enjoyed comfy beds, a fire pit, football, food, beautiful scenery, fun games and a great layout. The kids really loved climbing around the rocks and exploring.

Great place to stay for a big group

We stayed here for my stepdaughters wedding in Danville. While a distance from the town it was well worth it. We didn’t get to enjoy just lounging around the house because of all the wedding festivities but this home is great for a big family to stay and hang out. The place was roomy for all of use with plenty of places for everyone to sleep. Everything was clean and just lovely.

Enjoyable

You have done a great job with your property. The levels, the rooms and the decks (hot tub), etc... left plenty of room for privacy, multiple living spaces, etc... thank you so very much. Tastefully decorated, etc... great place to relax. Sorry the wedding kept us so busy because this would have been a great place to simply relax and enjoy!

Blue Heron Point offers the perfect lakeside experience!

The home is large enough for multiple families with a lot of room to move about. The private boat ramp and dock are close to the house and easily accessible. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking for a crowd and lots of seating for meals and games together. The rental process was seamless and all questions were answered by the property manager. It was a wonderful family vacation that we hope to make an annual event!

Great Family Get-Away

Perfect lake place. Lots for the kids and adults to do. Fishing! Rock hunting! Kayaking! Hot tubbing! Sleeping arrangements were perfect for our 3 families. The 2 sets of Bunks with trundle and the spare air mattress slept the 6 kids perfectly. Nearby parks and Old Fort Harrod made for exciting excursions for us to explore. We will be returning....maybe in the Summer next time. Fun was had by all!

Sisters, nieces and cousins - GIRLS WEEKEND/BABY SHOWER

We all traveled from different parts of the country to meet up and host a baby shower for one of our nieces. The house was absolutely beautiful and was, by far, the CLEANEST rental I have ever stayed in. The house was well stocked with anything you could need and there was lots of room to spread out for our party of 11. We had an issue with the oven, which was out of the owner's control, but the owner was VERY quick to resolve the issue and had a new one delivered ASAP. Thank you Alissa for your great customer service and for sharing this beautiful home with us. It worked out perfectly! We would definitely like to come back to enjoy the lake and surrounding area in the future!

Driving conditions

The property was great and very roomy. The beds are comfortable and there is a lot of room to spread out. Lots of dishes, but if you're looking for "matched sets", there really aren't any. Plenty of them to meet our needs, though. One thing I would caution people about is the width of the roads going in. For the last three miles to the location, the road is very narrow (less than 2 car widths), with quite a number of blind spots. It is necessary for cars to pull to the side (depending on who has the most room and best opportunity to pull over) so the other car can pass. For about the last one-quarter mile or so, the road narrows to the width of a single-lane road. I would suggest that people not make this drive for the first time at night. Familiarity of the road is a definite plus before you drive it at night ... and even then, it's a little bit of a tense trip. Other than that, this is a great location, and it was very clean when we arrived. It had all the necessary amenities. It also had MANY more towels than I am used to in a rental property. There were more than plenty to take care of our needs (along with quite a number of "beach" towels). Overall a wonderful stay.

Spiritual retreat for group of 10 woman. We had plenty of space for arts and crafts and meals. The views from the decks were amazing. House was well stocked with towels, linens, and everything we needed for the kitchen. We enjoyed cooler evenings with a nice fire in the fire-pit. Plenty of space for parking. We rented a pontoon at one of the local marinas. Everyone that came remarked on the beautiful location and house. Would definitely stay again.

Spotless, well-equipped home in beautiful, peaceful lication

Recently returned from a week's stay: 2 couples, 1 single, and the younger couple's kids (6mo, 9, 12, 15yo) - extended family. The layout of the house was perfect for us, with all BRs & 2 of the full BAs on upper floor, a roomy, well-lit, & sensibly designed (& well-equipped!) kitchen that easily enabled 2 or more of us to be working on meal prep @ same time without tripping over each other, and plenty of dining areas - the main table was large enough to fit us all, so we kept a jigsaw puzzle going on the smaller table to the side. A nice bonus was the Wii system on the upstairs TV that kept the kids occupied on the 1 day of inclement weather. But as nice as the house was, the best part was outside: the river setting was gorgeous & peaceful, facing a densely-treed bluff. We fished from the dock every day, caught several small bass & bluegill - no keepers, but then nobody fished early AM when the bigger fish were jumping lol. Communication with the host was superb.Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice

Lovely property, very child friendly inside, beautiful big tables for family style meals, nice kitchen if you like to cook, wonderful master bedroom and areas to relax and play in. WiFi and everything worked nicely. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with. Sunrise by the water with a hot cup of coffee is a very nice experience. Also it was clean. We very much enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Very nice property. Very spacious with boat dock, hot tub and a boat ramp. My sons loved exploring the property and fishing off the dock. Very relaxing picturesque experience. Wedding party

Me, my future wife, and our wedding party had an amazing stay at the house. It was the perfect place for all of us to sleep and enjoy eachothers company. The downstairs was a perfect spot for all of us to eat and play games together with plenty of bathrooms and beds. The view was also amazing at the lake.

The overall stay was absolutely amazing. Very nice place nice quiet neighborhood great walk to the water. The only downfall that I feel is that they have a ski jet and tied up to the dock which made it hard for us because we had two boats so we had to tie one boat to the other instead of both to the dock, that’s the issue we had

A yearly tradition

My husbands family has spent summers at the lake for almost 60 years. We have just spent our fifth year at Blue Heron Point and couldn’t be more thrilled with the beautiful home. Spacious enough for the whole extended family. Beautiful view and easy access to the water.

Beautiful View of the Lake

A lovely home with plenty of whatever we needed for a few fun days with family. I loved seeing the sun come up in the morning and watching the fog rise off the lake.

Great lake access

We had a great stay at the lake. The view is stunning from the house as there's no residences across the lake to see so it's just wild and beautiful. The rocks were really fun for the children to climb on and we loved the screened in porch to eat at. We brought our own pontoon boat and it really opened up all the water fun we could've wanted. House was clean and spacious.

Amazing lakefront property

This is our fourth year renting this property. We all agreed it felt like coming home. There is plenty of space for everyone to be together or have some quiet time alone. The terrain from the house to the lake is uneven and may be difficult for the less sure-footed guest but it also keeps the natural quality of the lakefront. We love this property!

Annual Family Lake Trip

Perfect setup for a family vacation on the lake! Our 2nd year in a row! The location on the lake, the private dock with a nice umbrella, the lawn area, and screened-in porch make outdoor living ideal for a family. The house is clean, comfortable, and spacious. Parts of the house have been updated and are nice, while some things in the house are a bit worn. It is very well stocked and is just as described. We highly recommend it!

We were instantly in love with the home and believe that the property is amazing and unique. It's a great place to relax and unwind.

This house sits on a point and has a spectacular view of the lake. It is located on a quiet, private road, but is only a few miles from restaurants and other attractions.

What makes this property unique

The private boat ramp is a great perk, and the views from the upper level deck and the lower level screened-in porch are beautiful and relaxing. The great room is a large, open space which nicely accommodates a large group for meals or games.
