Go wild Cabin Camping & Fishing Private Lake & Forest. Dog Heaven !

Cuckoo Lake is in the heart of the 50,000-hectare Double Forest.
It consists of a three and a half acre fishing lake located in 37 acres of private woodland.
Secluded , peaceful and with scope to fully enjoy a 'back to nature experience, the property is also only a short drive away from some of the most beautiful spots in the Dordogne.
We only ever let to one group at a time so privacy is assured and guests are able to fully enjoy this very special place.
The site is completely off grid.
Think glamping meets drive and survive ! However if you're after some quality family time away from modern distractions, real privacy and have a passion for wildlife or wild fishing this could be the venue for you !

The cabin can accommodate two guests, and tents can be pitched in the cleared area around the cabin or on the lakeside.
Dogs are welcome, up to eight per booking are included in the price !
A traditional canvas bell tent sleeping four or modern family tent can be hired and pitched prior to your arrival, or you are of course welcome to bring your own tents.

Une semaine loin de tout

Si on accepte les contraintes (douche aléatoire, toilettes à vider, alimentation en eau à surveiller), et si le temps est favorable, il s'agit d'un lieu enchanteur, en pleine nature et loin de l'agitation humaine. Les enfants doivent savoir obligatoirement nager, car l'étang est profond par endroits, mais c'est un endroit extraordinaire pour eux.

Why they chose this property

We first visited here in 2013 and bought it the next year .The cabin and lake are surrounded on all sides by woodland. No public rights of way or footpaths cross the 40 acre site. We feel like we are a hundred miles from anywhere here and we love it !

What makes this property unique

Seclusion, tranquility and real privacy. We only let to one party at a time, and we don't visit guests during the sty unless requested to.
