About this property
Renovated Downtown Cabin
Be our guests at this newly restored gem in downtown Pagosa Springs.
Old meets new at Casa hermosa. Remodeled in 2015, this house has all the modern amenities while also maintaining it's rustic charm.
The new addition of the expansive south facing front porch provides a great place to bask in the sun and take in the views of Reservoir Hill, while listening to the San Juan River just across the street.
The kitchen has been completely redone with an open concept to the dining room and living room. All brand new appliances including a large french door fridge, dishwasher and a gas range. A washer/dryer is also centrally located.
The main bathroom is brand new with a double vanity, huge walk in rain shower and vaulted ceilings. A new half bath also sits off the second bedroom.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and a private bath 1/2 bath. The second bedroom has vaulted ceilings and a queen bed.
The cozy living area has a deep comfy couch with great views of Reservoir Hill, as well as 50' screen TV and a Bose speaker system. Fiberoptic Wifi is brought to you by the fastest connection in town.
The property is almost a 1/4 of an acre and completely fenced in so bring your dogs. The old barn out back looks straight out of an old western and great for photos.
Hermosa St. is the best kept secret in Pagosa Springs. It sits quietly between Main St and the San Juan river offering all the peace and quiet of a mountain hide away with walking access to all the amenities of historic downtown.
Walk 50 yards to the 'beach' at Cotton Hole on the river for tubing or fishing, then spend the afternoon meandering down the river walk path to the hot springs and circle back on Main St. for a beer at Riff Raff brewery or a fancy dinner at the Alley House.

About the host
Hosted by Pete and Nikki Macomber
Pete and I met in Pagosa in 2006. I grew up here and Pete's family would visit from Santa Fe. We live in Venice, CA, where I work as a private Chef and Pete works in video production. We married in Pagosa in 2010 and in 2014 we bought this little house on our favorite street downtown. We spent 6 months remodeling the 1897 house, optimizing the floor plan and updating the amenities while trying to stay true to it's rustic charm. Now we try to get out every chance we get to enjoy Wolf Creek in the winter and the river in the summertime. I love the new Kitchen and Pete likes sitting on the front porch enjoying the peaceful view. After all our hard work, we enjoy sharing our home with others who also appreciate this great little mountain town.
