Stayed with family 7adults - i would say as 1 room is bunk beds onlySuitable for 4 adults and 2 children . Great layout lovely dining room , fully equiped kitchen but kitchen quite small for big groups .

Good fish and chip shop in village plus an excellent pub for Sunday roast. Also a Spar shop, all within a short walk. Property is rather tired, uncomfortable dining room seats, ovenware old, shower leaked through to kitchen ceiling, mold in en-suite, damp crystals had not been replaced or emptied. Pillows need replacing.

Spacious, clean and very kind host. Everything at the annexe was terrific! Being from the US, we were not accustomed to driving on the narrow lanes, but when we finally arrived, we were very pleased with the space. Unfortunately the local pub was closed on Monday, but the host kindly suggested somewhere close, and we enjoyed a delicious meal at the Station Inn.

Absolutely perfect!

Really lovely property, immaculately clean, comfy beds, everything we needed was provided and a very helpful host! Nice local pub and shop within walking distance (NB. the pub stopped serving food at 8pm and the shop closed soon after, if you don't have transport and are relying on these, go early!)A most enjoyable couple of days, we were very tempted to stay longer! We will definitely return and highly recommended it.

Wonderful home from home

We stayed here so the family, that live miles apart, could all meet to go to Longleat light festival. Our party was 6 adults & 2 children and the property accommodated us easily. Everything there that we needed, clean and homely. Wonderful stay.

Nice stay at the annexe

We had a nice stay at the annexe, we stayed for 3 nights on the way back from wales to visit bath and bristol the house is in good location and has a nice local pub and a choice of pubs a short drive away, it worked well for us having a short stay there was a lovely recreation ground for the dog only a short walk aw

Grampa's 80th birthday get together

Plenty of room for making a comfortable stay for six adults and two children. The house was warm with a constant supply of hot water. Everything we needed was available. It was easy to find and in a good location. The whole family loved the property and highly recommend it.

Wedding stay over and prep

We stayed at South House as it was close to where daughter lives. However it was also close to where she was getting married and holdong her reception. Everyone got ready, the bride and bridesmaid left from here for the ceremony. However we stayed on for a few days after as its close to Bristol and Bath aa lots to see. Great location and lovely host.

The property was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The owner met with us on arrival and was very helpful. We did find that most of the channels didn’t work on the TV in the lounge but the other TV downstairs had all channels. This didn’t affect our stay as we went to a family wedding so didn’t have much spare time. Overall we would highly recommended this accommodation to share with others or to explore the area. The nearby pubs were great too.

Exactly as advertised

If you are looking for a cozy stay in a quiet village with close proximity to attractions, this is the spot for you. My wife and my three teenagers loved the annex. The apartment was very comfortable, roomy and exactly as advertised. We stayed for 4 nights and would have easily extended our stay for another few days. It was a real joy to return to the annex each day after taking day trips to Bath, Cardiff and Glastonbury. There is a quaint pub a few steps away from the apartment as well as a fish & chips restaurant and a convenient store within 5 minutes walking distance. Although the village is small, it allows for opportunities for jogging and walks throughout the village. Paul is a very gracious host. After we had a chance to settle in, Paul stopped by to introduce himself and to see if we had any questions/concerns. Our stay was exactly as we envisioned. Thanks again Paul. Clean, fresh, good value if measured against other properties in the area.

Well presented and clean, adapted accommodation on two levels. Parking for two vehicles. Another small rental unit shares the courtyard and has one parking space (but no shared walls with the Annex). Owner lives next door but thick stone wall means sound isolation is good. Small but functional kitchen with fridge (no freezer) and oven with grill. 4 electric hobs. Grill indicator light seems to not work... 4 slice toaster but only 2 work (one side). Internet a bit weak and watching BBC iPlayer on the smart TV was a struggle with frequent interruptions but phone browsing seemed OK. Overall a very suitable place to house two families and a grand parent with 3 toilets and two bathrooms for a wedding. Shower experience was let down by luxurious thick soft towels, which, as soon as they were damp, smelled of dog and other unpleasant odours. This was hopefully a one-off experience and can be easily remedied but both towels in main bedroom en-suite suffered from this. I did not have time, nor stayed long, enough to ask for fresh towels. To note that Annexe is roadside on main road passing through village... double glazing keeps noise down to very acceptable levels when windows are shut.

La maison est idéalement située, à proximité de points d’intérêts comme Longleat, Wells, Bristol ou Bath! Un bus passe dans High Littleton et relie à Bath et Bristol, ce qui évite de prendre la voiture… très appréciable!

Amazing cottage which I would highly recommend. In a great location with easy access to Bath, Bristol, Wells, Glastonbury & Cheddar Gorge. The cottage itself is huge, with 4 bedrooms, separate dining room, well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge area. It is spotlessly clean, with good quality towels and bedding. We had a lovely 3 night stay with our family of 7. Comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and spacious lounge and dining room. Had everything we needed for our stay. Really enjoyed dinner out at the Old Station Inn, such a quirky pub, amazing food. Town of Radstock only down the road, although local shop a short walk. A park and football field just around the corner which was handy for my son. A real home from home. Great communication from Paul and easy check in.

We bought this property as 'a project' that we had always longed to do. We initially lived in the annexe whilst major construction work was carried out on Southover House. Once complete we of course moved in. We have since worked hard to refurbish and redecorate The Annexe, ready for your use as a holiday home. We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay here.
