Apartment in the historic center

The apartment:
Comfortable two-room (50 sqm) newly renovated and furnished ideal for friends, couples or a family of four or with children or babies (equipped with a cot).
The apartment consists of a room used as a living / dining room with double double sofa bed and flat screen TV, a mezzanine bedroom with air conditioning, a second room used entirely as a kitchen and equipped with everything, a large bathroom with shower, which leads to a private internal courtyard, ideal for smoking, relaxing or reading a book.
The whole apartment is equipped with every comfort (free WiFi connection) and is tastefully furnished to make you feel at home.

The district:
A few steps (100 meters) you arrive in one of the main streets of the city, Via Umberto I, ideal for shopping and nightlife.
On Via Umberto you will find our characteristic "Kiosks" where you can quench your thirst with typical local drinks.
The area is well equipped with: supermarkets (200 meters), bakeries, pharmacies, restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, trattorias, bars, bike rentals, etc.
At 750 meters from the apartment is Piazza Carlo Alberto the historic market (open every morning except Sunday) where you can buy fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, clothing etc.
A 20-minute walk takes you to the Baroque-style Piazza del Duomo built in the Xl century by the Normans of Roger I, in honor of Sant'Agata, patron saint of the city.
At the center of the square is the symbol of the city, the elephant called "U Liotru", next to it is the Amenano fountain, which gives access to the fish market "Pescheria".

A tour around:
The area is served by public transport.
From the airport to the apartment by taxi the fare is around € 20.
Alternatively there is the bus (Alibus) that from the airport takes you to the city every 20 minutes at a cost of € 4 payable on the vehicle.
Exactly 1 km from the apartment there is the Central Train Station, in front there is also the Bus Terminal that connects Catania with the other locations (Taormina, Syracuse, Noto, Piazza Armerina, Agrigento, Palermo etc ...) .
Tourist tax 2 euros per night per person for the first 4 nights, to be paid upon check-in.
Children under 16 are excluded.
