Gorgeous house in the beautiful Western Algarve.

Lovely comfortable 2 bedroom house situated at Quinta do Montinho in the village of Budens, just 3km from Salema and the sea. One hour from Faro in the beautiful unspoilt Western Algarve.
We visit our house regularly and pride ourselves in it being a “home from home”. Everything you need should be there?

2 bedrooms (1 double & 1 twin), 2 bathrooms (1 en suite).
Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, iron.
Open plan lounge diner with wood burning fireplace, TV (Portuguese and satellite channels available) and DVD player,
Unlimited WiFi.
Balcony with built in barbecue. Small garden.

Shared pool with sun loungers. Usually quiet, especially outside of school holidays.

Parque da Floresta golf course is less than 1km. Driving range and golf academy also available.

Beautiful beaches and great restaurants nearby. Nearest beach 3km. The beaches on the west coast are huge, beautiful and quiet. Great for early morning and early evening walks.

Boat trips, kayaking, canoeing etc available in Lagos & Sagres (approximately 10km). Scuba diving & surf schools nearby.

Great restaurants nearby. Pizzeria and supermarket at the bottom of the hill (less than 1km).

Happy days in the Algarve

Lovely property, exactly as advertised. This was our second stay after a long gap; the surrounds remain peaceful, with lovely views and a nice big communal pool

Another fabulous stay!

Such a lovely house, in a great location. This was our 3rd time staying at this property. Really peaceful relaxing holiday. The house had everything we needed and the pool access was very welcome. The weather was amazing and we had a fantastic time.

Family holiday in Budens

Had a lovely relaxing break in this fantastic property. The property itself was spotlessly clean and vey well equipped. Louise is a very good host and the communication was excellent. I would highly recommend this property for couples and families alike.

Amazing holiday

We have had the most amazing time staying here. It is a beautiful house with everything we could have needed. We felt right at home immediately and we really couldn’t fault it. We did lots of bbq’s to make the most of such a lovely home. We are already planning to book again for next year, just wonderful!

Great location

We had a fantastic stay. Website does not do it justice. Great location as all the fantastic beaches are just a short drive away. There is a supermarket just at the bottom of the hill. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Great stay

House was conveniently located and has a balcony overlooking the village. 4 minute walk down several sets of stairs to a lovely pool - perfect for the kids. Two floors and 3 bathrooms - plenty of space for our family of 4! The directions were a little challenging but the owner was very responsive when we called for directions. We would definitely stay again, thank you!

An amazing stay

The location was interesting to find but with the directions provided by the host, easy to find! Quiet and self contained this home was amazing! The lights in the master bedroom needed to be replaced but since we didn't use them much it didn't bother us. The beds were harder than we were used to, but again, still loves out stay! The pool was awesome! Loved having a washer to wash our clothes! And the kitchen was well stocked! Ample dishes and cookware as well as seasonings. Great stay!

Up in the clouds.

Overall this property is clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful location. However I feel that it could do with a little TLC. Small issues, such as mould around the bath that needs to be dealt with, no slip mats and worn shower hoses in both bathrooms. The furniture on the balcony needs replacing as it is grimy and made brittle by the sun. Finally the outside garden area could be a nice place to relax, but unfortunately it is so overgrown that it cannot be used even if some loungers were provided.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful house

Just returned from a relaxing, beautiful week. I almost gave a lower rating for the accuracy of the description because the pictures really don't do the property justice. It is a beautiful house in a peaceful (if a little windy!) location. The swimming pool was great especially as, being out of season we often had it all to ourselves. Some basics were provided although no soap which would have been nice when we first arrived (we left ours for the next guests). You do need a car here unless you are very fit as the hill to town is long and steep! The only other thing I would have liked was a bit more information on what was nearby - good restaurants etc. Louise is great and was really helpful with one minor hitch always communicating promptly. All in all a great stay. Thank you Louise.

