The Fleur de Lis, a traditionally styled unit with hints of French Dubuque, is located in the downtown Millwork District on the second floor. It is ideal for one couple but can sleep up to 4. Perfect for a romantic get-away or business, the Fleur de Lis has 1 bedroom, 2 full baths, ready to cook-in kitchen, gas fireplace, spacious living room and private hot tub on the balcony. I actually didn't stay, but...

I had booked this property for a getaway, but realized I booked the wrong date. In a panic, I reached out to Jenn who was so gracious and understanding and refunded me. We were going to rebook for this spring, but a knee surgery squashed that. If I do need a place to stay in that area, I wont hesitate to book here.

Fabulous place!

Great condo right in the middle of the downtown action. 2 full baths is a plus with this place along with the great coffee shop just downstairs. The cookies left for us were fantastic and the hot tub made for a perfect ending each evening of our stay.

Exposed brick serenity

This is my kind of place. Exposed brick, gorgeous wood floors, and a chicken print. Love the hot tub on the balcony. Above one of the best coffee shops out there. Within walking distance to shops, breweries, restaurants, and downtown. Great location - hope to be back one day.

5 stars all around!

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and were very impressed. The suite was super clean and easy to find. The staff at the coffee shop were very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! The location is perfect and was only a short 10 min or less drive from all the area attractions we visited. I would highly recommend this property!

Weekend Getaway

My spouse and I stayed over the weekend. Enjoyed the hottub and the coffee shop on the ground level. Space was clean and easy to access. Jenn was available for any questions and checked on us to make sure everything was going well.

Charming apartment above Coffee House

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. Very modern and clean apartment with balcony, hot tub and Netflix. Everything needed for a relaxing get-away for a couple. The coffee house next door is an added bonus! This is our second time staying here. Need I say more?

Beautiful city. Beautiful apartment

My daughter and I celebrated her 28 birthday in Dubuque instead of another Galena trip. As soon as we walked in we were pleased- clean, beautiful, everything you need. Parking is a couple blocks away and there are steps so pack lightly. Definitely recommend.

Perfect weekend getaway

The Fleur de Lis was the perfect condo for a girl weekend getaway. With COVID we didn't really leave except to walk and explore the river trails and get food from a the newly renovated Millwork District. The owners did a great job with COVID precautions and we felt 100% comfortable and had everything we needed right there. This property is definitely going on our list of ones to return to, with even more excitement once restrictions are relaxed!

Beautifully renovated

One of the best rentals we've stayed in with VRBO. Enjoyed the fireplace, walking around checking out the 7 Hills microbrewery and local Thai restaurant. Not far from anything you might want to do in Dubuque. Had a couple of minor issues but the owner was quick to respond and helped us get them resolved. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend a good pair of earplugs to reduce road noise.

Hanging in Dubuque's Old Iron Work District

The attention to detail in design and furnishing of this property are fantastic. Beautiful touches and decoration with two full baths make this great for a couple or couple with a child. Location is nice and despite being above coffee shop noise (other than street noise) was not noticed. Overall the property was very nice and fit what we were looking for in a weekend getaway. Bed was comfortable and nicely appointed. Couch sagged a bit toward center; but other furnishings were top notch. Kitchen was okay - only very basic pots and pans and no mixing bowls. Hot tub was great! The property missed the fourth star due to two issues - thermostat and TV Remote. The thermostat was easy to set; but unfortunately it had a hard time getting down to our set temp. Cool October days meant heat; but it was too hot for restful sleep. Sure part of the issue is due to the Coffee Shop downstairs as we could never get actual temp in unit below about 69-70 despite a 64 setting other than opening windows. During day/evening it was okay. The TV doesn't have cable or an antennae instead relying on Internet which includes Netflix and Hulu so all the channels one could want were available. This was great - problem is the remote for the TV. It was overly complex. I am not a millenial - 50 year old male; but I work in IT and create training materials. This remote was far too complex for temporary use and it took some time to finally get the hang of it. For temporary residents a lower tech approach is probably best. Overall we would stay at the property again; though Dubuque itself was a bit of a let down compared to our last visit around 5 years ago. The neighborhood where the property is found is one that is up and coming with lots of new development and restaurants (sadly none of the ones we tried were all that good.)

Cleanest place I’ve ever been in! The place was great for my sister and I getting away for a few days. Parking wasn’t great (across the street) hard to load/unload our stuff. Very limited parking in front of bldg. Don’t pack heavy as there is a lot of steps to get to the apartment. I would stay there again

My husband and I are native Dubuquers. We came up with this idea after staying at a cozy vacation rental in La Jolla, CA. It sat on top of a small restaurant that served breakfast and lunch. My husband spotted this property and approached me with the idea, stating that if I wasn't 100% in, he would just forget about it. Needless to say, I was 100% in! Now here we are! Ready to share our dream with you! We hope you will love it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We chose this property for two reasons. First, we both grew up in this area of Dubuque. Second, we love what Dubuque is doing for the downtown area and feel that the Millwork District will continue to grow and will be the place to go in Dubuque.

What makes this property unique

Being in the Millwork District of Dubuque is a huge advantage to our property. We are close to so many attractions, making your stay handy and convenient to whatever event or purpose you have to visit our beautiful city.
