Drake House: The Loft (Private Hot Tub)

No expenses were spared on this beautifully decorated suite! Located in the famous Millwork district, the Loft, a transitional modern style unit, is ideal for one couple but can sleep up to 4. It’s the perfect romantic getaway or business destination. The unit's entry point is on the second floor but has two levels within the unit itself. The main floor has a fully stocked kitchen, the deck with a private hot tub, a living area with a gas fireplace and tv and a full bathroom. The upstairs has an additional living area with pull out couch, a full bath including a rain head shower and a master bedroom furnished with a king size bed.

We hope you enjoy, relax and rejuvenate during your stay.

*Note, the entrance to the unit is in the stairwell of Charlotte's Coffeehouse. Patrons of the coffeehouse may walk by the front door to the unit during coffeehouse business hours only.

I was getting married the next day and the place was nice. There were more people than we expected so a little cramped an error on our end but overall nice place. My only biggest complaint is there is not a full size mirror so unfortunately I did not get to see what I looked like in a mirror before my wedding.

My husband and I are native Dubuquers. We came up with this idea after staying at a cozy vacation rental in La Jolla, CA. It sat on top of a small restaurant that served breakfast and lunch. My husband spotted this property and approached me with the idea, stating that if I wasn't 1000% in he would just forget about it. Needless to say, I was 1000% in and here we are! Ready to share our dream with you! We hope you will love it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We chose this property for two reasons. First, we both grew up in this area of Dubuque. Second, we love what Dubuque is doing for the downtown area and feel that the Millwork District will continue to grow and will be the place to go in Dubuque.

Being in the Millwork District of Dubuque is a huge advantage to our property. We are close to so many attractions, making your stay handy and convenient to whatever event or purpose you have to visit our beautiful city.