Fantastic stay in Budens

We had 5 weeks in this super villa. Louise (owner) was so very helpful in helping us prepare for our stay with suggestions of restaurants and other activities. Louise even sent information on the WiFi speed which was really important for me because I had to do some work remotely. The villa was regularly cleaned by the housekeeper, there was sufficient crockery, cooking utensils and cutlery for us as a couple and our two adult sons who visited briefly. The knives were nice and sharp which is essential but not often the case in rented accommodation! There were lovely extras such as heated towel rails and a huge bookshelf with lots of books in English. Parking is easy just opposite the villa which was a real plus. The location is superb, between the eastern and western Algarve so easy to visit all the wonderful beaches. The communal pool was always clean and there were sun lounges available with umbrellas as well. We particularly enjoyed the small local cafe, Vista Allegre. The owner speaks very good English and it was lovely to hang out with the locals. Coffee,pastel de nata and sandwiches were available, all at an excellent price and very good. The supermarket is just 5 minutes drive down the road and is well stocked. However a suggestion for other visitors to the area - we found the meat, fruit and vegetables of poor quality. When even carrots and potatoes go off it’s not a good sign. We moved to shop at Lidl in Vila do Bispo. Excellent quality and prices!

Séjour au calme dans maison spacieuse.

Maison idéale pour 4 personnes pour visiter le Sud Ouest du Portugal. Quartier très calme. On se gare juste devant la maison. Accès à une belle piscine partagée en contrebas du lotissement. Propriétaire charmante et réactive. Pizzeria et Intermarché à proximité du logement, c'est bien pratique. Budens est un village résidentiel. Il n'y a pas vraiment d'ambiance ou de vie de village (bars, petits commerces, restaurants...)

Enjoyable Break in pleasant surroundings

This is a lovely house, very spacious and comfortable. The Algarve is very accessible so being up on the hill is no disadvantage. Supermarket at the bottom of the hill and is well stocked. Salema and Burgau are a short ride away. A very pleasant break and Louise was very helpful.

Kritikpunkte

Jeder Mensch hat aufgrund seiner Bedürfnisse eine differenzierte Betrachtung auf meine Ausführungen zum gemieteten Objekt. 1. Bereitgestellte Anzahl an Handtüchern war mit einem Duschtuch+kleinem Handtuch pro Wo. und Person zu gering. 2. Der, in der Anzeige, als beheizt beworbene Pool war unbeheizt. Ein für diese Jahreszeit in Portugal ein unmöglicher Zustand. 3. Die sich am Pool befindlichen Sonnenliegen entsprachen nicht mehr einem ordnungsgemäßen gemütlichen Zustand. Sehr verbraucht und wenig Liegekomfort. 4. Vorm Balkon befinden sich zwei hohe Palmen die im sehr hoch und windanfälligen Lagebereich des Hauses zunehmend als laut und unangenehm betrachtet wurden. 5. Nach einer Woche wurde seitens der Reinigungskraft der Putzeimer samt Wischer direkt vor der Haustür stehen gelassen.

Maison agréable en dépit de points d'amélioration

La maison, plus spacieuse que ne le laissent penser les photos, est située dans un ensemble résidentiel en haut d'une colline très exposée au vent. Elle dispose pour seul espace extérieur d'un petit balcon avec barbecue. La piscine commune est néanmoins très grande et très agréable (transats, parasols, bassin pour les petits). La maison est globalement très confortable mais nous avons rencontré quelques désagréments : le ménage n'était pas très bien fait à notre arrivée (cheveux qui traînent, fond de café dans la cafetière, terrasse non nettoyée) ; les équipements dans la cuisine sont assez sommaires (pas de couteaux à steak par exemple, peu de vaisselle) et nous n'avons pas eu de wifi pendant toute la semaine, la gérante sur place n'étant pas capable de nous dépanner. Globalement le séjour a été agréable et le rapport qualité / prix est très correct mais des améliorations pourraient être apportées.

Another fabulous stay!

This was our second visit to this fab house. The location is great for zipping about to different restaurants and beaches. We love the area and have been coming quite a few years now. The house has a lovely feel and it had everything we needed. We were very comfortable and happy for our 2 week family holiday. The pool is a real bonus and we were in it most days. We have a real soft spot for Portugal and finding this property has made our holidays even more enjoyable.

Très belle maison bien située

Maison superbe pour un couple avec deux enfants. 15/20 min des plages de surf en voiture. Piscine commune en bas de la résidence. Hôte très réactive. On a passé un très bon séjour :-) merci !

Very nice location; perfect appartment + swimming pool; you need a car to drive to many superb beach spots around. Village does not offer any shopping possibilities, except for large supermarket
